Can't say that I have, but that's probably because I've avoided taming dogs, gorillas, and monkeys. I don't think I'd be happy with any of those, regardless of model.

As for a name, I've been tempted to call one of my hyenas Esme, but have so far resisted.

Devilsaurs have a running animation. :o They hunch down lower and open their mouths wide when they're pursuing prey. It's pretty epic and one of the things I love the most about Krush/Theseus. When walking, their mouths stay closed and their posture is more upright.
Do they? I tamed one waaaaaay back in Wrath, and I remember them just waddling very fast. I will have to tame another and see.

Bears and crocs.

Bears look cool in real life, and I love reptiles, so the crocolisk should appeal to me too. But Something about their skins just...does not work for me. At all. I just can't get used to them, no matter how hard I try.

The only bear I've been okay with so far is the spirit beast. It probably helps that he's transparent and has a whacky color. I'll probably give the new crocolisk skin a shot too, when I can, but I dunno...we'll see how it works out.

For me, it all depends on the hunter -- it can be kind of random what clicks with my different Hunters and what doesn't.

For example, with the exception of spirit beasts, mammals just don't click with Cerah, nor do most birds. (My oil-hawk's the exception). Her stables are almost entirely made up of bugs, reptiles and dinosaurs. The one exception is Shenzi, my red hyena, who for some reason seems to fit in just fine with the creepy crawlies. I've tried taming the usual wolves and cats with Cerah, but none of the skins click, not even the "weirder" ones like the hunched, glowing-eyed cats. I'm not letting it bug me -- with my devilsaur and spirit beasts, it's not like I have to have the more mammalian pets for the buffs or anything.

None of my hunters can stand monkeys or gorillas. And Tallstriders rub me the wrong way as well. The only one of my hunters to have a Tallstrider is Toeph, and only because she was lucky to find Mazzarche almost immediately after she reached lvl 10.

Yep, they got added in Wrath! I think because of Krush, since he seemed to have said animations and other devilsaurs didn't....and then they did! :D

I love birds of prey, specially the white eagle model and I've tamed it about 3 times now, but neither of them fit me. I tried to use an owl instead, but when I found out they couldn't use the play ability, I dismissed it.

I also like the new turtles that came with cataclysm, but mostly just Terropene. I wanted to camp for him, but after about 2 weeks, a ton of hunters had him and I didn't want to be like everyone else, so I tamed my beetle instead because very few people on my realm have a beetle. The same could be said about my Sambas. I really really like him, but he's so previlant on my realm (mostly on the horde side) that he's lost his epicness about him. I still use him, but I swap him with my spotted nightsaber (there are no other hunters on my realm with her) every so often. It seems that the more rare a spawn it is, the less rare it is as a pet.

Heh, I avoided crocolisks like the plague for a while. I was just convinced that they would NEVER click with me (though I, too, love reptiles IRL). Then I ran across Gosh-Haldir and figured "eh, what the heck." Tamed him, named him Phineas (after the villain in an RPG my best friend/ex-boyfriend used to run), and... wow. I haven't clicked so well with ANY other pet so far. Phineas rarely leaves my side.
