NPCSCAN
NPCSCAN
I am trying to find Aotona and Loq and I have a few questions about npcscan..
1..When using npcscan, does it scan the whole zone or just the area I am flying in atm?(circle on minimap)
If its the whole zone and when npcscan goes off and I click on the target to get the green icon, does that icon
show on the mini or world map so I can see where the target is? (Did the test sound for this to happen)
2...Did the spawn rate changed with Cata? I have been in the basin all times during the day and nite and I
never find Aotona or Loq...or even KK. I read that spawn rates were from 3-6 hours respectfully and I have been
in the basin more than 8 hours at a time and nothing.
3...anyone have a recent timeline for when Aotona was found/tamed or killed?
Thanks for any info

Re: NPCSCAN
NPCscan can only pick up a creature that is within your sight range, it cannot search through the entire zone, just in an area around your character. When you click on the target you will know it is somewhere near you, and you can put a raid icon on it to help, but no it cannot place an icon on your map or anything to show exactly where it is. Think of NPCscan as a glorified target macro with an alert.
I don't think the spawn rates have changed for Northrend rares. They are usually 6-12 hours commonly. Definitely not 3 hours though, 6 at bare minimum I'd say.

Re: NPCSCAN
Basically what Veph said.
Loque/Aotona/Krush are definitely ATLEAST 6 hours. Sometimes as long as 24 hours.

Re: NPCSCAN
Definitely still spawning. Hubby picked up Aotona last week when she spawned right on our warrior/lock team doing the lead ins to Oracles. Switched, popped wormhole and raced down, tamed.
Sig and av by the very talented Kurenio!
Re: NPCSCAN
Yha and of the 3 Aotona is the least likely to be killed.
1. She hangs out in areas of low traffic
2. She looks less "Uber Leet" then Loque, or the giant green target Krush

Re: NPCSCAN
care to mention which low traffic area aotona spawns the most?
Also Loq's favorite spot?
Aotonas spawns spots are fairly easy to patrol but Loqs are so far apart.
How do I paste a macro in game? If I find a macro I like and copy it..dont know what I need to do to paste
it in the macro window in game.

Re: NPCSCAN
The rares do not favor one spot for another. There spawn is random within there spawn locations. For macro copying using Ctrl V should paste what you have copied.
