TAMABLE HYDRAS? (patch 4.1 on PTR, no tamables found yet)

Well if they were to be exotic, so far there is 3 ferocity, 3 tenacity and only 2 cunning exotic families avalible at the moment.... you know, just saying....

Babies hush temporarily. Some will keep on crying. It's just a way to shut them up with little to no effort and that was my point. Giving a spec something shiny isn't giving it love; making all specs as equal as possible is giving them love, and Blizzard's finally almost at that point.

I don't see why hydras *have* to be exotic either. They don't look as exotic as core hounds and spirit beasts and the like and it would be nice not to feel like I need to make every one of my hunters be BM because BM has all the coolest pets. I'd like to see MM and SV get some love with some truly neat and unique non-exotics and I think hydras are the perfect solution.

By the way, Taluwen reminded me that the ghost hydra isn't on the hydra page yet. I left him on crocolisks for now, but he'll go on the Patch 4.1 page as a hydra as soon as I hack my DB again.

Well think Ghost Hydra might be good for "Wierd one not too sure of yet" since they're the only one thats probably gonna do anything wierd more so given it's in between state at the moment. Actually managed to persuade the PTR to download so when it eventually does as I assume Hydras are tamable at the moment if broken, see if Vorsha is snipable by an Alliance charra. By all rights it should be but no harm being sure right?

Also that image you pulled up for Chimereon is gross I love it.

dont forget to beast lore some stags while your at it...you never know...since hydras and deer are at the top of the please can we finally tame them list and hydra's might have the green light, hopefully stags wont be to far behind.

Hee, nice Hydra page Mania! It's incredible to see them all laid out like that.

I also noticed for the first time while going through each one that the Grey Hydra is the only model that has pupils. All of the other vanilla skins have a solid-coloured eye. /random tidbit

A hydra family page has been added to Petopia with what little info we currently have or might guess and a BIG warning. But I thought it might be handy for the skins, especially since the data was already summarized so nicely in this thread.

Did folks say that their ghost hydras are still showing up as Crocolisks when Beast Lored? Are they still showing their Ankle Crack ability?

When manually untalented, do they still have Tenacity talents?

The way I read it, they were not calling anyone a baby (well, with exception being given to infant children). Tyger made an analogy that giving BM a new exotic pet to try and allay complaints over BM DPS is "like giving a baby a pacifier". I don't see that as calling someone a baby; the analogy is that babies have one way of expressing complaints, and a pacifier may stop the complaining but won't fix the problem.Taluwen and Tyger briefly argued over that analogy, but again I didn't see either of them calling anyone a baby.

Since they only have one familiy skill at the time, one could surmise that they will be non-exotic. However, since this patch still appears to be in it's early stages, there still is a chance that this could change. If it turns out that they end up being exotic, one could wager a guess that they are due to get another ability. As for their current raid buff (crit buff similar to wolves and devilsaurs) it might not be a bad thing if it is the same as those pre-existing buffs as it gives hunters more choice of pets skins while still allowing them access to the crit buff. After all, wouldn't more choice in pet skins be, if nothing else, a good thing?

I was not calling anyone a baby, I was making an analogy. Anyway, now that I've had some sleep, I'm going to go see which hydra I'd like to tame.

Finally, my favorite beast in WoW will become tamable!
I got Devilsaurs (my #2) and Corehounds (my #3) so getting a couple of hydras will make my day.

I looked but I could not find the Hydra page.
