Which pet family is your weakness?

I just got my third spirit beast no longer ago than 10 min. Snuck up on me like the other two. Questing on an alt, see it, grimace, then frantically get on hunter. However, as far as game play goes I'm not a big fan of using them. They are mostly a badge of beauty for myself. I find I like the thrill of the hunt and being lucky enough to find some of the rares I've found to be more exciting than actually using it.

I know this thread is about families of beasts persay, but I would like to say rather than being atatched to a specific animal I am more atatched to skins of a certain time frame. I've found that older, not neccessarily unique pets are my most frequent companions.

Humar the pridelord will always be my constant cat companion. Shy-rotam is the whole reason I made a hunter and will always either be with me or in my stables. I never finished the quest just in case one day I might have to find her again.

Ironjaw will always be my constant wolf companion. I don't even want to think about taming another wolf.

I miss my old pink and purple terrokar owl. I miss hearing melee complain about him screeching their ears off in raids ^_^ Although I think to sate that indulgence I will be adding a monkey to my stables soon

I will say though as far as newer classes of pets, I love the shale spider. I have 2, and even though they only have 1 ability unlike their beast mastery only compatriots, if I'm going out into the open world you can be sure one will be with me. Amazing.

Blizzard has no doubt put out some amazing beasts, with lots of families having many beautiful skins but there will always be that one or few that wiggles its way into your heart regardless of what it is or what it looks like.

Cats. Definately cats. I made a hunter to have cat pets actually. Right now I have three + Loque, but if I could I would probably get new Rak aswell, because I love black/white IRL.
The ones I do have though is a snow leopard, since that was my very first pet (even tamed the same one in Dun Morogh), Humar and Shango, so I do have one of each model (except Sambas, he's not an option for me) and I can live with that. As I said, I would probably get more if I could, but you need some versatility aswell

After that the only family I have more than one of is Spirit beasts. I mostly use Loque since I fell in love the moment I saw the model here (didn't even know what or when he would be in-game, just knew I had to have him) and the other one being Skoll. And even if, say I would never use him I would never let him go, since I tamed him on the 30th wedding anniversary of my parents and thus has more value to me.

Most of my pets are ferocity or cunning but my favorites are the raptors and wind serpents. Both these are my longest pets ever. All of my characters have one.

Spirit Beasts and Cats. MY bigger hunter has all of the Spirit beasts and I think 4 or 5 cats?

My littlest hunter has 6 cats I think right now... LOL

Cats. If any of you knew me in BC, you'd be rofl'ing. HATED cats deeply. I was forced into having one, named it something like HateThisPet. As soon as I left that guild, I dumped the piece of garbage and went back to my pink tallstrider, who is the love of my life.

Now I have 4 (5 with Gondria) cats and I want more, but am out of stable slots =(

my main hunter has 3 kitties + 2 (sb kitty) atm (sambas /shy/pridewatcher)(gondria loqu) i want moar but ran out of room needing utility pets for raiding plus so many other cool out there and all the Sb's (willing to trade out a sb poss skoll or acruis if moar kittys come)
hunter number 2 has one full page of cats (winnys, shadowclaw, duskstalke,r shango, rakshir,i siam, humar, duskfang, red lynx, Ghostsaber) plus the 2 spirit kitties and it s not enuff >.<
have third hunter baby (lvl11) just started hord undead who already has the rake will probably go for all 3 lions and then ....

Pets I am currently enjoying..

Love my seagall, something darn cool about him buzzing around with his mobility talent, screeching (sounds different than other birds of prey). He is also pretty darn small, a little bigger than a non-combat pet and hard to target in pvp especially bgs.

Foxes. I obsess over foxes. My nickname is translated to 'Fox' same as my bf, ive caught foxes of our fav colors in WoW and named them after us-- i also own ashtail and a brown fox. I have befriended tamed foxes in RL (they were movie star animals ), i draw them, i make many different pieces of art with them as the centerpiece in diff kinds of mediums. I make fox tails out of wool lol. I have stuffed toy foxes, i would KILL for fuzzy blankets that have foxes on them (i got a wolf and a tiger one right now)

I have FOX HATS (just regular fleece hats i bought/ordered that got fox ears and i plan on buying more in other colors and i plan to buy matching tails from same online anime store

I own all the Spirit Beasts, yet they're not the family that is my weakness. My weakness is: Bugs (not one family in particular, but any Insect like pet, including worms)

I have Beetles, Spiders, Scorpids, Worms, Silithids, Wasps, Shale Spiders. If it's creepy and it's crawly (or creepy and it flies, lol), I MUST HAVE IT!

I really wish I could create a title in game and be: Ikutai, Lord of Insects

Heh ok I have to answer this one.

My main has a wide variety of pets with almost no double BUT ..Humar (which I have had since level 23 so very long ago) and Shango. My Purple Croc is probably my favorite pet though.

But I have 8 hunters so that i can actually indulge my pet obsession. Every hunter has a different wolf, every hunter has a different cat, every hunter has a different croc, every hunter has a different worm, every hunter has a different bird, every hunter has a different beetle.

Some of my lower hunters have extra cats and wolves because 8 hunters was not enough to have all of the ones I like. I literally have every wolf in game including Skoll. Also have every rare cat in game including the Spirit Beast ones plus Shango (not a rare but very awesome). I also have every fox, every monkey and every corehound.

Oh, and if we ever got a Spirit Beast Spider (or Beetle), I'd be all over that like a fat kid on double chocolate cake with sprinkles.

I'm with you there. I told myself I would only have one spirit beast in my stable so I'd have room for a variety of other pets and I seldom use spirit beasts anyway... but now, via a string of coincidences, I'm up to three again. >.< They just sort of... accumulate, whether or not you want them to.

Tallstriders. I have one of each color.

I try not to double up on any other pet families. I have a hard time though with birds of prey when there is so many different looking bird of prey models, but I've been able to stick with just having my orange owl I've had since BC.
