i don't think you needed to call him a "ass"... that would probably encourage him to do that again to you later on (if circumstances arose). he said he didnt know it wouldn't drop anything and he did get to it first.

Name calling wasn't needed but after trying to find the guy for 2 weeks now and this being the first time npcscan/silverdragon dinged saying he was up I was upset. I let it get to my head and took it out on the poor guy that didnt look anything up lol. Yeah least I have a timer. hopefully he's back up at 1:30am again

Yeah i know how that goes sometimes. Now if you submit an apology screenshot to him I would then forgive you. No seriously I kid, happens to us all sometimes. People who haven't realized that tammable Cata-rares drop CRAP dont really pay attention much to the azeroth around them

I posted a comment on wowhead a bit ago (about Terrorpene) to alarm others that he doesnt drop anything: I'll go ahead and do that on others too I think.

We have too many things against us here in taming him...

A) rare appears in a spawn field for a quest everyone does that does uldum.
B) rare shows up as a rare spawn, and Blizzard has nurtured the Pinata reflex (ZOMG CANDY! KILL IT!)
C) rare is ideally placed in a well trafficed area where people are mining/herbing
D) Pet does not exist on my server. I'm convinced. Camping it. Logging in randomly. My full bag of tricks and nothing... I half expect this mob to have accidently fallen through the cracks and is now randomly queued to be fired out of a goblin railgun at some very unlucky wildhammer dwarf riding a gryphon.

And yeah, don't let it get to you. I've seen people think this rare drops a mount, it drops a blue/is for achieve and one person even said while I was camping that if they saw it he'd 'kill it just to take a screenshot of himself by its body for a trophy as I do with all rares'. Thanks, I'm glad to know that. I really hope you try that with Ghostcrawler. I really hope you do~ Yeah, I'm sure they have as much right to do that as I do to tame but c'mon. >:| Doing it to a much sought-after tamable when you KNOW peeps are out there to tame? Not so bueno. Not to mention the unholy long spawn times Northrend and Cata rares seem to have.

But yeah, Madexx is a tricky tame - much like the basin rares. People are stuck in the 'achievement/blue' mindset, the tear vendoring for 25g doesn't help and neither did MMO champ's post. Nor does it being node-alicious or quest-alicious. Yes, someone even told me I was lying to them because MMO-C had them listed with the rare bosses. Fantastic.
