Question on Anzu and Blaithe?

Is it possible these mobs might become tamable at a certain point in time? They do have diets when i scan them, u just cant tame them at this point in time. The druid mount model would make a very beautifull pet. Im sure some one has already checked this on the PTR just wondering what everyone ealse thinks? Maybe they could put it as a skin for the Tallstrider family

Tallstrider variety skin wise is kind of lacking anyways it was just an idea that crossed my mind. There are many colors just not looks.

I would love to see Blaithe turned into a tameable mob. In fact i would love to see more of the mount models (armor or not i dont mind) to become tameable. They got the worgs, the sabers, the pvp black worg, bats which are the taxi mounts for undead (ive prolly forgotten a few others but i cant think of them).

There are some families that are really lacking variety and while im thankfull for blizz throwing out what pets they do since they are becoming absolutely gorgeous looking, i feel they are ignoring some of them. Yes they added new mobs using the same skin as an existing mob, they arent ignoring the family entirely but i feel they are just feeling that pets like Tallstriders, Bats (though they changed the eyes ), Spore bats (they are just too bland for their environment, look at the nether rays for example!! btw they dont have an idle position which totally turned me off keeping one ._.) are "ugly and no one wants them so why bother making new skins/color combos".

Btw I am LOVING the colors on the Lost Torrenche tallstrider lols! I tamed one today when i hit 70 and it is taller then my char by like, at least half my body height xD

Not only that, Anzu is a god. I know you can argue Loque'nahak/Har'koa, but...really. He's a god long-dead. :P

Blaithe was Aviana's consort, I believe, although he's gone mad with grief at her death, poor fella. He's summonable/killable for a quest in Hyjal and is a bird of prey, evidently.

Loque isnt a god, he does get it on with a god tho xD Blaithe is the exact same kinda thing (right? Ive only done the quest once :X I just know Anzu is def a god and a boss in a heroic dungeon)

HAWKSTRIDER FAMILY!!!! We should totally have hawkstriders! There are aggressive killable hawkstriders in the game. Eclipse Point in Shadowmoon Valley had blood elves riding them and when you aggro (and i think kill the elf) the hawkstrider spawns. They should make a hawkstrider family or make them a varied edition to the tallstriders and toss Blaithe into it.

Blaithe is an Anzu (The giant ridable blue bird mount) clone pet mob that u kill in Hyjal for a quest feather. It just crossed my mind when i was killing it because i scanned it in the process it does indeed have a diet u just cant tame it atm.

Yea when i saw blaithe for the first time i tried Beast lore 'just because i can ' and it listed everything pets come with and said 'cannot be tamed', was sad

I mean its fair enough but they are very very nice skins. some day hopefully they could be that of a hunters too. Its just one of the many id like to see tammable on a long list of untamables lol ^.^

I totally support Anzu being a tamable pet someday. Seriously. I would *LOVE* to have that as a pet. If I can have Chromaggus, why can't I tame Anzu? or Blaithe? *Wiggle eyebrows*

Anzu has one of the most gorgeous models in game. Even now it's a beautiful model years later.

So is the winter saber, Ms Doubting Thomas, and yet - saber cats are also a tamable species.

If you look closely, Anzu is actually just a raptor with feathers, so I think that would make the most sense as a hunter pet.

Actually for awhile, Blaithe was showing as a Bird of Prey I'm not sure if he still does, but regardless, he's listed on Wain's "unused skins," as he did show with a pet family & diet.

It's possible he was originally going to be a different bird, and they just changed the skin on the NPC, though--or does Anzu also have a diet?

(And Kurasu, sad as it is to say it, I believe Wain said that Blizzard isn't looking to add any more armored pets to the collection )

... which intention of Blizzard's will hold firm... right up until Kalliope asks for Anzu to be tamable!

lol im glad that my post is getting some attention. I was actually afraid to post anything being this is my first time ever posting anything on the forum ever. And i hold this section of the forums in high regards when looking on news for tames.

I did the same as you when I did that quest - and had the same reaction!
I'd love to see "Blaithe" (or some copy) tameable - even if it fell into the raptor family
