tanking build
Need some help with a good tanking build for my lvl 80 bear. I am a Lvl 80 Night Elf hunter Marks Spec and have a new bear for tanking and have some issues with a good build, most of my pets are DPS pets.

Re: tanking build
Well in my honest opinion i never really found a use for bears in anything. I know they're not very good for raiding, but i don't know about PvP..
I guess it's what you're into: PvP? Or Raiding? At first I thought bears were only for leveling (or any other tank-like pet; boars.. etc).
But, you can always check the forums on Worldofwarcraft.com or go to wowwiki.com (I think I spelled that right.. x_x) for any info on tanking pets.
Sorry I'm not a ton of help on this subject of pet-tanking :/ if anyone else has better/more helpful info please correct me lol (: or respond, i'm curious about tanking specs as well. ♥

Re: tanking build
This will probly be your best bet for info on tankin pet, but from what i know you pretty much stay to the right side of the pet tree for spec, for more stam, armor, dodge, and reduced dmg. And depending on how serious you are and what you plan on tanking you might want to have a 2nd spec with BM, it will help alot, especially with talents like, Catlike Reflexes, Spirit Bond. Stack stamia, since Silver Back heal your pet based on a percentage of its health, more health, bigger heal.

Edit* found the one with the pet tank build. If you end up having problems with threat, maybe a point or two in guard dog, but with FD, and just stoping dps for a sec or to it shouldnt be hard to keep threat low.

Re: tanking build
i use a wolf for raiding and I also have my fav cat "had from day one" what I am using the bear for is while running solo grinding skins or meat, I send him in grab around ten or so mobs and AOE them down. If I pull agro of him one F-death and they go right back and are dead in a few secs.Vecksykins wrote:Well in my honest opinion i never really found a use for bears in anything.
