Venting over Sambas! why are people such dooches?

Well, i hope this is the right area for my post, being im just blowing off some steam i didnt feel it was necessary. to place this one in the pets one... anywho moving on!

As you know i have been farming Sambas that amazing creature from twilight highlands... this is going on my 5th week.. I receive word from several hunters on my faction that alot of them are having trouble finding this wonderful pet... then i log over to the opisite faction to check mail and see a DK gloating in trade chat about how he is pissed that Sambas doesn't drop any loot and how he will be waiting for Sambas spawn everyday or what have you to kill him... sorry but i have been playing wow now for 5 years almost and this is the first time i have ever just really been pissed off! Yea i know i can't change what people do and yadda yadda and im just venting but i just had to speak out... i hate doochebags!

i would report him for griefing, no harm in trying.

I remember hearing about some rogue that kept killing Arcturis. He would honestly camp Arcturis while other hunters were... just to kill him.

Theres a lot of random Troll Losers out there... I wonder if that DK's mom makes him Meatloaf when requested...

Put in a GM ticket. See what happens. They know that stuff, they can do their research on it when they view your ticket

Id say for sure send a in game mail about it. And why is.. always a DK.. I mean really they are making a horrible name for the class.. its come to the point I see a DK near a spawn of a rare.. I watch them carefully.. like CAREFULLY.. like stalk *snicker*

But I hope he was just being a jerk and not really doing it.

Yeah. I tend to get a little uneasy seeing a DK around rare spawn areas. I suspect that much like druids, paladins and warriors - they are a powerful class, sturdy and solos well. It takes little effort to kill people in pvp - so bam, popular class. And being popular means many, many moronic and rude players.

well from what i heard from my faction, they have mentioned a dk going around killing sambas and how its been twice as difficult to tame.. i didnt see him the few times i logged in to check for sambas today.. so here is hoping

I cannot understand people like that. Blizzard even removed all blue drop from Cata rares! Why the heck bother killing it? No achievement. No blues. Just a gray worth 25 gold; money you can make doing one quest or a daily! I honestly wish the tear was worth even less myself. Like...25 copper. Though I suppose that wouldn't stop idiots from being idiots. /sigh

I adore my Sambas. He is my RP pet and my buddy. I hate to think of some jerk killing him just to be an arse.

More than likely, be was just trying to troll and didnt even kill sambas nor even see him. i see this alot on my server. by now everyone knows that they dont drop loot so they use that to try to make everyone think they killed it.

most other classes do not have the patience to camp a rare so i would not worry at all. as im sure you would love to report him, theres little that can be done.

just remember, dont feed the trolls!!!!!

I wish you luck on getting Sambas. Ended up getting him myself but didn't care for the look so later released. It is not just DKs that are being jerks to hunters. It is sometimes other hunters. I had a hunter (ally vs my troll) throw a temper tantrum when I was trying to get Skoll because I was at the point he spawned at when he did. They proceeded to kill him and then loot and skin him in front of me. And not all DKs are heartless. I ran across Madexx on mine and quickly sent out the word and had 2 hunters fighting over who would get the tame on the way over to the spot. Even had some other classes come over just to get a look at him for later with their hunters or to see it with a hunter in person. I even said over Gen that if anyone else came over please do not attack it as it only drops a grey item because it is meant for hunters to tame. The others were actually nice enough (or curious) to listen and not touch it when one beat the hunters there. It was indeed tamed so all was good. I've even seen Skoll up with my DK and had a guildie whisper a hunter in dalaran while I kept guard to see if they wanted the tame. I did kill him as he was the only hunter in Northrend at the time who could tame but had offered first. I did have to fight with a jerk of a mage when I went after Jadefang but ended up getting the tame. Not everyone is a jerk to hunters although some make it a mission to try to get under someone's skin each day and that just happened to be that guy's day to be a jerk to hunters. I hope he doesn't actually make good on the "kill Sambas every time" bit. *crosses her fingers for you to get your tame*

I dont think all DKs are horrible, Ive actually had a DK tell me about a rare that was up, and also had another DK helping my friend look for loque. It's just more often then not, its a dk whos come to screw up my tame. Had a DK kill King Krush on me and Aotona. Ive heard alot of stories where this DK comes to kill the rare mid tame.. but its not always that class.. I mean I have had a mage kill the Aotona I had trapped for a guildie, had a druid kill madexx even though I told him it only drops a grey multiple times and he didnt even loot it.

But sometimes I agree.. hunters can be more cruel then any class. Especially if they are looking for the rare and have this stupid mentality of "if I cant have, you can't have" so then theres either a tag rare or the rare gets killed. Ive had some hunters look for someone to tame but its mostly my guildies . Actually had my guildie permasheep Karoma while waiting for me to come on, after 20 mins of looking for someone.. he killed it, then wasnt amused that it only dropped a grey as he didnt know and literally 5 secs after he killed it a hunter finally said something about taming it. He felt bad but couldnt stay any longer and said multiple times in general that he was up.. his main is a DK.

But if that DK is indeed doing that.. id have my horde stalking him so hardcore he wouldnt even know what to do with himself. Lets just hope he was PMSing that day and isnt doing it. Cause if he was.. id send in a GM ticket so fast its not funny.. id make an alt on that server just to do it!

Really? That's just well...lame. 5th week, wow sheesh, I'm only going on day three of my vacation in Sahket Wastes for Mr Black or Mr Red, & already going batty; maybe it's cause this is my LAST tame.

Anyways, ya' I'd report the guy, but it's not like his threat was 'serious' unless you see him actually kill a Sambas in front of ya', then that might give viable reason to report for griefin' right?

definitely put that guy on your friend list (so you can keep tabs on him) and spread the word to other hunters you see camping. it really pays off to build a network of fellow rare hunters, and if enough of you report him when you see him do anything, something will for sure be done.

i would also /who his guild from time to time to see if any of them are in TH, because it may be him on an alt.
