Lol I kinda like that actually.
We sat on Vent for hours trying to come up with names.
Unfortunately, half the names anyone wanted were also at risk of being reported
and I had to shut down their ideas in fear of my account being suspended if I get reported again.
Ugh, so fail.

But at least we were able to settle on a name
and not have to start up a new guild and lose all our hard work. (:

About the signature:
Gimlions signature looks like it's one of those I made quite a while ago.
I stopped doing them when requests started piling up and I spent more time doing signatures than I did browsing the forums.

About the name reporting:
I report names, toons and guilds as well, whenever I have the feeling that a name is either
a) inappropriate for a RP-realm (I only play on those),
b) inappropriate for other players (mind you, the game can be played by kids age 12 and up),
c) is offensive in any way or
d) can be misunderstood.

The names you posted might be very witty as wordplays but if your realm is an RP-realm, they are just a gigantic fail.
In my opinion, regardless of the realm type you play on, they are just childish. "Hordecore Pwnstars" is a name, some 14year olds would choose while giggling like mad.
If you choose a name that is a play on words, you'll always lose some of your sincerity.

We had a raiding guild on our realm, that give a f*ck for roleplaying. But at least, they showed some respect and had no toon names that were inappropriate and called themselves "Eisesglut" which is german (I am a german playing on german servers, that's why!) and means "Iceblaze". Sounds cool, fits the RP-realm rules: Perfect!

Don't get me wrong, I'm not telling you how to choose a name. It's your decision.
But don't be pissed off when you meet someone who is offended by your name and, let's be honest here, has a GM agreeing means that the name is something Blizzard didn't want on their servers, right?

1) We're not a RP server.
2) HP was a name that yes, was a play on words, and was not meant to be taken as inappropriate.
Only a prude or someone too immature to play the game would have taken it out of context. We never made it inappropriate, other people do.
3) We never lost sincerity or anything at all. We gained a lot of raiding guild friendships, lots of members and the family that has become our guild. Losing the name that brought us together put a strain on the guild.
4) There is nothing about our name that broke any rules. Even in the emails when I was disputing the name change, they were unable to pinpoint exactly which naming rule we had violated. I don't believe our name broke any rules, hence why I disputed it.
I understand this game is played by people of all ages, but I think it's unfair for Blizzard to have things like Thralls Balls, Bro's Before Ho Ho Ho's or a slutty zeppeling master who tells male players she can show them a real jungle cat in a steamy area. Please spare me the idea that our name was too explicit for a 12 year old.
Any child on the internet has seen FAR worse than a name on a video game.
Need I mention the Cherry Poppin' Grandpas guild on our server?

I'm only replying because I did make this thread, and also, I asked for name ideas. Not to be ridiculed or broken down about the fact that you think my previous guild name was inappropriate. Thanks.
