A Devilsaur Question
Do they spawn 1 color at a time now in Un'goro? Cause since 4.0.1, I've noticed only 1 at a time is ever up. I'm not sure if its just like that on my server but I remember a long time ago, you couldnt walk ten steps without bumping into the three devilsaurs.

Re: A Devilsaur Question
Hard to say.. With flying now in old world who knows how many times there being killed just for the heck of it.
Re: A Devilsaur Question
They path a really, really long ways still- it was incorrectly reported they were relocated to the place where the stegodons and dimetradons are. I've seen one wandering about there, but also near the raptors, I think. Aria said she saw one wandering around its usual path near the volcano. Up to 6 Saurs, I think, can be up at any given time [5 normal and Mosh if I remember right, not counting the queen], they just path like a third of the crater. Seriously.Taluwen wrote:Do they spawn 1 color at a time now in Un'goro? Cause since 4.0.1, I've noticed only 1 at a time is ever up. I've been flying around and have only seen the Orange so far. You'd think I'd run into the others.Ryai wrote:They path a really, really long ways still- it was incorrectly reported they were relocated to the place where the stegodons and dimetradons are. Re: A Devilsaur Question
Well, the devilsaurs all share a spawn point (or used to). So if they're all spawned as orange, and no one's been killing the orange... yeah.
Devilsaurs still don't get killed all *that* often. Smack one around and see if it respawns as a different color.

Re: A Devilsaur Question
I went out to re-tame my old black one from BC earlier this week. I kept seeing purple and orange ones but no black ones. After a while I decided to see if maybe killing one would re-spawn in the color I wanted. A couple of purple kills later the black one finally spawned.

Re: A Devilsaur Question
Pretty sure there isn't one spawn point. Or at least I've never found a way to connect the pats. I haven't seen anything diff'rent about devilsaur other than the fact that Blizz forgot to adjust their paths when they tweaked the zone around. The paths LOOK the same as they did before ... but I've seen the poor guys stomping along underwater or having trouble navigating that area in the northeast with the new trees.
Thanks to Pengupuff for the sig!
Re: A Devilsaur Question
I've almost definitely seen two up at once since 4.0.1. I went there a week or so ago to tame the white one to see if I liked it and found both the white and red ones up. I didn't actually see them both on screen at the same time but it was early morning and the zone was pretty dead so I don't think it likely that the red was killed in the minute or so between seeing him and finding the white.
When I first tamed a devilsaur a while earlier I found the black a few minutes before I found the red, which was the one I wanted. Again, it was very quiet and I don't think anyone killed the black before I happened upon the red.

Re: A Devilsaur Question
For something so large Devilsaurs are rather sneaky. Whenever I go looking for them, it is hard to find them. Of course when I'm not looking for them they show up all the time and stomp me. :/

Re: A Devilsaur Question
Yeah. Trying to find them for making devilsaur leather clothing, it took hours to get enough because of their ninja'ness. But try and do some leveling in the area, and you're getting chased and/or ganked every ten minutes!

Re: A Devilsaur Question
They're all about. I can generally see at least four of them wandering around at any given time trying to step on me. This is both in the air and grounded...
Of course I'm the one who had Mosh spawn infront of me when Mits was Level 56 SIGH.

My main's a Druid so I of course love critters. That counts for something right? Right?

Exactly. The black one spawned but a derpy warlock didnt move and his lvl 85 derpguard killed it before I got there. ><;Kurasu wrote:Yeah. Re: A Devilsaur Question
I can confirm that more than one can be up, saw a Tyrant Devilsaur and an Ironhide Devilsaur walk past each other Not sure how many can be up at a time, but there are at least four paths that Devilsaurs patrol (up and down past Terror Run, across the top of the silithid area, up and down the eastern side of the crater, and across the bottom of the tar pits). The paths are long and the dinos move quick, so you'll have to search for them.
Re: A Devilsaur Question
You know I was wondering the same things tonight. I took a trip to Un'goro to grab a black devilsaur. I saw the purple and red up at various locations, and after flying all over the place for a while I decided to kill them and see if I could get a black to spawn... an hour later I had seen maybe three respawns and none were black. I don't remember them having such slow respawn rates.

Re: A Devilsaur Question
Me neither. D: Hell I've been flying around for the last hour now and NO Devilsaurs are up.
Re: A Devilsaur Question
I have seen multiple devilsaurs of different kinds up at the same time.
I guess luck has allot to do with it.
