The Plant mosnter hissed again, choosing to crash into Phantom as opposed to flee from the flames.

Thorn Plant Monster used Wood hammer!

It screeched as the fire of Phantom's attack engulfed it, shedding burning bits of plant to try and stop the spread of the fires around it's body. Vines peel back from it's core, revealing a corner of the green gem.

Phantom let out his own hiss as he stumbled after colliding with the plant. "Damn.. As much as Flare Blitz is awesome... Recoil damage is not... Eh? What's that?" He tilted his head at the plant, taking notice of the small glimpse of the crystal.

[Lupis]

Buzzard blinked at Quest. I don't think it's a good idea to have her as one of the spokesmen, so to speak, he told Solara. The Dawn pretty much despise her. He said out loud, "Quest, you should be leading one of the attack groups. I think the Dawn will just ignore us completely if you try to tell them about peace..."

The Crescenteon looked towards the others who were on the Distraction team. "I guess we'll be saving each other's lives, so we'd better know who each other are. I'm Gibbous, been a Dusk for a little while."
"Buzzard, been a Dusk.. Nearly since the beginning," Buzzard responded. "I guess I'll be doing most of the talking."
"Flashfire," the Uniferno said. "Recent Dusk. I joined a little bit before the majority of the army scattered."

((And I'm off for the night too, because I have a head ache and I have a feeling it isn't going to just fade because I want it to. >.<))

Venin charged forward, blasting an ice bam at the center of the Plant creature, freezing the vines around the gem.
"What's the bet that's the gem the birdbrains are afer?" She said, feeling a litte more confident now that she saw the plant was in pain. "I can keep the core exposed if you can grab the gem thing."

The monster stopped it's writhing, most of the fires on it's body either put out or discarded. With a hollow roar, it raised one of it's arms, the vines snaking around themselves to grane the arm into a large whip. The Plant reared back and swung it's new vine arm at Phantom, roaring as it did so.

"I'd say it probably is!!" Phantom replied, "And that works for me, as long at this thing doesn't catch me beforehand!" He added, narrowly dodging the Power Whip and then retaliating with a Fire Blast.

[Kamalia]

Taia tapped her claws against the ground as she waited. She was a bit curious as to why they were going to ask the Dawn and Sunrise to surrender. From what she'd heard and experienced, they seemed like an awful determined bunch not to join them. Seemed like a waste of time to her. She glanced over the army, briefly pondering exactly why they refused to join.

Molly had hurriedly told Holly to return back to the humans and her guardians once the message had been spread. She stood nervously drumming her fingers against her arm.
Olivia was simply watching the other Pokémon with a frown on her face. Did they even have a plan yet? Almost everyone looked like they were in a state of panic.

Julius was oblivious to the message, still out in the forest. He paused momentarily as he caught a few words before shrugging to himself and continuing his search. He liked this. Helped keep his mind off of things.

How about this for an excuse; It can sense that both Venin and Phantom are Dusk infected, but it can't cure them by itself. So it's doing the next best thing in attacking them. Or it's just an evil Tangrowth/evil magic vines using Haruto as a power source. Your call.))

The Plant recoiled from the flames, twisting it's other arm into a thorny whip as it waited for the fires to die down. It swung both limbs up into the air, before crashing them down towards the Smolderon.

Venin darted around the plant, blasting it with ice beams, freezing one of the arms and making sure it's exposed chest remained open.

Holly, her face covered in cake, looked up to Molly as she was moved away. "I dun' wanna go, I can fight with you!" She called out stubbornly.

((Actually that's preatty damn close to the power I gave him, he's able to summon his own little personal army of mini, weak monster plants and is able to cure any sick crops of even grow some if he chooses within his own step but only does it so rarely often, I'm just going to go guess that it's the same thing that happened to venatre It got too stressed and attacked, I don't know what it attacked but probably the shocked pokemon fled by now))

"This is getting REALLY old... Time to freakin' finish this thing off!!!" Phantom snarled, baring his fangs and firing a horribly large blast of flames at the plant before charging foward, hitting it with multiple attacks.

The Gardevoir paused her finger drumming to look at Holly. It sounds like it might be very dangerous, Holly, and we don't want you to get hurt. Don't worry, we'll see each other again soon. I promise. She told her in an effort to reassure both the human girl and herself. She reached out to wipe a glob of icing off of the girl's chin. Okay?

((Well, glad my thinking was somewhat right then. Side note, huge plant monsters are awesome.))

The Plant screeched shrilly as the flames rolled over it, incinerating most of the vines, leaving a trace few wrapped around a green gem on the ground.
"Nice work!" Venin said as she slowly padded over, nuzzling Phantom briefly before looking down at the small green gem. "That's what was fueling the plant? Huh, wouldn't have expected that. Best bring it to the pidgeons before it makes a tree monster or something."

Holly found tears starting to roll down her face, she reached up and furiously hugged the Gardevoir. "But what if the bad pokemon kill you?! I wasn't there to help mum and dad, and they got killed, I don't wanna loose you too! I had so much fun today..." She tried to choke back a sob.

Seventeen emerged from the forest and padded over to Buzzard, ears and tail raised, barking at him in greeting. Gamin appeared not too far behind ehr, looking about at all the evolved dusk nearby. He whistled in an impressed manner.
"Seems the pet human has been busy, Dragon," He said with a grin. "We came ta' help. What's the plan?'

[Senna-Umbreon]

Phantom grinned proudly, "Heh, no plant stands a chance against me. Even if they are enormous gem-created monsters!" He let out a laugh and returned Venin's nuzzle before bending down to pick up the gem, "Well.. Let's see if we can find those feather-brains again."

[Moonlost]

"Phantom, slayer of weeds, destroyer of fungus. Protector of all things fuzzy." Venin grinned back, feeling much herself now that there wasn't the looming threat of a large plant monster. She padded ahead, laughing as she did so.

On a nearby tree, the three bird pokemon dozed, their feathers fluffed up.

[Senna-Umbreon]

Phantom rolled his eyes but laughed as he trotted after Venin. After a few minutes, he stopped, sniffing the air, "Ey! Bird-brains! I know you're there! So get the hell down here!" He called out, staring up at the surrounding trees.

[Moonlost]

There was a loud squawk as the birds woke up; the Fearow fell out of their roosting tree in surprise. Venin snickered at that.
The tree assembled on a lower branch, trying to appear as dignified as possible, although their fluffled feathers and the now-dirty Fearow made that hard.

"So then," The pidgeot cleared her throat. "Do you have the gem?"

[Senna-Umbreon]

Phantom laughed at the three birds, then took a step closer to the tree and placed the gem down on the ground. "Here it is. One gem as promised."

[Moonlost]

The staravia glided down tot he gem, squinting at it, then pecking it.
"Seems to be the real thing!" It called up.
The Pidgeot sighed. "Well, I guess a deal is a deal. Follow us, we'll show you where the Sunrise is... If you can keep up."
The three birds took wing, the staravia picking up the gem as they did so, then flew off.

"I have half a mind to shoot those birds out of the sky!" Venin snarled, her tail thrashing angrilly.

[Senna-Umbreon]

Phantom sighed, "Apparently life doesn't even want to CONSIDER giving us the chance to rest.... Well, better get going." He grumbled, then bent down and picked Venin up by the scruff of her neck and took off after the birds.

[Moonlost]

"As the humans say no rest for the wicke-Hey!" Venin called out as she was grabbed. "We're going to have to think of something a little more dignified if you're going to have to keep carying me, fuzzbutt."
