Anyone else get whispers from jealous hunters?

I've gotten some nice whispers, but never anything nasty.

Terrorpene wins hands-down for most whispers; it seems that I get a 'where did you get that flaming turtle?' every time I have him out.

Luinn! I've seen you roving about. I hope you get your Madexx. But yeah, aside from the snipe or two about Sambas, I've mostly been getting giggles over iPinch's name (Almost named him iPinchNano) or people liking Terrorpene.

I usualy only get whispers like "Where did you get that pet?" and questions about when I got them. Never realy had any rude comment from others. However, I´ve got some realy nasty comments from people when I´ve been riding on, for example, my TLPD. But since it counts as harassments, I´ve just reportet them and then moved on. I cant help that I was lucky while the guy wasnt. =/ Same for you who got Sambas before them.

Ara, that's too bad that people are so nasty about your TLPD. I haven't had that problem, fortunately. It's just jealousy, but I have to wonder what those people are like in real life if they act like that over pixels in a game.

Thinking back.. I've gotten the vast majority of my whispers about Pahutan, my turtle from BFD.

It's always Chromaggus that I get the tells for. People keep asking where I got him. Sometimes I'll tell them "Its from a magical place filled with kittens, rainbows and EVIL." Of coarse I always end up telling them that its BWL, but then again, isn't that the same thing?

BUT this one time I was farming for Madexx, and another hunter told me he had just tamed it (I guessso I would go away and he would get it). Well guess what, I didn't go away and it spawned about 15 minutes after he told me he had just tamed it, and I got it. Take that, meanie!

I've never gotten anything nasty but many people in 5 mans comment on Ruzgar (Skoll). I also had a hunter ask me where to get him so I directed him here. Hopefully he can get himself a Skoll too! *hugs Ruzgar*

I get nasty whispers about my pet skins. Seems haveing non rare skins is bad or something O.o I can't count how many times I have been whispered by people saying I'm mad for haveing a white tallstrider and the purple or pink tallstrider as those are the "good" colours.

I've never gotten mean spirited whispers that I can recall from either people on my realm or while in dun pugs. I do tend to say thing like: 'I so hate you right now gratz man' from time to time when I see someone with a rare I've been after but never in a mean sense of it. (does that make sense? lol)

I did get a whisper from a lvl 85 hunter asking my 40 something worgen hunter Brophy where he got "that cool bird" when I came back from snagging Olm.

Like someone mentioned I don't tend to get tons of questions or whispers over pets. Then again my server seems kinda dead when it comes to info that is new or new from the blog-o-sphere. Either they have no idea of the new info or they are keeping it tight lipped so that no one is competition at camping it or w/e. *shrugs*

I've only ever gotten one or two whispers about Terrorpene and Loque'nahak--heck, when I had worgen!Garwhal I hung around Dalaran with him and didn't get any questions about him! I was once stopped by another player who wanted to admire Gezzarak for a moment, which I thought was lovely.

I've never gotten mean whispers either. Back in WoTLK though I had TONS of tells about how gorgeous Loque was and people wanted to know how to get him or how long it had taken me to find him. When I got bored I used to run around Dalaran with him out just because I knew people would see him

Alterac Mountains won't win any prizes in the "friendliest server" competition, but I've never gotten hate whispers about my pets. The worst I got was back in WotLK where my boyfriend would nag me to use my devilsaur over my raptor, as "I was a Beastmaster and 'should' use exotics".

I haven't got any compliements on my spirit beasts, mostly because just about every BM hunter I see in Orgrimmar has one out, but I did get some for my Chromaggus, Torrasque (including a couple cheers from Starcraft fans), and for my Oil Hawk, Nightshade.

Yeah I get lots of whispers. Almost every single one of my pets is a rare, unique skin or a macro tamed pet from the shattering so the whispers never really stop x.X
My AQ boss bug and my chimaeras always get lots of whispers and I gladly tell people where to find them. However- I have a problem with all the hunters who give me the sad puppy-face and talk about not being able to find the pet they want. So more often then not I end up dropping everything and hunting down the pet with them. Its funny because my taming cycle goes something like: “its my rare pet! Mine! Mine! No one else has one like it… Ok fine I will help you get one too” It just gives me warm fuzzies to see a hunter tame a pet we both love so much lol

I also got tons of whispers over my macro-tamed pets back when cata first hit. I ended up being the leader of packs of naked night elves all slinking into places like Ashenvale to tame a wolf. I’m still not sure what to think of it- watching so many hunters running around naked punching wolves in the face o.O It made their day though so I was happy.

The pet that gets the most whispers is Chromaggus. Always have people telling me “nice pet where did you get him?” and a few slightly less friendly comments. My friend is especially jealous of him, but doesn’t have the willpower to run BWL. Oh well x) Most ppl on my sever dont bother me when i try and tame. Then again vannila and outland stuff isint getting the heavy traffic that NR and cata have. The worst encounters i ever had where when i was trying to tame the Razza back when he was in the Arena- i got ganked 24/7

No hate tells, ever. Granted, I can count on one hand the number of times a stranger on my server has said anything about ANY of my pets, and I've been playing since damn close to release. (Now, sometimes my friends have said ruder things, but they earn the privilege by putting up with my antics and frequently helping me with the pets they're grumbling about, so. )

Curiously, my most "oh wowwww, what is that, it is so awesome" pet was this:


Common skin, common mob. But it's had at least four times the noise made about it as my Ghostcrawler, the only obvious rarespawn I own. The blue-berry beetle I use now hasn't gotten any noise made about it, but by now people are starting to know hunters can use beetles, and I've neglected it since I hit 85 and ran out of stuff that I needed to tank.

I think.. Terrorpene was the one I got the most whispers about on Sasrei when Cata first came out, and of course Skoll ^.^ No hate whispers thankfully.

But I think.. right now, the one I get most comments about is my Seagull Changmin on Reika in pvp people find him to be the most entertaining little creature ever.

And I have noticed that people.. always go for him my poor birdy. They ignore all healers and flag carriers and just go for the bird! They have a vendetta against him...

I'm not surprised. I'm very impressed with the seagull animations and vocalizations, and love its size.

I don't think I've gotten that many angry whispers either. The most whispers was of Loque when he was pretty new, and Skoll because not many people knew he existed after that patch Once in BC in SM one person asked me about my Humar, and when I told him he was pretty rare he asked why I named him he way I did. Some other person from the group said that I could name it whatever I wanted though, so he was on my side

Generally I don't run around in cities with the newest rares though, because I'm tired of having to explain to people where I got my pets; if they wanna know, they can come here and look for themselves And yes, this was what almost every whisper for Loque and Skoll was about, not that he looked cool or something.
The nicest comments have always been from dungeon groups though, and one time a player said he liked the name on my Loque (think he was danish or norwegian) and I was surprised and asked if he really knew what it meant

Oh, and the person I get most whispers from about pets are my BFs friend, always telling me to go tame this or that (and he has never even had a hunter) "Hey, Skoll looks cool, you need him!", "You can't get rid of your jormungar, he is awesome!", "Are snails tameable?"
"You need Chromaggus!" Me: "Why?" Him: "Because he is annoying and loud!" Me: "But isn't my MC core hound enough?" Him: "NO! You need Chromaggus!"
