Archeology 4.0.6

Just wondering if the news about the 200 maximum fragment cap means:

a) you physically can't loot any more if you already have 200 or more fragments?
b) you can loot, but will have a loot box with nothing in it
c) the corresponding race will no longer spawn for you

Does anyone have any info on this?

i would bet that you would just not be able to loot it, saying "you cannot carry more of that type of item" or something.

Might as well just use them up if you're that high

You can't loot them, simply. That race's sites will still spawn.

A bad, completely unneeded nerf. They could al LEAST bump up trash sell prices to compensate. Twenty minutes for a grey worth five silver just isn't worth it.

They did bump up the trash prices, but it's still not going to fix archaeology completely. I've done it for hours and hours and hours on my priest for the vanity pet from tol'vir and the trinket from NEs and every time I see a fossil site I want to put my fist through my monitor. D: But, I did manage to save 3 kraken tentacles that are now 200g each come tomorrow...yay?

Check MMOChamp front page for the new prices of the vendor trash.

I've been holding onto a ton of artifacts in my bags waiting for the price buff tomorrow. x) Finally I can sell them all after maintenance and free up my bag space again.

they really need to add more lvl 85 epic BOAs, i mean the only ones out there are for casters or one sword for a DK/Warr/Pally.

Alot of the BOA epic items for level 60 or 70 are easily outdated within a level or two. They should incorporate more BOA finds that can be from 1-85, I think that would help buff it a little bit.

Or maybe include some BOE's to sell

Do you read patchnotes? :P

They're all getting atleast doubled, most expensive one will be 375, least will be atleast a gold.


I personally love the cap.

Does the cap end up messing with the whole "Don't solve until 100ish" thing people keep telling me I need to do once I hit 70 something?

You don't collect fragments fast enough for that to be a problem up to skill level 100, methinks. :)

It would be most logical to assume that everything will function as it does now, except when you go to right click on the fragments it'll say that you have too many, then you'll have to cross the loot box off (and doing this causes the node to despawn, i've done it dozens of times accidentally while rushing and didnt get any fragments.)

Yeah they did soup up the vendor prices for the trash.. Good thing too, cause I have a few thousand NE fragments sitting there, so hopefully it makes some decent gold. =/

they halved it, so you gain nothing from digging beyond 50 now, I guess you save everything until 50 and then start solving 'em. x3
