Hunched Orange Striped Cat
Is there any other place to find him once Neferset City is friendly? This is the most unfair situation I've been in.

Re: Hunched Orange Striped Cat
Lost city of Tol'Vir (the dungeon) has got hunched tigers sleeping on the sides if I don't remember wrong. But they're all lvl 85.

6 of them sleeping just inside the entrance on both sides, all level 85, best way to solo tame is to go in, pick one, begin tame, tame it, feign death and rez new pet.erwil wrote:Lost city of Tol'Vir (the dungeon) has got hunched tigers sleeping on the sides if I don't remember wrong. Yes, you can! I used this strategy when I read it off of wowhead: "For anyone looking to easily tame this after being phased out; IT IS STILL POSSIBLE!
You can land on the mountain, I believe on the southern side. Stay far away so you do not technically enter the city, but still see yourself in Uldum. You will be able to target the tiger.
Send your pet in to grab it and then pull the mob back to you. Dismiss your pet, and trap it. Works like a charm, did it yesterday."

I just got a garbage pet and dismissed it and tamed my kitty! Hope this helps!

Re: Hunched Orange Striped Cat
There's a way to get the ones in Neferset, it takes timing though... After the place is phased into friendly, if you leave that area it will de-phase back to unfriendly. So, if you go *just* outside city limits and shoot one of the tigers (might need to be on your flying mount to do that) it should run down to attack you and you can tame it.
I'm not sure if it works, but that's what I thought up when I noticed the tigers were there if I wasn't in the city.
D'oh!
Someone beat me to it!

Entrance to the instance (Lost city of Tol'Vir ) can be found here:

Run in and the tigers are to the left and right as soon as you enter.

There is a large mob of them (about 6 or 7 tigers plus a humanoid) and they hit hard, so you might want to go in with at least one other person or a group and have someone there to help hold some of them while you tame one.
I went in with another hunter and we both got our tigers with little trouble. I targeted the one that the arrow is on and got just close enough for my tame button to be in range and started taming. Had a few seconds without the mobs hitting me thanks to that. Feigned Death after the tames, let the new cats pull aggro and then ran out. Didn't die once.
Good luck. My tiger and my Sambas are fighting it out to decide which is my favorite cat skin.

Thanks for all the help. I'd been looking forward to getting him, and was nearly crying at the thought I'd messed up and screwed myself out of the chance.

Re: Hunched Orange Striped Cat
One tip for trying to solo-tame a Tol'vir tiger would be to try leaving a snake trap in a spot where the tiger you want to tame won't trigger it, but others will. They will preoccupy one or more of the other mobs there for a few seconds, which is a few second of them swatting pesky snakes instead of them swatting pesky you

Cute doesn't need an explanation.

Re: Hunched Orange Striped Cat
Tried to tame the one in the dungeon, kept saying "invalid target." *sigh*
Re: Hunched Orange Striped Cat
And I just tried to get far enough away so the city would phase back and I could target one. It didn't work for me. As soon as I clicked the tiger it disappeared.
Does anyone know if it would work to have a friend kite one out of the city?
