He just happened to pop up when I was in Uldum so I said "what the hell. /tame"

Same thing happened to me with a Green. I tried using him, I just don't click with scorpions though. I wish I could give him away since I'll probably release him to make stable room soon

Aww, what's wrong with bronze/brown?

Nothing. It's the only color I was interested in, and thankfully it's the one I found.

But honestly, even before we knew it was going to be a common spawn, it was one of the least popular colors. Many people feel a need to have a flashy pet. I prefer actually being able to sneak up on my prey, myself

I love my bronze to bits, and it used to be my least favorite of the five colors. He came to me when I was having a really bad day and his goofy personality instantly cheered me up. I named him Fallout, after the game series that takes place in a post-apocalyptic wasteland. Here's a pic I took of him and Selkis (my best friend's blue Madexx), and of course, he's acting like a total nut.

Good luck with finding green Madexx. I'm still wondering whether all the green Madexx'es have buggered off somewhere. I think, if we get one out of hiding, the others will follow.

OK, since I am kind of bored and I just saw a dead Red Madexx I think I will try something that might show how random Madexx really is...

The following is a list of times that I have seen Madexx killed (not dead then found, but killed at this time), or tamed. I am sure I missed some spawn times between some time frames, but I can't be on all the time. I also neglected to write down what color I saw for each time.

I didn't start writing down times til 23 days after I started camping him, so from Dec.18th til Jan.10 there are no times listed.

Let's see if any of you math geniuses can figure out some form of pattern here...

There were probably between 5-10 other times between Dec.18 and Jan.10th, but the only two I really remember (and I don't remember the exact time or date)are the brown Madexx I tamed around Dec.30 and the green one I saw killed about Dec.20-23.

I have all but given up hope on ever seeing a wild live Green one ever again.

I have not been camping non-stop... I have been just logging in whenever and looking. I don't rightly remember when I gave up hope for it.... well... almost all hope.

This might be the straw that broke the camel's back for a little while... I have another MMO that is coming out soon and I want to play catch-up on some console games before the 2020s...

I am not a very happy person right now.

Trust me, seeing the wrong one time after time after time is nearly as bad as not seeing one at all. @_@ 'Almost' because it sort of gives a quasi-timer? Ish?

This is a good point. It's kinda like spotting Vyra instead of TLPD - at least you're on the right track.

Statistically speaking, he has to spawn SOMETIME...in the correct color.

It's going to be funny when and if Blizzard wises up and asks themselves why they have a brown rare scorpion with a crazy spawn timer still spawning in the same zone as the common skin one not even 1000yds away...

They could at least take him out of the spawn table, and I really do not see the "uniqueness" of someone really, really wanting an actual brown Madexx and actually camping the brown for so long when they can easily go across a river to get the skin. It would be a totally different scenario if Madexx only spawned in brown (like all of the other rares that share common skins), but there are 4 other colors to contend with.

:whispers really really quietly:: I agree : x But we wont open up that can of worms here, as its being debated in any thread that speaks the name that shouldn't be spoken, lol. I will continue to wish you luck though! Its probably only a coincidence, but... I've been reading about people's spawn timers on different servers. It seems that each server varies in its own -semi- pattern. One server said nearly every 6hr interval he would spawn, like either at the 6hr mark.. or the 12hr mark, etc. Whereas on my server, its almost always been 12+hrs and is never exactly on the hour, but 30min before/after. So depending on how much time you're able to/want to spent, you can try finding a possible pattern on your server? I dunno, just a thought Gogo green!

i'm just amazed that you've had such horrible luck. This reminds me of my TLPD camp (where I killed 11 Vyragosas before finally getting TLPD to come out).

TLPD spawning is about ~6% or so of the time, In theory a Green Maddex should spawn 20% of the time, but alas RNG hasn't shine well for you.

You'll get it.... maybe.....

I think RNG should let you randomly come across Aeonaxx to make up for it. That would be fair
