I'd like the worgen "mount" animation better if they'd stand up whenever they stopped moving.
As it is, if they're not moving, it looks like they're "presenting", if you know what I mean.

I really enjoyed the run through the Worgen started zone. It was a well thought out series of quests and generally worked for me.
I like the concept that the Worgen don't need mounts but the animation itself is not very attractive.

Agreed. I was like, oh cool, worgen will run on all fours, that's a neat idea. Then it was like, oh gawd they look funny doing that. Ended up working into my hunter's story that when she becomes of level to get a mount, her trusted pet will also become her mount.Raederle wrote: I like the concept that the Worgen don't need mounts but the animation itself is not very attractive.

I think Blizzard's worgen, especially the females, would look good, maybe even better, with a tail. Just my two cents.

Re: So... Worgen...
I said that female worgen look horrible, Talu. That is MY opinion, you (and everyone else) are free to think otherwise. Male worgen I think look okay, and I think a very large part of that is that they don't have the ugly ugly breasts the females have, and MUCH better eyes. Mind you, this is MY opinion. You're free to disagree. I think they look horrible. You don't. See how easy that problem was to solve?
And troughout WoW lore there has always been other planets. The titans traveled between worlds bringing order, the eredar lived on Argus, from whence the draenei were exiled to a number of planets before finally ending up on Azeroth. the nathrezim came from their own planet, the ethereals had a planet too, but they couldn't be killed by the legion so they were allowed to live, and the worgen came from their own planet / dimension (the terms seem interchangeable in WoW lore), where they were fighting the "Lords of the Emerald Flame" (Burning Legion?). Arugal summoned them into Azeroth, as did the Scythe of Elune. The new lore, in MY opinion, sucks compared to the old lore. The old lore was a unique take on werewolves, and it was good at that. The new is a bad version of every other werewolf, as in "Some scientist druid experiments. They create a virus/bacteria/curse werewolf form, which is a mindless killing machine. The curse spreads."
By that logic, druidism is a virus. Now, I don't like that lore. I can't even pretend to.

Re: So... Worgen...
It's certainly nice to play through the Worgen starting area even if you don't plan on continuing after that. It doesn't take long and it's really very well made. Certainly worth seeing. Same goes for the Goblin starting zone. Though they're very different in style, so which one is better depends greatly on personal taste.
About the dimensions of WoW: The Elemental Plane is definitely an example of a different dimension, though it's obviously not where Worgen could come from. Another example for a different dimension is the Twisting Nether, which is where Kil'Jaeden is sulking at the moment. And wasn't Draenor messed up so badly because it was torn from the material world, so that Outland is now on a different plane of existance as Azeroth? Then there are the Emerald Dream and the Realm of Shadows, though those two might be better described as parallel universes since they kind of are Azeroth but not. So different dimensions and travelling between them is definitely a reality in WoW. It may be more sci-fi than fantasy, but honestly I've never understood why so many people insist on seperating the two. I've no problem with mages in space and really like that Blizzard is open-minded about this aswell.
About Worgen lore: I also much prefered the old origin story of Worgen and really wish Blizz had stuck to it. The new one is so forced. It uses a sledge hammer to beat druids into a story that shouldn't have anything to do with them. All probably just to explain how Worgen can play the druid class. A most aweful rewrite, IMHO.

Re: So... Worgen...
If you've gotten to romp around in worgen form for a while and do the starting zone, I think that's a good indicator of whether you would enjoy playing one for keeps.
As goofy as my female worgen looks in some aspects, I sure wouldn't trade her in. Her human form looks so static compared to her animated and lively movements.

Re: So... Worgen...
I liked the old WIP females too. Mean atleast the eyes looked alive, with all the pretty glows and colors, even if a bit I'm a derp fox going on.Saturo wrote:Old worgen > Crappy new worgen. Don't get me started on the ugly-as-hell females. I can tolerate the males, but the females... Just... Ugh. Hideous.
I say goblin, at least until you get out of the starting zone. It really is awesome.
Sadly as much as I hate the female voice and model, it's still way better imo than the male model. Mean don't get me wrong. Male model is lovely.
When. Standing. Still.
When on the move it's Arlbgemargle I'M MISTER HYDE ON CRACK. *swings arms exaggeratingly so like a hopped up chimpanzee on roids*
Females atleast move a bit normally. And aslong as I never look at their face I never have to see the souless look in their derp eyes. Or the wierd snarl. Though now I'm staring at female worgen ass all the time and I find myself thinking. This would be more bearable if they had tails. This ass looks wrong without a tail. Then I face desk.
Also anyone found an addon that cancels the damned sniff sniff sniffing? It happens even when I'm in combat or even getting out of combat for -one second- ;.;
