My names are pretty obvious. I don't like having to explain how to pronounce them again and again because people tend to add extra syllables when they do that. :P

Regardless, here you go:

Nubhorns is obvious. I'm not even going to go there.
Veeka is 'vee-cuh'.
Naggi is 'nah-gee'.

See a simple name pattern here?

Loya is kinda like a heavily accented 'lawyer'. 'Loyuh'.
Psychologist is just like the word. 'Sy-col-o-jist'.
If you don't know how to say Sigh... /sigh @ you.

And for kicks, pet names.
Veeka's bomb-sniffing boar is Torque - pronounced like 'pork' with a t. 'Tork'.
Her vicious eye-clawing hippogryph is Killinger - 'kill-in-jur' rather than 'kill-ing-er'.
Naggi's familiar, a tiny kitten with a huge ego, is Segretor. 'Sea-gra-tore'.

My BF's brother does it ON PURPOSE. Invisatard, Zombietard, I've forgotten most of them ... but we get a LOT of snarky responses in randoms when I say "hey, tard! interrupt this, k?" until the PuG realizes I'm not talking about him XD

The original pronounciation was something along the lines of: "Fel 'n Dire" - But the very small number of friends that I had would always go: "FELIIII!! :3" when they missed me or hadn't seen me in a while. So that kind of put a little more emphasis on the "I".

Also, at first I noticed that guys would always call me: "Fel" and that girls would mostly say: "Feli" But nowadays I mostly get called "feli" both in chat and on vent. (Just out of couriousity, do you guys think "feli" or "fel" when you first look at this name? '.`

-

So yeah.. "Feliiii" and "Dire" .. seems fairly straight forward. X3

I think Fel personally. Like you were some sort of creature called Idire before, but then you joined the Burning Legion and added Fel in front of it.

Aumecia: ow-MEE-chee-ah or Ah-Mee-chee-ah (Completely made-up name...actually got it from taking the first letter of various browser tabs I had open)

Lavanya: LAH-vah-nyah (My mage main... I get a lot of Lav/Love puns thrown at me, so I just gave up and her full name and title are, now and forever, "Lavanya the Love Fool")
Nekane: ne-KAH-ne (Rogue)
Josefina: ho-se-FEE-nah (Though I don't mind people shortening it to Jo/Joe) (Druid)
Melsine: ...I usually pronounce it MEL-seen or Mel-seen-e, but as long as Mel is pronounced correctly, I don't really care how people say the second syllable (Paladin)
Sakina: not sure if the emphasis is where it's supposed to be, but I say SAH-kee-nah. This is my hunter :-)
Pratfall the DeathGnome: self-explanatory. Bank alt.
Katrynne: ke-TRIN or kah-TRIN (Shaman)
Noriko: NO-ri-ko or NO-ree-ko (Warrior)
Elixabete: el-ik-za-bey-tey (Priest)
Kalisse: Kah-lis (Druid #2)

...Why yes, I DO have alt-itis, why do you ask? :-D

I personally pronounce my names like this:

Furiku = Fur-e-ku
Catalea = Cat-tah-le-a
Kourai = Kor-ai
Rinari = Rin-ar-e
Kaiuna = Kai-un-a

However in the case of Furiku, there is one person who just can't get it. My GM, Az. Every once in a great while he'll get it right, but other then that he just calls me Fu. That or tries not to refer to me by name. Which usually works. XD

Hey look, they announce Illidan returning in some form and suddenly I'm back. Hmmmm I wonder if there's a connection. :D

You really should make a Blood Elf alt somewhere named Idire. Maybe a Blood Knight that later follows too closely in the footsteps of Kael'thas, and somehow winds up becoming what Felidire is today?

"Oi! You! No, not you. To the left! No, not you. Other left. No, no, no! With the spiky armor! That's a priest, idiot! No, THAT one. I give up."

Also. Eh. As a frequent RPer on these forums, here are my char names if you're every curious:

Azunara: (See first post.)
Kozridormu (Kozri): "Kaw (Like a bird. Caw, caw! Ryhmes with Aw.)-zree(Like tree, but with a z.)-door-moo"
Solara: Soul-air-ah
Ivika: Aye-vee-kuh
Shadwyn: Shad (Ryhmes with Had)-win
Speck: Pretty self explanatory.

Typically when he gets to that point someone else over vent is like "Furi, he's talking to you." and I'm just like, "Yeah I know. But it's really amusing to listen to." and Az is all "You suck. You all suck."

I'm not sure what I'd do with an irl spirit beast, but I'd have thought it'd be pronounced something like "VER-ti-ji-NUH" (i.e. a typical French -eux).
I had totally forgotten my promise =( Which is good because I ate the spirit beast I was going to give off as a prize.

Vertigineux (which even I frequently try to spell with a)
ver-TIJ-ih-no (though I may be American-izing it)

People try to call her Vert, I am baffled as to why no one calls her Tig (tij), and one lone guildie calls her Tig (as in, the first syllable of Tigger).

Everyone had trouble with my name...it's even led to a nickname! First night raiding in my brand new guild 2 years ago, I got a 'Hey hunter...Torven..Tyorven...oh screw it, you're Bob.' from the raid leader :P It's changed to Bobette now, but that's essentially how I'm known to my guild :P

My character's name (Tyuriwen) is actually a melange of two Elven words, Tyuri is Cheese, and Wen is Maiden :P I do love me my cheese!

Anyway, it's pronounced Tee-yur (like you're)-eee (or iii if you're European!)-when.

My druid, Taurënil, is another Elven name, for Forest Maiden. And yes, the accent is vital to the pronunciation. Unfortunately, not many people pick up on this =(

It's T-ow!- (harsh rolling (R))EH - nil =)
