A List of Pet Locations Would Be Nice

One of the things I thought I'd find at Petopia and have been disappointed not to see, is information on where the beastie I want to tame lives. Would any one else like to see a listing, so they don't have to search google in hopes of finding the right info?

For example, I decided I wanted Uhk'loc. Just saying UnGoro crater isn't really helpful. It took a couple of searches for me to get the info on exactly where he was (somehow I'd never seen him, bad timing I guess) so I could do a little camping.

So much marvelous information is listed here (its always my first stop when I think pet) that it seems a shame that location isn't here as well.

Each tamable mob has a links page to wowhead on the right hand side that will show you where to find the beasts, so making redundant maps is unneeded, especially considering the time it would take Mania to do such a chore.

Beside each pet is a direct link to their information on Wowhead and Thottbot. Both those have a good spawn location map, and more specific information on where to find the various pets.

I was helping make something similar during beta, showing what skins were in what zones and approximate rare placements (of what was known in beta at the time anyway).

It starts simple enough, but it takes a lot of time... some zones more than others. Plus skins and such are changing next patch so a chunk of it would have to be redone. It was easy to get in over your head. I think I only got about half of Eastern Kingdoms done, and then they changed some more skins in one of the final beta patches.

However, I might start again once the rares get back in place. It wouldn't be a "click this mob, here's his spawn" sort of thing. Wowhead's got that covered.

As others have said the information you're seeking is there.

You can also add the NPC's ID to NPC Scan and it will search for you.

FYI Uhk'loc's NPC ID is 6585.

I apologize for asking a stupid question.

Unless you are more familiar than I am with WOW sites the icons at the right don't mean a lot and the link only says to search for more information on the pet. It is an excellent idea to have the link to the location right there -- I simply didn't recognize that this is what it is. This IS what I was thinking of and not reinventing the wheel and making something that takes hours. I'm sorry if my question implied that it did.

I did not expect to be flamed here. I don't know what I said that could have prompted someone to reply so harshly that their post had to be deleted. I'm glad I missed it.

Don't worry, I won't ask any more stupid questions here. I don't need this kind of abuse in my life.

there is no such thing as a stupid question, only stupid answers. it took me awhile to figure out that i could click the lil icons to go to the beasties wowhead page or whatnot, so dont feel like ur the only one lol.
