Which pet family is your weakness?

For me it's definitely carrion birds. I had three, managed to part with my Lord Condar, and am back down to two... but after the new patch goes live I'll have three again. >.<

One of my favorite pets is a carrion bird; Vultros:

I'm never parting with him. I've had him for so long.
Damn it, I don't need three of the same family.

I have like 4 "birds" and I don't even use them.

And every Spirit Beast... but who doesn't have them all?

Haha, surprisingly I don't have many repeating families on Veph. I do have a couple doubles, but nothing that necessarily qualifies as an obsession. I have two boars (Undead/Black Felboar) and two corehounds (The Beast/Chromaggus). I am soon to have two wind serpents as well when the patch goes through because I have to have that new black Outland version.

I think my two major weaknesses would be Crocolisks and Spiders though.

Since I don't have room on Vephriel to indulge my favourites, I simply do so on other characters.

My troll, Gazini, has become my Croc-Hunter. I realized she had a lot of leftover stable slots even after I tamed everything I wanted for her, and I couldn't let it go to waste. ;D I'm not only grabbing at least one of every crocolisk model for her, I'm taming all of the Named/Rare crocs, even if I end up with multiple of the exact same skin. They each have their own separate identity.

Then I made an entire character dedicated to Spiders and owning every single model. My undead hunter...named Spiders.

I probably should change that to "...but who doesn't want most of them?"

Some people don't like certain ones.

There has yet to be a Spirit Beast that holds my attention (I've owned and released all of them), though I do have Gondria at the moment once again since I wanted a Spirit Beast for its utilities. Still, I'm waiting for the day when a new one will show up that finally calls to me. ^^ (reptile SB ftw!)

Oh where to begin, where to begin!

Like Vephriel, I love spiders and crocolisks as well, but have managed to get the amounts down to a manageable size, thanks mainly due to all the new hunters I've created with purely pet hoarding in mind.

Also, like many here I'm sure, I have a thing for the cats, and am intensely bothered that I don't have space for all the skins I want. Wolves too, particularly the old worg model, I need to get all colours of them.

Warpies are another, only the blue-green skin leaves me cold. All others have been assigned owners, and I am particularly fond of the red, and black (of course) skins.

Foxes. Definitely foxes. When I saw that they'd become a new pet, I squealed like a little girl, and received oddlooks from both husband and younger brother, who don't understand my pet obsession at all. Still, I have one of these assigned to different hunters as well. I had the black and white ones on Lazuli, my Goblin, but after much grief gave up on the black one, and will tame it again on someone else later.

But, I find that my greatest passion in this game is birds. I don't know what it is about them, but I just click with virtually all models. Tallstriders, carrion birds (especially the condors, my first ever pet to hit 80), owls (my favourite model, though they sadly have less personality than others), eagles, seagulls, hawks...you name it, I probably love it.

And in terms of spirit beasts, I don't know. I only ever tamed Gondria, but let her go on Mozag, since she is primarily MM, and it would have been a waste to keep her in my stables as a simple vanity pet (also, she didn't fit Moz's "theme"). I hope I manage to level some more BM eventually to try out all of the spirit beasts, but only Ghostcrawler has really got me excited so far (*shakes fist angrily at brother for stalling the leveling progress of her BM Goblin*).

For me... It seems to be cats and wolves that tend to catch my attention. If you look at my stable, you'll see the only two (well three actually) families I have multiples of are cats and wolves. I'm quite big on mammals irl, mainly cats and dogs with Wolves and Snow Leopards being my two favorite animals. You'll also notice I have... all the Spirit Beasts. Some of them may be poofing unless I get more stable space (I know Loque, Skoll and Karoma are always staying; Ghostcrawler is a hit or miss... Gondria and Arcturis are at risk of being dropped if I need space), although I think this was my Pokemon mentality right there. You'll also notice the lack of exotic pets, save the Spirit Beasts and the one lonely Devilsaur.

Cat family for me but just the sabers and the new lion(s?). This little fella I have had for years and is my favorite.

I have picked up 2 3 ...screw it! (~1 hour later)

I have all 8 now!

I like all the spirit beasts also but... all except Loq are basically "collector pets" for me.

Right now, I seem to have a bit of a spirit beast addiction. I had tried them before, but never quite clicked how I would like. However, since race changing one hunter to a troll, the spirit beasts work. I consider them embodiments of the energy of nature. For me, with a troll, this works beautifully. Grushdeva is the proud companion of all the spirit beasts: Tooru - Skoll, Ashe - Arcturis, Circle - Loque, Umbra - GC, Kyama - Karoma and Neshama - Gondria.

Cats! I'm making a third Hunter to be my Crazy Cat Character because I don't have any room on my main and my secondary has a spirit/see-through theme going on.

All in all, I LOVE me some cats. There are so many skins to choose from!

Definately cats and birds of prey. The birds make sense but cats? I'm definately not a cat person outside of the game. A friend of mine has a couple of cats and they seem to know I can't stand them because whenever I'm at her place, the cats become like extra limbs. Gah.

But WoW kittys are so pretty.

Don't like the carrion birds much. They just seem... wrong somehow. But birds are a centre point of my life. Apparently my first pet bird was a christmas tree decoration and I was devestated when it finally fell appart. I don't remember that but enough relatives do and they get a good kick out of telling the story.

Cats, by far and away... I have tried to limit myself to 6. I have currently the ghost saber, Rak'shiri that I tamed way back in vanilla, Duskfang, Duskstalker, Humar and I'm saving a spot for Sambas. Never in a million years when they announced 20 stable slots + 5 would I have thought that I'd have trouble with stable space...

Wolves wolves wolves!

Well, actually, I have many spirit beasts (mostly because I think they're gorgeous to look at, and so hard to find that I can't bring myself to abandon--in fact, the only one I don't have is Ghostcrawler, and I haven't bothered looking for him)... But really, my weakness is wolves.

I have Snarler, OCJ, the Ramparts wolf, a white worg, and the minute the next patch hits I'll be choosing something to release (yes, full stable lol.) for the brown worg that is Deathmaw. I really really want stable space for a gray worg, too. And the only reason I have Skoll & Karoma are because I utterly love their wolfy appearances

If a color-changing old-world worg that swapped between all colors was ever introduced, I'd instantly free up several stable slots

I just love looking at those worgs

Oh jeeze, I dunno. I like all of them!
I admit I have quite a few saber cats, but mostly just for fun.
Not really spirit beasts... I have three of them, Loque, Ghostcrawler and Karoma, but I only use Karoma and Ghostcrawler.
Devilsuars, maybe, because I have two of those I use fairly often?
Or wolves. I have three wolves that I refuse to release, a tan coyote, a OCJ and an oily black wolf.

For Tahlian, it's cats. Which is why I'm so sad the pure white frostsaber skin hasn't yet put in an appearance on the PTR.

Shy-Rotam, Winna's Cat, the Tamed Tol'vir Prowler, Sambas, Sian-Rotam, Duskfang...and Loque'nahak, who isn't technically a cat but is a really close kissing cousin.
