Logged in today before work... another Black Madexx was standing there waving hi to me.

Did a quick /who and oddly enough no hunters that were 84 or 85, so I looked in the guild... the only other person that had tamed Madexx wasn't online and she told me last night she had the two she wanted...

I only had 10min left to leave for work so I did the one of the two things I figured I could do... I could either tame it and then let it go... or kill it. I NEEDED to get a time to come back to look after work... and not knowing if the respawn time mattered if it was tamed or killed....

Most of you wouldn't like the outcome. I hope that teaches the other Madexx's to quit messing with me...

I feel bad... just a little... but it did feel good to get a little revenge for him making me camp him so much.

Can you imagine the competition if we could tame then like shrink(Ultima Online) pets and sell/trade them?

I've never played Ultima Online, so don't actually know what it would be like. But selling/trading pets does always sound bad. I bet it would turn ugly, so I see what you mean. I was just joking however, and I hope that Pent manages to fall as in love with his black Madexx, as Rhyela did.

UO had its pleasures, but I don't think this was one of them. Imagine seeing the same guild/person monopolize a rare critter and only sell it for 30k (or on UO, several millions..), or worse yet- killing it so their's are the only ones around. It was nice when you didn't want to camp something and had the cash, but otherwise it was stinky.

One thing I would never ever do is kill a rare spawn that can be tamed even if at the time no one was on in open chat that could tame I would leave it for a hunter that just might happen to log on who may be after the particular color for even if it is a drab ugly color to one person it could be beautiful to the next. It was like the other day I was doin my regular daily sweep for king krush an I see loque so I ask in open chat if anyone wants loque he is here some whispers an ask where I send invite am realize it's a pally an he says do you mind if I kill it fo achivement they are after an I replied yes I definately mind and how much time I spent tryin to find loque an the many hour I put in tryin to find him an how many hunter want him so badly an he agreed not to kill loque shortly After this conversation an undead swooped down an tamed him as I cheered him for his new found find he imediatly broke into. Dance an sent a hug and. thankyou! If he had killed it the poor undead hunter would have came just after the kill with a broken heart full of disbelief an disappointment!

First off... what? How many words can be in one sentence?

Secondly, do you play on the Angel server, because most servers I know of wouldn't keep a rare alive... so "leaving" it is not very smart for a couple of reasons... You don't know when it will be killed/tamed so you have no idea when you can look for it again, and just because you were nice doesn't mean that rogue or paladin that comes along in 20sec will be so nice.

I was going to work... had about 5min before I needed to get out the door... I wanted to know the death/tame time so I knew when I could look when I got home... and no one was on that was in the area that would come and get it... no reason for me to tame the same color I already had... I did the only thing I felt comfortable with doing...

I had to put it down.

~Also if you ask around in General, and in Guild, and go as far as wispering random hunters even too and no one responds, might as well to get the timer down.

I killed a Skoll once in order to get another Rare to spawn (maximum spawn theory) while I was hunting TLPD, and about 20 minutes later TLPD was the next Rare to spawn (to my enjoyment). It has its benefits if there is no other's around to tame.

Heh, I don't think we were too hard on the fellow. We both got the gist of what he was saying... it just took me some time to read it... and then read it again to make sure what I thought I read the first time was correct.

...and now I see his post right above yours where it looks like he intentionally spaced the rest of the sentence onto the second line.

I am english, and I have always lived in the US... I have taken two years of Russian in High School and the eqivalent of what turns out to be 3 semesters of French in college... this was 15-20 years ago and the only thing I remember is how to say "go to hell" in Russian, and "beer" and "wine" in French. (I actually remember a little more French... but I would have to read it or have someone talk to me in the language... I could pick up what was said, but I couldn't for the life of me carry on a conversation.

Oh... and in regards to English... I can't write it well either. Commas and semicolons will always throw me off... that is why I always tend to use "..."s because I have no clue what is needed...

Could have tamed him again in Black.He was only trying to be friendly.If I find a rare I already have and I can't find a hunter that wants it,I'd tame it anyway.Set the stopwatch and then release the cloned pet.I've given away over 20 Madexx Scorpions to grateful Hunters.Green,however still eludes me. (Damned Alliance jerk Hunter killing the only live Green Madexx I've seen..when I was mid tame).

I am still in Uldum... been here since 12/18... wanting green...
Tamed a brown around 12/29...
Then I tamed a Black Madexx two days ago (20th)...
The next spawn was 5h30m later... brown.... it went to another hunter.
Missed the next spawn more than likely...
Next spawn at 11:40am (21st)... another black... I did a search and no level appropiate levels in area, and no one in guild... I had to leave for work REALLY soon so I killed him to get a kill time.
Then today... I log on... do a few circles... and BAM... brown spawns... I whispered a hunter that I saw that was camping him... no response... so I invited him to a party... party invite declined... so I got pissed and tamed me another brown.

Can I get a shot at another color, Madexx? I mean... really?

I am getting really lucky at logging in at the right times... or something is up.
