Mount Acomplishment Thread

I've been pretty lucky in my Wow mount career.

Won the roll on the Headless Horsemen's mount back in 2008.
Got the Raven Lord fairly quickly, after about 30 runs. Thanks to Ashu for lending me his Druid!
Got the Zulian Tiger on my main and alt on the same day... was epic.
Got the White Chocobo on my first Kael kill.
Got the Amani War Bear two days before 3.0 hit (when they took it out). Feel very very lucky with that, because I wanted it so badly. Thanks to my guild for making the run!
Have three Green Proto Drakes on the same character, the last two are sitting in the bank.

But one mount always eludes me... Baron Rivendare's Death Charger! Nearly 200 kills and I've never seen it. I even got the his Runeblade, but no Horsey... maybe one day.

I lucked out yesterday, and got Mounts #87 and 88 for my collection! Just 12 more to go now!

First, I FINALLY got the Reins of the White Polar Bear! With this mount and Skoll, I never have to go to the Storm Peaks ever again! (except maybe on the occasional TLPD hunt)



After that, I was checking my reps, and I realized I was halfway to exalted with the Cenerian Expedition. Cerah had already done all the quests for them (including the ones in Blades Edge and the Borean Tundra), so I spent the next few hours doing the heroic Coilfang dungeons, one after another, and then the Steamvault on regular 2 times. After that, was happy to buy my first hippogryph mount!



Now, I'm wondering what to do to get my last 12 mounts, besides grinding rep for Bilgewater and Uldun, and trying some of the easier 5-mans for rare drops (I am not getting used to Stratholm being a lvl 40 dungeon!). Here's my list at Warcraft Mounts:

After what seemed like forever, Aeonaxx finally spawned- right on top of me! I got my beloved Phosphorescent Stone Drake, whom I've been camping diligently as hardcore as I could between work and moving. I'm glad it didn't take over a year like my TLPD, but my ridiculous camping escapades made sure that wouldn't be the case this time. I'm a happy... camper (well not camper anymore... for now...)!!

Yesterday, after like 2 years of farming, Attuman finally decided to give up the reigns of Midnight to me! It was pretty shocking and exciting to see the icon in the loot window after so many letdowns and false hopes each week. In the weeks prior I had gotten the Spectral Steed and the Gray Camel from the first figurine I'd seen- even after all the time in Uldum (but still no red Madexx :/). Skadi needs to give up Grauf, he's enslaved the drake for long enough. lol

Congrats! I'm at 88 mounts currently, and only one darn acheivement away from the Red Proto Drake. I dislike Violet Hold and the RNG involved with seeing certain bosses

Aw you're getting there! I agree that it's annoying with the RNG achievements. I hope you get that one you need asap! They need to add a new mount achievement already lol. I would love the original model of Netherdrake with the sparklies I posted one time ages ago. Or... the Spectral Gryphon from graveyards... would love that... OR- an Emberwyrm. Would fit well with Cata theme. *drools*

RIGHT?! I keep saying, that mo-fo loves the pain LOL- I used to say that about Attuman also! It's like dude, been coming here for what seems like forever, look at the other mount dropping bosses and what we did to THEM until they finally gave in! Just make it easy on yourself and drop it now! Hahaha oh man. Thanks so much for the congrats, it's a huge weight off of my back to not feel the nagging NEED to be in a certain zone (because I'm TOTALLY not in Uldum lost of the time in a day atm... of course not...). I hope yours come to you easily, we deserve it after all the camping for pets we do!

Well after this, I decided I should lvl some Ach this w/e to try and get my bug mount, and my npcscanner went off.....

Omgomgomg, I've never seen one of these before and I was frantically flying around trying to find the bugger. I finally got to it and clicked..... dust -_-

But after you posting this I was thinking "omg, no way lol!" Hahaha, but yeah, The rush of it all will keep me back on it thats for sure

After a long, hard grind (especially since we never, ever have TB on my server -_-) I finally got the Drake of the west wind

Granted my hunter is technically my 6th class to be considered my "main" She is my final Main character who is up to a whopping 91 mounts!

Finally got my Dark Phoenix mount last night. Been sick as a dog lately, but i still got on yesterday and ground heroics a good while. After raid, i was about 300 rep away, so i did some dailies, and BAM! Exalted with my guild. I'll get a screeny up here in a few. lol

I decided today I needed to get back to doing my argent dailies, since I'm up at 93 mounts. On a whim I decide to engineer-warp to storm peaks and cruise around there first, maybe find a Skoll to rehome. I find nothing, and am turning to leave to go and get my dailies out of the way, and...

Ah grats! You have to be exhaulted to buy the Dark Phoenix? that would make sense at least.

It's only unlocked after your guild has cleared all current raid content and earned the guild achieve "Guild Glory of the Cataclysm Raider". Then anyone who is exalted with the guild can buy it.

Ungoggy that mount is beautiful! A lot more transparent than I thought it would be though. I like it betta that way!~

Well, you are limited to a cap of 3500 rep a week, so i just made sure i was capped every week, except for maybe the first 2 weeks, when i was more worried about leveling and getting gear then worried about rep.
