I'm still shaking. I almost died when NPCscan went off in Uldum. A blue Madexx! COULD IT BE!?

Was he dead? Did I make it? Was I beaten to a tame? And there he was, skittering along, waving his pincers in the air like he just didn't care. Wild and free! Thank you thread. I greedily snatched up green and black in the hopes that I would be happy. But I really like all three. I am well and truly done. Jadefang's minipet would be nice, but not something I will camp for.

It feels strange. Happy. Yet strange.

yesterday I posted in this thread for some loque luck. today, I found him. (~5:45am server Thrall-US)

Moved part by desire, part by guilt for past neglect, I tirelessly circled the basin.

I would stop by the hardknuckles, see if i could communicate with the intelligent creatures for hints to loqque's whereabouts. I knew loque tended to frequent some of their grazing grounds. Unfortunately the foragers just looked at me like I was a level 85 banana and the chargers would attack me if i drew to close to them. so i moved on.

the dreadsabers were too busy hunting the longnecks (doubt they would give me more than their claws anyway), and out of desperation i even stopped to ask Shango, who proceeded to try and maul me. the basin is a harsh jungle, i never knew why loque slipped into our world here. maybe he held a bond with these savage animals, i dont know.

then finally, I saw him wandering around majestically.. my heart sank, for he was the same spot I had slain him and sent him back into the spirit world some months ago, drunk on aspiration for empty achievements.

So I landed on a nearby rock and sat, watching him for a moment.



i slowly approached him, curious if he would remember our last encounter. does he forgive? does he forget? I reached out to him, to befriend him, but he immediately turned to attack me. swipe after swipe, but finally he was worn down. I sat to the ground weary... and to my surprise he walked right up next to me. at long last, old sins forgiven, new friendships forged, Loque'nahak was finally home.

Cripes, I'm shaking xD Got me a Loque :3 I was circling for days, after any of the rares there, cause they're all cool. Got Krush yesterday (after 5 deaths to him, olul), and Aotona earlier; I found a Loque body at around 8.30pm (after logging for 5 mins to get a pic from WMV); I quested for a bit, but kept finding myself wanting to be in the Basin. At 8.30am, I resumed my circling, mainly focusing on :30 and :00, while staying camped otherwise. At 10.30, I had a /really/ strong feeling - proper gut instinct, so I started my usual route - not really expecting much (but my heart still hammered when I flew over his spawn points xD) - I'd been /who'ing, and knew I was the only person around, so if Loque planned to make himself known, now was a pretty good time.

Aaand there he was ^^ Pacing among the grazers. NPCScan blares, I drop into Conc-shot range, plop a trap at my toes, and shoot - he pounced into the trap as planned, and for once, I got taming screenies xD I'm normally too caught up to grab 'em, but this just felt RIGHT.

Thankyou thread of epic luck and win ^^ (when I get to 77, it'll be this all over again with a certain purple ghostly kitty who I've had my eye on xD)

To madexx: just please listen to this message i have to say. me seeing all these hunters with you i get so jealous and wonder why you have only spawned brown/gold every time you have spawned in the past week and 4 days. but anyways please just spawn for me in blue. im ok with green but i must have blue. i wont stop camping until i get your blue form. so please dont make it harder than it is. im alrdy trying to bring you to a new family so you can be happy and im going to save you this time. when you respawn ill make sure noone kills you im GOING to be there first. i promise

I snatched up bronze (it was my second favorite color, after all), hoping that it would satisfy me, but green is the only one that will make me truly happy. I must have him.

I have made mention that I wanted you in blue, green, or red... with green being my top choice now, so I am looking forward to you spawning in your brown color out of spite... but guess what... I'll still tame you in brown and then months from now I'll get you dyed into the color I want... I am not too sure that you will enjoy the dye job, so hopefully you'll come out soon in a color I want and we won't have to get the dye ready later on...

Got a red Madexx last night, about 12:45, so then went to do a bunch of AH stuff since I had been camping and mining for way too many hours, and did some prospecting too.. so then go to Jadefang's cave, and I missed her by 6 minutes.. after I spent over an hour on the AH and shuffling stuff between toons.. /sob...

Hi all, my first post here, been watching the forums for a while now though and I need some of this luck with the mighty King Krush, he's the ultimate favourite pet that I would love to tame and if I could only have one, he would be the pet I'd take. I've been after Krush since I first heard about him in Wrath but despite having one opportunity to tame him ( which was stolen from me on my 3rd try by a smelly paladin) I've only ever seen this guy twice and both times he was dead, although I did get a little karmic luck the other day after I found him dead I went to Uldum to go mining and as I'm sitting there chatting about how frostbitten is such a crappy achievement with a friend, what should spawn in front of me but a shiny red Madexx. I already had him in black but the red is my absolute fave, so that helped a little.

Anyway back on topic, please King Krush you smexy green devilsaur, come join my stables and you'll have all the tasty treats you can eat.

I was actually surprised that he decided to spawn during the time he did. I had no idea when his last spawn was and the last time I knew he had spawned was two days ago at 2pm. I was not even going to camp him for very long because I have not been feeling that great for the last few days.

I am glad that this thread has brought so much joy to so many hunters, and I am glad that people are thanking the thread and not me for starting it.

Some people say the thread is luck and as uncanny as it sounds it might be, but remember something... you can create your own luck too. I can not dismiss the thread as being a gathering grounds for hunters looking for new companions and something about posting here and then most hunters getting what they asked for pretty soon afterwards is just plain creepy. Creepy in a good way.

To the hunters who have yet to tame that one elusive pet you have been after... keep your chin up, your cup filled with your favorite beverage, and keep your eyes open. You will get it sooner or later.

I have never seen you in the wild, and I crave to be able to get that look and decide for myself whether, like Sambas, you can change my mind. Even if you don't, there is a lovely hunter out there who is craving you, and as has been proven in the past, I'm more than happy to send you to a warm and loving stable.

So please, Madexx. Let this rare-collector take his traditional snapshot of you for his photobook, and bring you to the attention of someone who would love you. Or, perhaps, if you spawn in a beautiful enough color, you may melt the heart of this old dwarf and find yourself the perfect home.
