I believe she said huntard jokingly, especially as it is followed by a :p, and that smiley means (AFAIK) teasing in a joking mannern.
Yeah, I understand that part, but it's still offensive to me when hunters call other intelligent hunters huntards, even in jest.

That's not really an excuse, though. It's the same as using the term "gay" to refer to something stupid or idiotic... it's taking a term outt of context and giving it a negative connotation that the term itself does not warrant.

Then again, you can hardly compare the terms huntard and gay.

But I'ma quit on this discussion now.

I also exist on DeviantArt.

Same intent, regardless of the severity of the insult.

Anyway, dropping it. ^_^

I'm gonna drop it in a sec. I'm not comparing the terms huntard and gay. I'm comparing the terms retard and gay. Cause really, when you say huntard, you're not talking about the person's class beyond the assumption that all people that fall into that category choose to play hunters.

Aaaaand dropped.

You didn't raid in BC, did you?

You're kind of missing the point :P I meant my comment to be a total joke, considering i've seen most of the hunters here as BM spec (kind of a little stab at your play-style.. jokingly of course ^.^) But I did play in BC, in fact i've BEEN playing since Pre-BC, just want to clearify that.. i don't mean to sound like a know-it-all, but I hope your comment wasn't meant seriously :) BM "WAS" a good spec in BC, but now it's much more difficult to play (in my honest opinion), kind of like how Surv was the "dumbass-melee hunter" spec in pre-BC, now it helps me grind out 7k dps in simple dungeons or 10 mans hehe.

But, I digress, specs often switch from being "OMGWTFOP" to "LULSUXSORZ" as the fellow people on my realm would quote... so it obviously depends on your play-style and what you prefer for your hunter :) or what you're best at.

Quick Edit: Also, if you fully read my post before this, that might explain a ton as well hehe

Stop right there.

For one, I was joking back at ya. :P And I'm not a BM hunter myself; I'm diehard marks.

I kind of figured =P the main point I was getting at was it's super difficult to get up on the meters as BM.

If anyone out there is a raiding BM hunter and does insane dps, please please pleaseee speak up! I miss BM kinda lol Surv is booooring! Or, yanno.. Blizz could buff BM a teeny bit ;)

They are, with making FI an aura and having it buff steady shot damage by 9%. We'll see how much difference it makes, but yeah. Here's to hoping! :)

If you're wanting someone to come in and say they do the exact same damage as a Marksman as a beast master...I'm sorry, you won't find it. Even I, the most die-hard of beast masters, know that's simply mathematically impossible.

However, for a beast master...I think I do well enough. My 25-man certainly doesn't object.

This.

Also, Giggle puts up very nice numbers as BM in his raids. And we have a few other top notch BM raiders lurking around this board.

I'm no fantastic shining example of a BM raider (have always been more comfortable as marks), but managed to pull 8.2k on Saurfang in my 25m this week. Beat out a couple of our marks hunters. ;)

I also want to add that a person playing, say, marks when the spec they really enjoy and/or understand is BM might not do as well as marks as they do when they play the BM spec, simply because they might not jive with the play style. I've seen this happen often, for all specs of all classes.
