Dunno if I would tame them, but sure, but them make them NEW pets in that case! Do not change ppls beloved pets more than you have, please? I would not be happy to have my Humar changed one day, that I have had for years. If I would want the new lion, I can just go and tame/hunt for it.
Yikes, yes. I would be very upset if I logged in and my Humar or Echeyakee had been changed to a Sambas model. I imagine owners of Rak'Shiri weren't very impressed to see their lovely aqua colored saber turned to a plain white saber. I had a fit when my Scarlet Tracking Hound had been changed into one of those ugly mastiff dogs.. I was too impatient to wait for Cataclysm to go live to get my Grim back and went and camped Slaverjaw. Had a wait a few days x.x
the spirit of the north. borean tundra. tameable, rare, spirit beast that flies. also for the love of everything that is holy in the world, make it float at shoulder height and not awkwardly at waist height. people have been requesting a flying spirit beast, and we already have one! it just needs a database tweak or two to make it tameable!
i abandoned my seagull when he stopped flying high.

Well no I dont want people to lose there pets tamed years ago, but maybe change Sian-Rotam/Echeyakee ID#'s to match and make Sian's re-appearence be the new White Sambas ID. Same with Humar/Pitch and make the current Pitch be the Black Sambas ID.
Bada Boom Bada Bing all is good and everyone is happy!

That is a brilliant idea! It would solve anything, and make Sian come back again, which I think some allies are gonne be happy about. And to be honest, I don't think that many hunters would be sad to have Pitch changed to New shiny lion (in the wild), but to change an old world rare, that's just not right in that sense. He is supposed to look like that

And how is "all good" and "everyone is happy," hrm? I happen to like Sian-Rotam having a different appearance from my Sambas. This would still be making a fundamental change in the appearance of a long-term pet. And last I checked, having specifically asked on the matter, the fact that Sian-Rotam isn't showing is currently due to a glitch or bug.
That being said. I wouldn't mind seeing a white or black version of the Sambas frame - on new mobs. No more changing hunters' old friends just because you can if you please, Blizzard. I'm already punting that night elf starter pet I got stuck with during the Shattering come patch as it is. I don't want to have to cut loose anyone else.
I think (atleast that's how I interpret it) what Krondor mean is that the old Sians keeps their look, but when s/he appears again, it will be with the new model and a new ID. Well, that's what I want atleast, if it would even happen.
Edit:
Lol, ofcourse a lion with a mane is a he, but you never know with us petopians, that why I wrote s/he

Exactly! Make Sian's(current) ID# match Echeyakee's, that way everyone with either pet will have the same old school look. Make Sian's new ID when the re-introduce it or fix the "bug" to look like the white Sambas model. You keep your old look and we also get the new look. Then just make Pitch the new black Sambas model. Want the old Pitch model? Go camp Humar like the rest of us did before Wrath.

Thinking about it more if they were to make a white/black version of Sambas' skin it'd be smart to make it rare. I'd see it becoming very, very popular and a lot of Hunters may kick themselves for waiting however long for Sambas when they could have had this neat black/white version so much easier.
A simple request/suggestion for a possible future patch (since we're getting all kinds of other awesome skins, too!) - please put in at least one tamable version of this solid white demon hound:
Yeah, I tried to tame one from Karazhan, but ghostly pets just don't really appeal to me for the most part (there are maybe two exceptions for me). So, if you or your happy hunter-loving friends could, please, put in a tamable solid white demon hound.
Thank you very much!
(Oh and I'm still /cheering at The Evalcharr, that may become my next camp! Hehe, big thanks! )

Out wit the old in with the new. High polygon count rules
It would require no extra camping and I would get two new awesome pets with superior models.
The thing is, others wouldn't. I'd be livid if I logged on to my Humar being changed. It was the same with the change to Rak'Shiri. To hell with a white striped tiger, I wanted my aqua to stay the same!

I would love a rare wolf in Hyjal (really it doesn't matter where, but I thought it made most sense with Goldrinn and all). Yeah I know we have Karoma, but that's a spirit beast. I would like a wolf with a new model like Sambas and Maddex with brown and green fur with glowing emerald eyes.
In regards to the black/white Sambas models. Just make them common to twilight highlands, common spawns. Just like how they are doing with the current brown/blue Madexx colors.
I do not have Humar currently, but I know enough people have that pet and wouldn't be happy that he just up and changed. I talked to many of them after the big change and they were all thanking whatever gods that theirs wasn't changed.
On topic, I would love to see a new wolf with a good model like Madexx and Sambas added. Something that looks like a real wolf (Arctic wolves are very nice) And a bear... totally need an updated model of bear.
seriously make gyreworms tameable! iv been wanting them since i saw the model on MMO champion and theres no real reason they shouldnt be tameable since they are still beasts and they are no different than shale spiders in terms of their appearance

Maybe make the Shale Spider pet family into the Shale Beast family and add gyreworms to that. It would still be an exotic tenacity pet, after all.
AKA Nazthandol, in <Petopians> (US)
Cute doesn't need an explanation.

Of all the exsisting skins of creatures in wow, there are two that I would happily kill to get as hunter pets.
They are:
and
Just that color as tamable, not the saddle and such like the Shattered Hand Horde mount wolves, but those colors. We only see them as mounts, why not pets?

Unfortunately the art dept. didn't create "no saddle" versions of them like it did with most other saber appearances The flaxen is the only level 20 cat mount that doesn't have a no-saddle version and I don't think any of the three level 40 "swift" ones have no-saddle versions. I believe there's noway of just removing the saddle without getting their artists to generate a new skin. I have pestered our lurker dev. about it a bit
BTW, this info can be gleaned from using Wowmodelviewer to view all the skins in the database, if you're at all curious . You can see which have no-saddle versions.

Echoing the requests for hydras and gyreworms to be tameable families, and I was thinking about how few rhinos I see about as pets. I wanted to suggest rolling kodos, elekks, mammoths, and other big beasts into a single family along with rhinos.
