Obligatory "Where are you, rare pets?" Magic Luck Thread

Huzzah! Mazzranache did spawn for me last night! I didn't realize how wide of a circle his spawn path takes. I may have even missed him previously because I didn't wander out far enough. But last night, I decided to widen my search area and sure enough, there he was with his babies in tow. Now to think of a name.....For some reason my brain is stuck on the name François, but isn't that a ridiculous name for a pink tallstrider?

I could call him "Frankie" for short..... <3

Thank you, Lord Condar for spawning for my Ethel. She was overjoyed to see you this morning, and has been proudly trailing you along all day. Sure, she may have sex-changed you, but Breeze is a rather nice name, isn't it?

Congrats! I love the carrion bird family, they're one of my favorites. And Breeze is a really pretty name, actually.

And you convinced me to name my guy François. I don't even know why I thought of it, but evidently that is meant to be his name.

1 week of camping and i finnaly got Skoll

! Still thinking for a name for him though, But i still want my favorite spirit beast Gondria

I have been searching for you for at least 6 days now and i still havn't seen you spawn (probably spawned while i was doing dungeons but gondria woudn't do that to me.....) An skoll has been looking for a playmate for a while cause he's getting bored of playing with loque and arctuis. So please come to me or i will tear down zul'drak looking for you.

Madexx, I do so enjoy your velvety red coloration, but wouldn't you like to join me in your sapphire blue too? I thought I would be content with one of my top two, but when my warrior saw you last night...I had to try to find you again. Arcturis... I know my grandmother accidentally killed you yesterday, and you're probably still sore about it. I promise she didn't mean to! She wanted you so, so much. Please spawn soon, because she doesn't quite grasp this whole camping thing, meaning I wound up agreeing to do it for her, and if I have to spend much longer stressing over finding a pet I already have that could potentially be tamed or killed before I can reach the person who doesn't, I might explode.

Man. This is the weirdest situation.

Jadefang... oh Jadefang... okay, I killed you twice for the pet, once for me and once for my boyfriend, and then said I didn't want you and tamed the lonely little yellow shale spider that sits at the start of the tunnels instead... he looked cute and lonely and people always squash him so I gave him a good home...

And then you spawned and it wasn't a day for the daily, and I suddenly wanted you, and I spent a full hour trying to get in your cave anyway to tame you (curse the Engineering belt tinker that never fails when I want it to!) only to watch somebody who'd saved the daily jump in and kill you.

And now I got the daily and I'm sat in your cave. Show up? Pretty please? I have pebbles for you to munch on.

Yeah, seconding the totally awesome gamer grandma. Though I know at least one blogs. And aww. I hope you get your Squee.

<3 Jadefang (She's one of the few pets who has a permanent spot in my 5 active. Can't get enough of DA SQUEE).

Sambas, pop in sometime! I got to give away a couple of Squees and a Ghostcrawler. Come join us?

My patience rewarded or perhaps this thread has shared some kind of luck that defies my belief?Perhaps, as i finished a pain staking long heroic i go to repair my gear only to begin the path to hunt yet again.It is while spamming my macro that my heart stopped if only for so long when i heard the script go off and illidian going "You are not prepared!'' I wasn't prepared that's for sure.I landed on the ground without a pet only to receive a "You already have a pet summoned".I feigned death scared another hunter would interfere with my hunt.I tried to revive a pet only to find out i didn't have one summoned at all.Silly blizzard and their glitches, once done i made sure to let the zone know they wouldn't be seeing my flying corpse anymore and i left.Anyway... I hope everyone gets as lucky as i have since with patience i have obtained every pet that i wanted to acquire... for now.

Holy baloney.

I had Jadefang cached from when I saw her yesterday, but didn't bother clearing cache. Wee hours of the morning, nobody around, no need to circle so I figured what's the point?

I sat in the cave for a bit, no Jadefang. Logged out, logged my goblin hunter, went to tame my pet for the random pet challenge. Tamed the random pet, gave it a test run, ended up not liking it enough and abandoning it.

Logged out, logged the main hunter back in, still no Jadefang.

Tabbed out and spent 15 minutes writing up a report for the random pet challenge. Finished it and posted it.

Tabbed back in TO FIND JADEFANG STARING ME IN THE FACE. Cue heart attack (and frantic taming, although nobody was around). Exactly one hour to the minute from when I last posted in this thread.

Squeeeeeeeeeeeee!

This makes up for the godawful Karoma camp I had. Thanks, thread.

Now to figure out what to name her. Although I'm really, really tempted to just name her Squee.

My yellow's named Scritch, but he's a he and Jadefang's a she.

And now I'm tempted to camp her a fourth time and get the minipet, so I have a daddy squee, mommy squee and baby squee family.

Thanks Sambas, you did indeed spawn for my friend and bring Madexx along in his green.

Now, maybe Mr Time-Lost Protodrake would like to come along and join the team ? It would be nice if I didn't have to keep killing your buddy Vyragosa but unfortunatly until you spawn that's what I'm gonna have to do.

Dear green Madexx, why are you hiding so hard from me? I know I should be happy with the red and bronze version of you, but somehow you got me hooked with your lovely colour and those striking orange eyes! I'm sorry I couldn't stop the black you from being killed, but I'm sure the second red and second bronze version I found and rehomed have a very good hunter pet life. So please do me a favour and turn up in green, so that I can stop circling the desert finally!

Well I didn't have any luck taming gondria last night so decied to go to bed and wait for tommorow. When i logged in i went to one of his spawn points and then my NPCscan went off and then i flew down and saw gondria walking around in the trees. I set my trap and i started to tame. now i have a awesome new gondria.

(I would have pictures but when i went to the picture folder they weren't there >.>)

Giving honor and reverence to the magical thread that makes rares appear, you have been gracious to me in times past, so once again I bring my supplication before you and submit it for your consideration.

I have been to every corner of this world, I have brought some of the most fierce and elusive creatures under my control... some thanks to this very thread.

It seems, though, that they pale in comparison to the challenge set before me: taming the elusive and destructive Ghostcrawler.

I will not be able to do this alone, I need the gift locked away in this thread. I have read others tales of fighting the creature, and of his merciless gaze, his unrelenting carnage. He barely stays visible in our world long enough to tame.

But he will be mine. By the might of this thread, and the crash of my will power against his, I will subdue this chaotic creature and name him Snugglefist! Or Ghostsqueeze! Or Littlespoon, I dont know, but he will be mine!

IT WILL HAPPEN... as long Kolorath doesnt gank me. and as this flower pickin' mage down here doesnt get froggy. and sweet mother, I hope GC doesnt have that 24 hour timer ><

UPDATE

The battle was fierce, the creature was not to happy to see me try to subdue him. He was chaos, he only knew disorder and disruption, and when my hand raised to him to bring him to my side, to bring him under control, oh he went insane! My tame cast is 9.6, started at max range, and i have 104,885 HP. i was ~50k by the time the 9.6 seconds was done.

This is where i found him, he was heading SOUTH, so counter clock wise. Thrall-US 9:01pm server.

How do some of you manage to even tame all the colors of Madexx, and here I am for a week in the desert and havent even seen his corpse?
