Re: Undead Hunter Pets
Kind of off-topic, but Cerah, I had a red carrion bird named Scraps. I love the name!

Re: Undead Hunter Pets
My fox Scraps is named after Victor's (dead) dog in The Corpse Bride I just thought it suited a fox's bouncy personality, while also giving it the appropriate "creepy" vibe
Funny enough, both of my Forsaken toons have Tim Burton names as well. Lydeea is named after Lydia in Beetlejuice, while her adopted "mother", my warlock Emielee, is named after Emily, the Corpse Bride herself. I find that an approprately Forsaken-ish naming theme can make even the most innocent-looking pet a good match for an Undead hunter.

I would think the beetles would also be a good fit with and undead hunter. Beetles seem to like dead things, and they would add a little color to you character.

Re: Undead Hunter Pets
lol there are so many others i want to tame, I actually just joined the 2 hunters club....even though one is barely 24
I went with a worgen, both to experience their content, and because i wanted to start with a bulldog. His pets will be open to whatever sounds/looks good.

Re: Undead Hunter Pets
One other option as far as exotic pets goes would be a worm!Ognian wrote:I agree many of these would look awesome, but I am trying to go by more than looks alone. I am trying to maintain the theme of beasts that would "prefer" to work with an undead. Not a hardcore RP'er, but that was a central concept when I made the character
Thank goodness for Spirit Beasts, or my exotic talent (when I get there) would yield few options!
Btw, Kalhoun: A plagued pig is definitely in the cards. He's on the list along with the undead eagle, the white diseased bear, and more yet to be determined. And here I thought this would be easier than tracking down all the rares lol

Also, you should most definitely tame The Lone Hunter out near Darrowshire in the Eastern Plaguelands.

In addition to what's been mentioned already, I also always thought Sporewing fits into this category. He's also diseased in a way - withered and dying like everything else in the Dead Mire and driven crazy by the agony (which is why he's hostile unlike all other sporebats).

You also might look at the white Deviate Crocolisks in WC. Although technically mutants, not plagued, I think the white and sickly-yellow scales would suit nicely (plus they removed their incessant snorking, so that's a plus.)
There's a whitish/gray new-model croc too, in Silverpine, but I'm pretty sure it's only available as a color changer, so you'd be summoning/dismissing him until you got the right one. I THINK someone mentioned there's a named mob that's getting the gray-white skin too come the next patch, but I'm not sure which one. Something to think about though.

Re: Undead Hunter Pets
For my undead hunter I bagged a few deathly critters. Here's what I got.
Bayne the rare spawn in Tirisfal was my first tame. Me and Bayne have had quite a history before being able to catch him on my hunter.
Went with a bear next from Silverpine. I like their skin better than the ones in the starting area.
Got the mother spider in the mines in Silverpine also. I liked the purple cobweb theme from it.
Awhile after that I grabbed the bird from WPL quest and love that one quite possibly the most.
In Northrend I grabbed myself a worm. The one that is black and such in the cave in Dragonblight.
The last thing I grabbed was the wolf. I hadn't tamed one by the time I ended at 85 so I decided to grab one for the sake of having a wolf none the less.
I have been meaning to get a boar but I'm kinda out of room in my stables now so I have to decide what to drop. I don't have a bat either yet, still deciding on which one to go with.

Re: Undead Hunter Pets
Though the undead boar model is the obvious choice, I also think it might be interesting to use the white armored one:Xelophant82 wrote:I have been meaning to get a boar but I'm kinda out of room in my stables now so I have to decide what to drop.

The pale skin colour looks very diseased and sickly, and the bright red in the armor looks like blood seeping through, as if the boar was held together by pieces of metal.
Re: Undead Hunter Pets
I have surprisingly fallen for the skitterweb matriarch. She's, at least for the moment, replaced Bayne as my go-to pet. Bliz should start undead hunters with bone spiders, not widows...the look together is just brilliant.

Hehe, my undead hunter Spiders has the Skitterweb Matriarch as her favourite spider pet as well, named Arachne.Ognian wrote:I have surprisingly fallen for the skitterweb matriarch. Re: Undead Hunter Pets
My undead hunter also went for the Skitterweb matriarch, its really creepy how she's just hanging off the ceiling, spiders in wow would kinds freak me out if they ran up walls and such but that would be very cool
