Help me figure out my character list?

Having made Nesingwary my main realm, I've slowly been rebuilding my stock of various alt characters. In fact, my character slots are practically all full at the moment, and I still have some important decisions to make! >.>

So, if you all don't mind, I was hoping to visually brainstorm here and maybe get some input from others as to what I should do. I'm making an organized list below to better help sort things out.

Okay, so that's what I have planned so far.

Typically I like having one of every class on a realm, however there's been a few that I've attempted multiple times and just did not like. Warriors are one example. I've determined that they are just not for me and so I will not make one. I really didn't like Mages either. The Mage on my old server made it to a fairly decent level but was demoted to bank alt. Still, this was before the random dungeon finder, so they may be fun to play now.

Anyways, I guess the decisions that I'm having a hard time with are:

a) Gazini - I created her with the intention of her becoming my main character, but then I moved Vephriel over so I haven't played her since. I really like her, but I'm waffling over whether I should keep her or not.

b) What to make my Goblin. I love the idea of a hunter because all of the pets will seem so huge. A rogue would be awesome too. Still, I'm also loving the concept of an Undead Hunter. Then I have Vephriel and Gazini as well. I know you can never have too many hunters, but with limited room on a server I'm not sure if I should be indulging in my hunter obsession so much.

c) What to do with that last slot. Technically at the moment all of my slots are full, but I'm planning to delete my Tauren Druid since there's no point in playing before the Troll Druids are released in Cataclysm. That's the extra spot. As I mentioned, I could move my Death Knight or Mage over, or I could start a Rogue (if my Goblin isn't one), or an Undead Hunter. At this point in time I'm not sure if I want to even use a Death Knight, so that's why I can't decide if I'd want to use my last character slot to move mine over.

I suppose this is mostly for myself to look at. Having things put down right in front of me is easier than trying to fiddle around in my head. If you have any input or suggestions I'd be happy to here them, and thanks for putting up with my rambling. xD

Well I can't really tell you what to do, but I'll tell you what I'd do (looking at your specific questions...)

a) I'd keep Gazini. I've decided to spec Sarayana as MM and I'm not touching her SV spec, so Aoani will be my BM hunter. Perhaps use Gazini to play around, since you're attached to your BM pets on Veph? Besides, like you said, you're attached to her.

b) Don't make another hunter if you're not deleting Gazini. Make Mecha a rogue.

c) Really depends... Let's see, you're gonna have the troll druid, you'll have the worgen (hunter again? ), and you have a shammy, a pally, a lock and a priest. Plus the future rogue. I'd say to either bring over the DK or mage, or perhaps consider rolling one on Nesingwary. A worgen DK would be pretty cool.

Personally, I find that it's when my character screen is full that I absolutely have to roll another toon... so consider just leaving it open. Who knows, maybe you just absolutely have to have that gnome shadowpriest (ok, I confess, the thought of this amuses me to NO END!) or undead hunter or whatever... There are going to be so many new race/class combos in Cata I wouldn't want to have my screen full.

If your druid is a high level I'd save it to race change on cata. That's what I'm planing on my druid.

Hehe, thanks Sarayana. You're probably right with keeping that last spot empty for now. My Death Knight and Mage both have had a lot of work/gold/time put into them, that's why I'd eventually maybe bring one of them over instead of wasting that. However, both classes aren't exactly ones I see myself really excited to play often, so they're probably fine hanging back on my old server at least for now.

Again, I have a really visual-oriented mind, so seeing something all put down usually helps me contemplate it better. Though I'm really bad for second-guessing myself, hence the decision to make a thread and just see what some opinions were.

I know I have a ton of hunters, but I can't help it, they're my favourite class. xD I'm positive about the Worgen Hunter mostly because Worgens are the first Alliance race that I think I'll actually feel motivated to play. I just can't get into Alliance characters usually, but if Lycana will be my one and only Alli, I may as well make her a hunter. I'm familiar with the class, plus they're the easiest and fastest to solo level. I'd just like to see some of the lore and quests from the Alliance side that you don't get as Horde. That's the only reason I'd stick with her.

Oh, and my druid is only level 10, that's why I figure I'll stop there and just wait for Cataclysm.

I know mages can seem pretty bothersome at first as well.

I found out after you put a lot of work into them, they can be exciting. I love my 80 mage and he took over as my main. XP

Yeah I love the idea of the mage at level 80. I just hate the idea of the other 79 levels... After starting and giving up on three mages, I'm probably going to try the LFG leveling approach, since mages do well when they have someone taking the hits for them. We'll see.

I know what you mean, Veph, I love hunters too. I was wary about rerolling on another server, but making Aoani a hunter has made it really painless. (Helps that the company's good too. ) I'll definitely be tempted to make an undead hunter in Cata. And perhaps a goblin. Heheh. I can give the advice, I just can't take it.

Of course I'm still sort of hoping-against-hope that Blizzard might be kind enough to increase the maximum number of characters per realm. Even before Cataclysm was announced I know plenty of people that had filled their spots. New races are just so exciting, it's painful having to delete some of your old characters to make room.

Heh, I know what you mean, deciding who to keep/who to delete can be such a bother sometimes. Especially if the character had started developing some personality.

Anyway! I would have said DK for makin' money, but as you already have Vephriel over here your level 80 will have a much easier time of that. That being said, I'd agree with Sarayana...keep the last space open. You never know when you're gonna need/want it. If you feel like a char is taking up space, you could always delete it and restart the race later if you want, or demote it to bank alt so they're at least holding their own weight.

Here it is:

"I was wondering if there has been any word on whether they are going to allow more character slots for Cataclysm? What with all the new race/class combos and the introduction of two new races it seems like there should be a greater push for extra slots."

Each time the topic comes up, Blizzard's response is that they have no plans at this time. My personal bet for an additional character slot is when they release another class.
