So while I'm sitting here waiting for Sambas to come out of hiding.. I thought I'd jot down my rare tames and when I got them. I know its all random, but maybe it will help one of you during your search.

2/03 4:21pm - Loque'nahak (was actually looking for Frostbitten targets on my priest, but saw how awesome he was and flew my hunter over for the tame; this basically initiated my rare hunting)
2/08 5:15am - Skoll (this was the 3rd or 4th time I'd seen him on my paly while looking for the TLPD; since I got Loque not too long ago, I had an itch to bring my hunter to get this guy also)
2/10 7:32pm - Jadefang (you guys know this story, heh; my rare pet hunt blossomed with his taming)

Hey there! I haven't been able to log in the past few days, I'm really glad that you got your Madexx!!! I really had no idea that there were people from Scarlet Crusade on here other than me haha. Wishing you lots of luck on your Sambas tame, I have him and he's gorgeous When i'm out in the Highlands I promise to do some rounds for you, i'll send you a mail about his timers if your not on. I'm still looking for a few pets myself, Gondria, Skoll and Madexx have yet to find their way to me yet. Still hoping. Again, good luck on getting Sambas!

Hey Airwyn! Finally someone from SC! heh.. ya I sent you an ingame mail about my Madexx tame to let you know of the spawn time. Probably doesn't matter now, too much time elapsed. But thanks for the post and help on Sambas, I'll do a few rounds for your guys too! See ya soon

Thanks for the mail, its the thought that counts haha! I haven't had much time to play lately but next week I have a week long vacation and i'm hoping to put in some good camping time if still nescessary! Probably the next time i'll be able to play is Thursday, see you then!

I decided to take a break after 4hrs of camping Sambas. Though in my gut I had this feeling that the moment I logged, it wouldnt be long before he snuck out. But I had to at some point, and he was last seen yesterday at 10pm so I figured I would want to be on between 9-11 for sure just in case.

So my plan was to get groceries after I ate, but that feeling was still there... I just felt that if I camped him for a few more hrs, he would show up. Therefore I chose to not get groceries and log back in. As soon as I log in...

Hooooly crap! There he is, just waiting for me near the waterfall. I still can't believe it.. to log in and have a rare spawn waiting for you.. its something I hope everyone has the chance to experience atleast once. My stable is complete!

Of course! He (like many others) freaks the crap out of me when I call him out.. he starts out HUGE and I'm like.. "Aaahh... oh, its just you Madexx" lol

Found Grubby. He was just slithering along, minding his own business. I couldn't fit him in my stable, and no hunters I whispered were interested.. so I left him in his homeland of Silithus.

Parked my priest at Jadefang's spot just to check once or twice a day (I collect companions on him). So I log in and literally think to myself: theres no way hes just gonna be there at this time of day, why am I even checking?...

As some of you may know I can't seem to take myself away from the extravagant, exciting desert in Uldum (yes, thats sarcasm )as I look to find my black Madexx's brothers/sisters.

Forum fortune strikes again, took 3hrs from when I posted:

... but I wish it was before Airwyn logged Atleast he wasn't killed, and we know our hours of camping weren't for nothing. We'll get you your Madexx, dont worry.

I had a feeling you would get him shortly after I logged though I figured it would be the red. Grats on your blue though! And thanks for staying out there with me for so long, it made the camp much easier! I'll be back later tonight and we can do some more camping again if you're up for it

After Airwyn tamed Madexx yesterday afternoon, I checked at the 6-6.5hr mark.. no luck. Checked periodically up until the 12-12.5hr mark, nada. So I went and did a random for a change of pace (sitting around the desert can be redundant). Finished the random, by now it was the 13+hr mark. Did my flyby and there he is.. but doh.. blue again Sent a tell to my hunter friend Shuuko who happened to be online, and they had been wanting a blue Madexx very much. Grats Shuuko! Very glad I could help.

In all my years of WoW, and all my time playing my hunter.. I had never seen the Boar of Blasted Lands: Grunter. I wanted him so bad back in the old days. Camped him for hours upon hours, days upon days. Eventually I gave up (which is very unlike me; I'm crazy when it comes to rare hunting lol), and accepted the fact that I'd probably never see him.

Recently, I started to pass time between Madexx camping by working on my Frostbitten and Bloody Rare achievements. So whenever I headed to Outland, I'd take the Blasted Lands portal from SW and take a quick peak for the boar that supposedly exists. Tonight, I finally caught a glimpse of my old nemesis..

My stable was full except for one spot, for when I come across red or green Madexx. But I couldn't pass up this opportunity. I went against all my beliefs and personal preferences of solely searching for rare/unique pets. If I wanted him so bad, I could have easily just tamed one of the Domesticated Felboars in Shadowmoon Valley. But after all that time spent searching for him, I had to. Grunter - you deserve a place in my stable. Welcome aboard.

Gosh, Scarlet Crusade is giving out Blue Madexxes like there's no tomorrow! Haha! Grats on getting Grunter, I like him a lot myself but I collect the undead pets so I got my own little undead piggy. My stable is nearly full too! I actually dropped a couple beetles I had to make some extra room. I'm down to 4 or 5 spots, I cant quite remember

Went to bed early tonight in hopes to get lucky with Madexx since I knew his last spawn time. Airwyn got red at 3:36pm, so after checking at 9:36-10:06pm I went to sleep and set my alarm for 3:15am. Woke up, checked from 3:15-3:45am, nada. Headed over to Outland to work on my Bloody Rare achievement.. got back to Uldum and guess who showed up while I left...

Respawn time: 12.5hrs

So for my server he seems to favor the 12+hr spawn.. also.. never on the hour. Always closer to 30min before or after his last spawn. But ya each time I've found him (5), with the previous spawn time at hand, its been 12+hrs. Onward to my final hunt: Green Madexx.
