"Ah snarkyness, you haven't let me down yet." Venin said with a contented sigh, padding back over to Phantom. "Now then Lord Phantom of Fuzzshire, I've been on my feet for over a day now. I'm tired, how about we find somewhere to sleep. Perhaps on the opposite side of the camp from your sister, Dame Floof, lest she try to murder us in our sleep. Or draw funny faces on us or something."

[Senna-Umbreon]

((... Lord Phantom of Fuzzshire and Dame Floof. .... Holy HELL Moon, you seriously come up with the best nicknames ever XD .. Or maybe I'm just finding them so hilarious because of my stupid headache XD))

"Seriously Venin, you are FULL of nicknames, aren't you?" Phantom said, grinning down at her, "But yeah.. Rest would be nice."

".......... Idiots." Ghost said simply, then turned around, faded and trotted back the way she had come.

"Aaaand there she goes." Phantom sighed, then added, "Time to go find a place to rest.. Let's hope we don't run into more Dawn who'd rather see us die than let us join them..." He then bent down and poked Venin's side with his nose before cackling and skedaddling away.

((It's a gift. XD One fueled by the insanity of Venin anyway. And now that that's diffused, I'm going to edit my prior post. No need for Baaz to poke his nose in just yet.))

Venin watched Ghost stalk away, tail flicking. "And here I thought everyone enjoyed my jokes. Oh well, plenty of time for me to grow on her. Like a fungus." She grinned, then jumped a little as she felt Phantom's nose jab into her side. "Oh you're dead!" She laughed, dashing after the Smolderon.

[Senna-Umbreon]

"Haha! Only if you can catch me!!" Phantom cackled as he bounded away. He turned his head and stuck his tongue out at Venin, "You're pretty slow, aren't ya? Ha--ACK!!!" He yelped, coming to a screeching stop to avoid trampling a smaller Pokemon that had for some reason been standing in his way.

"The HELL what that?! Watch where you're going you--" The Smoldereon was cut short as he looked down at the creature he had nearly stepped on. Of course, it was none other than... Rust. "........ You're... Ghost's kid, aren't ya?"

"Meep!" The Cranievee squeaked, looking up at Phantom curiously.

"Says the fuzzbum who screeches to a dead hault!" Velin called as she mock pounced at him, her two front paws hooked over his shoulderblades. She then looked over at the cause of his sudden hault. "Huh, don't see mixed breeds too often. Cute though." She carefully padded over to Rust and sniffed. "Does this mean he's your nephew?"

[Senna-Umbreon]

"I suppose it does. Wonder what the heck he's doing out here... It's not safe for a little kid to be wandering around without someone to watch over it. Some mom Ghost is..." Phantom commented, snickering slightly as Rust squeaked and pounced on Venin's tail.

[Moonlost]

"Apparently you don't remember being a kit," Venin snickered. "I took every chance I could to run off when I was young. Admitedly, there weren't ravening dusk abou-hey!" She twitched her tail over to the other side of her body. "Urgh, sharp little teeth. Suppose we should take the little guy back to his mum, before he runs into something nastier than us."

[Senna-Umbreon]

"Heh, I wish I could've done that. Couldn't though. Too many rules in the tribe I used to live in... But aw well, that doesn't matter." He grinned, "But yeah, we should take the little guy back.. Though we'll probably get our tails gnawed off because Ghost'll think we tried to hurt him or something. But hey, that's better than him running into some Dusk..."

"Meep? Meep meep!!" Rust squeaked, clinging onto Venin's tail.

[Moonlost]

"Who knows? Maybe she'll be so overcome with joy that she'll fall onto her belly in grateful tears, promising to set your shared past behind her." Venin grinned as she stood up, keeping her tail low to keep Rust on it. "... Yeah, I doubt it too." She laughed, padding in the direction she saw the Umbreon head off to, checking back occassionally to make sure the other two were keeping up.
"So, as much as I hate to scratch at old wounds, what's with your family? I gather there's some sort of tradition that surrounds it, but I've never heard you talk about it."

[Senna-Umbreon]

"Well, it's a long story..." Phantom sighed, padding along side Venin, "But.. Basically, the tribe I was born in had a LOT of rules. Like.. A hundred. If not more. The most 'sacred' rule was one about evolution... So, in the tribe, couples would have 8 kits. Always. No more, no less. Unless there's new Eeveelutions discovered, of course, then the number changed. Anywho... The oldest kit, AKA me for my family, would evolve into whatever they want. The next kit would evolve into anything they wanted besides the one the oldest one is. And it goes on and on until the 8th and final kit, who ALWAYS stays an Eevee. No matter what. This rule, however, didn't give my family any problems. For a while, that is. The first problems started when it was found out that Ghost was a Delta Species... Things changed a lot then. Up until then, I had been the favoured kit, like all eldest siblings in families in the tribe. But when my parents found out about Ghost having special powers? It was like I never even existed... What's even worse is that they had all these expectations for her. They thought she'd be the most amazing thing ever. She wasn't, though. And yet, I was still ignored. Ignored all for some stupid little sister who was a disappointment to the family... Our problems didn't end there, though. When it came time for the second youngest, Rale, to evolve into a Glaceon.... Well, the youngest, Mercury, ended up evolving by accident. So he became a Glaceon, which of course broke the most important rule in the tribe. And believe it or not, the whole tribe blamed ME for it. Oh, like I TOTALLY pushed Mercury into that Frozen Rock..." He trailed off there, grumbling. After a bit, he spoke up again, "Anyway. That's pretty much it. Though now.. Ghost's gone and broken one of the other rules of the tribe. One of the rules happens to be that members of the tribe can ONLY take other Eeveelutions as mates. This little guy here," He pointed a tail at Rust, "Makes it obvious how she totally ignored that rule. Also, remember how Ghost mentioned that her life has been hell because of me? Funnily enough.. MY life has been hell because of HER too. Rather ironic. We've both ruined each others lives."

Venin listened to Phantom silently as she kept pace beside him. She flicked her tail a few times, slowly though, as to not disturb the small creature attached to it. She found herself not sure what to say, mostly for fear of insulting the male she cared about.
"I never knew, I'm sorry." She said, feeling lame. "... I've always valued my own personal freedom. You need to be able to make your own choices in life, to hell with anyone who thinks otherwise. So I can sympathise with your sister and your kin. But I suppose me ranting about that comes as old news now."
She looked back at Rust. "I suppose it's hard to just let go of history like that. Hell knows I failed when we went back to the Dusk. But Seventeen never has a little guy as cute as this padding about. Even if his teeth are as sharp as sin."

[Senna-Umbreon]

"Mm.. You know.. I've kind of realized something lately... Despite the fact that my life went to hell in a handbasket after Ghost became the center of attention.. It was never her fault that I was ignored. It was my parents' fault... And yet.. On the other hand, I went out of my way to ruin Ghost's life." Phantom sighed, "I guess I was pretty stupid when I was younger... That doesn't excuse what I've done, though. I think I knew I was being stupid once I got a bit older.. But I kept being mean to her... Why? I dunno really.. Maybe I was just too afraid of how she and the rest of my siblings would react to me suddenly changing so much........"

((Poor Phantom D: *Huggles him, and surprisingly doesn't get mauled* HEY! I DIDN'T GET MAULED! YAAAAAA-- *Gets mauled* >.<))

"Well, you were the center of attention for a while, up until your sister came along." Venin responded, musing. "Athough you're right in that it was your parents fault, it doesn't mean she wasn't an easy target. And less likely to punish you for daring to speak your mind." She turned and smiled at him. "Does it mean anything that I think you've risen above the sum of your parts? I may be biased though." She rubbed her head up against his mane.

[Senna-Umbreon]

"Aw well. Honestly.. It doesn't matter anymore. What's done is done. Ghost will probably hate me forever, even if I try explaining this all to her..." He sighed again, then grinned at Venin, "And of course you're biased. How could you not be?" He laughed, sticking his tongue out at her.

Meanwhile... Rust had fallen asleep on Venin's tail.

"This is true," Venin grinned. "And you're right, of course. The past doesn't matter, it's the now that's important." She reached up and nipped at his ear, before noticing the Carnievee had fallen asleep. "Hah, guess he thought it was a boring conversation!" She laughed, curling her tail up to try and provide a more stable sleeping platform.

[Senna-Umbreon]

Phantom chuckled, glancing back at the sleeping Cranievee, "Or maybe he was just tired from exploring so m--THEHELL?!" He was cut off as a Hyper Beam hit the ground right in front of him. Glancing up, he blinked as he saw a familiar Umbreon up ahead. "Told ya she'd gnaw our tails off."

"You bastards give me my son!! I don't care if you haven't done anything to him.. JUST STAY THE HELL AWAY FROM HIM!!!" Ghost roared, glaring at Phantom and Venin.

((Oh Ghost... >.> Also. This maaaay be a good time to bring in Baaz. Or else these two won't ever have a chance at joining the Dawn. All thanks to Ghost being.. Well, herself to them XD))

((T.T so mcuh for leaving poor lovelost-Baaz out of this. Off he goes then! I'll have to re-edit him leaving again.))

"We were bringing him back to ya!" Venin snapped, lowering the Carnievee to the ground and jumping over to check up on Phantom. Seeing he was uninjured, the Vaporeon lifted her head to glare at Ghost. "And who the hell fires a Hyper Beam when their own child is nearby the target?! Aren't you afraid you'll hit him, or is it justified because of some stupid past you can't seem to get over?"
She clawed at the dirt, her tail thrashing madly now. She hated to get into another fight, but she refused to back down from this.

Baaz's ears twitched, he could hear fighting. Damn! He growled softly under his breath, picking up the pace, hoping to reach Venin before she killed anybody.

[Senna-Umbreon]

"You obviously didn't see that I was aiming at the ground! Not surprising. You Dusk have always been idiots." Ghost sneered, stalking over to the pair and picking up the STILL sleeping Rust before darting back to her original position. "Like I said. I couldn't care less if you didn't hurt him. There's no way in HELL I'm letting Sunrise wannabees like you two near him!"

Phantom, despite himself, just sighed. Here we go again... He thought, hoping that Ghost would just buzz off so he and Venin could finally get some rest.

[Moonlost]

"And what if you missed?" Venin retorted. "What if he suddenly darted ahead of us, into the way of the beam? What if you saw his little body incinerated by the scathing light fired by you just to warn us off; his fur searing off his flesh, followed by his muscle, down to his tiny skeletal structure? If anyone is being an idiot, it's certainly not us. Grow up, you're embarasing youself."
She rubbed her head on Phantom. "Let's get out of here." She muttered.

Suddenly, Baaz bursted though the underbrush, landing next to Ghost, his mouth set in a grimance. "What's happening here?" He growled.

Venin flinched back. "Guess this is a family reunion for more than one of us." She grunted.

((Dammit. Venin is REALLY good at outwitting people XD *Has been reading though previous parts of this story and snickering over how Venin completely OWNED Phantom when the two of them met*))

Ghost flinched, taking a step backwards, her fur standing on end and her claws unsheathed. She was about to retaliate with her own insults, but stopped as Baaz appeared.

"Oh look. Apparently I'm not the only overgrown fire-puppy now." Phantom commented, flicking his tails as he blinked at the Arcanine.

((Aaaand I'm probably gonna head to bed soon.. Stupid headache... >.<))
