Helluva day sunday was for me

Woke up early sunday morning so I can could camp terrorpene. Last pet for cata I needed. There was a level 81 hunter also camping terrorpene but it didn't bother me much because he only had 40k HP. Instant death trying to tame terrorpene.

After a few hours terrorpene spawned but I was afk surfing the web playing music. Npc scan went off but obviously I didn't hear it. I clicked on wow and to my suprise I see the icon from npc scan has terrorpene highlighted. I look around and didn't notice the hunter or terrorpene so I figured he tamed it. Sent him a quick whisper but never recieved a reply back. I quickly checked all his spawn points and there he was moving slowly in the lava.

As I landed I noticed the level 81 hunter recovering from death. His priest alt is right next too him. I started my tame only to have him break my tame and steal aggro. I was so angry. He died again when he stole my aggro. I ate some food to regain health so I could start another tame. As I'm eating, I noticed the prist rezzing the huntard and healing him to full health. He quickly used a pot and started a tame. I tried breaking his tame to give him a taste of how it feels to steal someone tame but I was too late. The potion he took was a haste pot and he tamed terrorpene right in front of me. I was furious because terror would have been mines had he respected himself. I really dislike dirty cheap players.

After I lost terrorpene, I decided to check on madexx spawn. I tamed green madexx last month but I really wanted the black/red or Red maddex. Teleported to uldum and npc scan went off and it's red madexx. Dropped down and tame madexx. I felt a little better because I know have 2 madexx. Green and Red.

Later during the day I decided I wanted ashtail. Flew to his spawn area but he wasn't up. Came back a few hours later used a macro and there he was. Dropped down for a quick tame. Tamed 2 rare pets in one day. Started to feel real good now.

I was curious to find out if TLPD was up so I took a trip to northrend. I had a lot of playing time on my hands so I made a quick stop in S.basin. Flying around npc scan alerted me King Krush was available. I drop down started taming, got feared, aggro'd a few mobs, restarted my tame and King Krush was mines. 3 rares in 1 day. I'm really loving this.

Fly over to storm peaks to look for TLPD but he wasn't up. I decided to check for skoll near the cave and npc scan alerted me he was available for a tame. I already had skoll so I decided to ask around if anyone wanted to tame skoll. To my surprise nobody wanted skoll. I couldn't bring myself to killing him so I tamed him. 4 rare spawns in 1 day.

I was timing terrorpene respawn and figured he would spawn back between 8-10hrs. I was wrong. It took 15 hours for him to respawn. Terror spawned for the 2nd time and I was so happy because I thought he would be mines. As I'm landing a hunter lands also. He just happened to be in the area and noticed terror. I started too tame terrorpene first and right before my tame is complete the unthinkable happened. The rogue hunter broke my tame, I died, then I watched in disbelief, terrorpene tamed by the rogue hunter.

I messaged the hunter and asked him why he stole aggro, I recieved the usual WoW idiotic reply. I lost 2 terrorpene spawns sunday. Tamed 4 rares. As I'm writing this, I'm still in hyjal camping terror.

If the first hunter was also camping, and you were afk when he attempted his first tame (or tames), then I'd say it was fair.
The second hunter, I will give you that he was completely wrong.

Bah, what bad luck on Terrorpene. :/ I hope you get him soon. I don't see why hunters have to be so rude about taming pets, sigh.

Grats on all the other rares though, hehe. That's certainly a nice collection to have gathered in only a day.

Don't be so quick to think an 81 can't tame Terrorpene, as I just did over the weekend, twice on my two hunters both with 35k hp buffed, stacked to the gills with haste pot, elixirs, & ancient hysteria... but don't doubt for a minute it can't be done just because of hp.

Regardless grats on your new friends, & darn shame those folks had to be a-holes about the terrorpene

This. I'm pretty sure I have my server's first Terrorpene, since I got him on the day of the xpac and at level 81. It took two healers carefully keeping my Hunter alive, but we did it, and I had my Cata leveling buddy at 81.

Unfortunately, with the way that he hits like a truck, it seems that a lot of ninjas seem to barge in and steal him off of others. :\ I keep hearing more and more stories about it.

It's good to hear you had so much luck with everything else, OP! Hopefully you get Terrorpene soon.
