Olm found on PTR (We can stop looking now!)

This was one of the two biggest wants of mine in the next patch, so I will certainly be parking my bigger hunter in that area to wait for the patch.

I logged into the PvP server just now and Olm was up flapping along the road in the upper part of his spawn area. I dismounted, saw that I had no pet out and I started to tame. Apparently there was lag that didn't make my pet show up right away or something bugged b/c halfway through the tame my wasp showed up beside me and one shot Olm =( I didn't even get time to mourn him as his body pretty much faded right away due to it being a pet kill. This happened at 5pm central time, I will keep checking back to see how long it takes him to re-spawn. His flying around right beside the road worries me though as this leaves him more exposed to being killed by a passerby. Was this an area he pathed before?

Yep. He had a few areas that he used to spawn, the one he's being seen in now being one of them. It used to be that he wasn't killed all that often because of being from CC, but now he'll likely be more of a target. Although maybe, with his ghostly-looking self, more people will avoid him and look for a hunter, thinking he's a spirit beast.

Not exactly sure how long his spawn timer is, but at 6:40, I went looking for him. Not up, and there was a level 57 warrior in the area; that may well have been what killed him. It's now 9:40. Still not up. So more than three hours for sure! Will check every hour and let you know.

Well I tamed Olm at around 1 40pm, checked every so often but not really much. But he did just spawn at 8 00 pm, so he may.. have a long spawn timer. It may be the usual 6-10 hours..

It might help everyone if we knew what PTR servers (and the servers' time zones) the people who are taming and/or seeing Olm are on...

We might be able to narrow down his approximate spawn time... give or take...

He's not a Spirit Beast, he's a Bird of Prey.

10:49 PM EST, Olm was spawned when I checked again. So there's a 4 hour timer (plus however long he'd been dead/tamed earlier).

This is on the European PvE PTR. I am taming him now, for those who want the timer. I doubt I'll be awake at 2AM to check in four more hours, but will try!
