Druid Flight Form on fire? I'll take it! The "unfinished" you are talking about seems to just be the model viewer not showing flames right. The blocky ends are possibly where the fire effect ends.

One thing you have to remember about datamined models is they may not be presented with all their particle effects, etc. Some models are intended to be used only with those effects and they can look pretty rough without them.

Don't judge the model too harshly just yet, because it's very clearly unfinished. I think the rough model looks very nice so far, can't wait to see it ingame.

ZA was one of the favourite raids of the BC expansion and I'm very glad to hear it's making a come back. I hope we'll get to see the gear models return. Also happy to hear that a bear mountS will be available again.

Oh, and we're still missing one BC old world raid, one of my favourites, Karazhan. Man, it would be brilliant if they added something new there as well at some point.

But would prefer they add to it rather then replace it, much the same as they have done with B.W.Decent. I love extending on top of memories rather than breaking them...

That said there is plenty on places they could add things in Kara, and some of the places are creepy as hell...

Well, I've just been on the PTR. I've found black hunched cats and the mentioned (there's a thread somewhere) wasps with new models in ZG; haven't seen ZA yet. The dungeons dc people and kick them out to the start/to Barrens repeatedly.

I can't find a continuation to the Ohgan'aka quest line Mandokir's on a skeletal raptor, which could mean that either Ohgan'aka escaped/was too unruly and he simply reanimated Ohgan, or that he killed/reanimated the daughter to make her more manageable

I have to respectfully disagree.

Karazhan was Epic due to it's size and scale. A full ten people coordinating and dealing with all the encounters was part of it's charm.

I would be sadly disappointed if they made it a 5 man. But, there is always the Catacombs. The Karazhan Catacombs have been in the game for ages, and are currently blocked via a gate in Morgan's Plot (the graveyard you spawn in if you die in Karazhan). We know from older days when the gate did not block access that the design for the Catacombs is finished, it's just lacking mobs (and thus loot tables). It also has some of the creepiest aesthetics and ambiance in the game, for instance, in the Room of Upside Down Sinners (it's a room filled with water, with giant spiked chains networking across it, with many tortured people floating upside down, tied to the chains via a noose), as you swim around, whenever you'd get close to one of the people, with your Ambiance turned high enough you could hear muffled screams and heartbeats. Seriously creepy.

To summarize: Let's keep Karazhan as it is. But let's see those Catacombs used!

It is ? I have yet to see any info on how you will get it. I could of missed it though.

I'm pretty sure its a raid ach reward....look at the facts:

1: There's 2 different versions...so I'm guessing 1 Horde, 1 Alli as 10/25 man achs are no longer separate...

2: The raid coming in 4.1.0 is the elemental plane of Fire....Firelands.

2 versions, I would guess Raid Achievement, and Heroic Raid Achievement.

It's definitely it. I finally got WMV to display the new 4.1 data and that is the Firehawk model with the FirehawkRed skin. There's also a FirehawkGreen skin:

The one thing the image doesn't convey is the fact those bright textures on their body and wings are constantly and rapidly streaming outwards. If you suffer from motion sickness, 5 minutes with this bird could make you hurl.

Most excitingly, however, there's a skin for purple, and for "noarmor" versions of all three colours. However I can't get any of those to render correctly and I'm not sure if they're not done, or if it's WMV. But "no armour" versions of the skins suggest potential wild Firehawks, and hence potential tameables!

Other beastly things in the patch files:
- There's a creature called a "Fandralfirecat". Big patches of it had no texture, so I had to remove all the armour to get it to render correctly:

The tattoos suggest a druid rather than a wild beast, so I suspect we won't be taming this one.

- I think the new sabercub model was displayed in the thread on the wintersaber changes. It's basically a kitten with a chunky saber head and seems to be able to take any of the tiger/saber skins. Very cute.

- There's a new model called a "Hellhound", but it's mostly just a big flaming dog skeleton, so again I don't expect we'll be taming it. I had to strip off some of the model in order to get a proper picture, so I don't think WMV was rendering it correctly. Here's the red one:

Those Firehawks would be pretty amazing--as would the cats, although I assume you're right about them being druidic (what with the filename Fandrel eh? ).

Any idea of Ohgan'aka is around anywhere, Wain? I'm getting increasingly sad that there's been 0 mention of her this next patch. Forum posts here & on the Official forums and questioning on the PTR trade chat/ZG general channels (YES I'm persistent ) have led me to no new info

(In case you have no idea what I'm talking about, it's that cute little red raptor you do a quest chain for in STV--she winds up kidnapped by Mandokir, with the questgiver promising you will see her again--cliffhanger fail Mandokir's on a skeletal raptor, which I'm hoping isn't her, but...)
