The Search for Skoll

All right me droogs, I've acquired the aspect of P. Dawg pet from the AH. I've made sure the cache is clear for NPCscan. I'm avoiding going to Dalaran so as to avoid having to re-clear the cache. I'm getting ready to start another serious hunting...this time for the big blue dog.

It was after much hemming-and-hawing that I decided to go after Gondria first. After taming her, I played with her a lot. And thanks to GIGGLE and his AWESOME POST, I decided to say goodbye to my PvE MM spec. That's right, if I run instances or raids, it's in BM. Or, my PvP Survival spec, but that just doesn't make much sense...

ANYWAY, that means that I really don't need the wolf anymore, who I got more or less just to compliment the MM. OR, I keep the wolf and ditch the Hyena (who isn't even lvl 80 yet). Either way, that's one more stable slot open...YAY BIG BLUE DOG!

So wish me luck, say some prayers to P. Dawg...

Good luck! At least there's only 3 spots to camp for.

I memorized a flying route going over all three in a circular loop. That or you can choose one spot to camp (the eastern point above the Village seems extremely popular for Skoll sightings, though I tamed my Skoll at the Snowdrift Plains location.)

You'll get him for sure! ^^ Hee, I also had my P. Dawg out while camping him.

EDIT: Oh yes, see if you can get chatting in General with some people. Chances are you're going to be spending a lot of time in the Storm Peaks, and if you just casually ask about Skoll sightings and mention that you're hoping to tame him, a lot of people who frequent the zone for mining and such will start to recognize your name. That happened with me. Since I was there for almost 9 hours straight, I had a few people start whispering me saying good luck and that they'd tell me if they saw him. I was noticeable since I was hovering over the same location pretty much the whole day, and was also posting in General Chat. It's good to have that impression and identity since a lot of players will empathize with you and help out should you need it.

Veph there are 4 spawn points

I've only heard of him spawning in 3 areas, so that's what I went by. Even WoWhead only has 3, and they're very reliable:

I think there was a rumored 4th location, but I haven't seen any proof, so you're probably fine with sticking to the 3. ^^

NPC Scan shows 4 spots for Skoll. One by the disk over Brunnhilda. One just north of Frosthold at the base of the mountain. Bors Breath I think. The last two are adjacent to each other further north and slightly west of the Bors Breath one. The 2 are close enough that people might consider it to be one area. I've been trying to find Skoll for weeks, and except for that one encounter when he was killed by someone while I was training him, I haven't seen him in the wild. I hear the disc area and Bors Breath are the 2 most common spots tho.

Still no sightings of the blue doggie. Our guild was talking in Vent. My friend was saying "Hey, there's this big blue dog here with lightning, you should get him..."

If only it were that easy. I forget how many people have no idea what the Spirit Beasts are or how difficult they can be to get.

the time i tamed him he was near the worms
when i found him for my ex gm he was there again
for my BF i found him on the frozen lake
from my BF's friend i found him by the worms again
for a hunter in our guild whom i hate i found by the frozen lake
and the last time i saw him was at the disc

tbh you best bet would be to follow the TLPD path you cant have 2 rares in the same area and that path would ensure you kill them all

Mine (Frostfang) I found above Brunhildar... I see him standing there quite alot.. He walks back and forth from the disk to the edge and looks down upon brunnhildar
