Oh that is pretty...with all the diff names..maybe alter them a bit to sound trollish... That'd be gorgeous...but hmm - I'm not sure about trollish language or how to do that

Yeah could do that. I know Lisaara was Orc pet type with Gargoyles Names. I did a bit of a MARVEL theme too.

Oh you bet! XD
Re: For the...Horde (Yeah..the horde)
Why don't you just... tame pets that you really like?
I mean, if you want a theme or whatever that's great, and I fully agree that some pets just "suit" the character (or vice versa), but there's nothing wrong with taming skins that you, as an individual, just find really striking or sweet or happen to click with
Personally that's what I'd do. Don't plan any tames (and don't stalk Petopia for skins), but as you level, if you happen to see a beast that catches your eye...
I think it'd be fun to have a spur-of-the-moment stable.

That's what I do, and I also recommend it. Planning is so tedious, and then you realize that your choices all suck.Comett wrote:Why don't you just... tame pets that you really like? :D

I've gotta agree with the anti-planning committee, as of now I just kinda wander around and if I see something I like I tame it! And its working great for me, I have absolutely no theme in pet name/color/type but I love them all equally

There's nothing wrong with making plans. My stables now don't look much like the plans I made before 4.0, but I had fun making plans, just the same.

Re: For the...Horde (Yeah..the horde)
I'm with the anti-planning. That's Aloicious' theme, basically. .... well, more like 'rare and challenge tames'. But that *is* a bunch of tames I like!
If you're still wanting a theme, you could just go post over in the 'random pet themes' thread?

I'm in line with that idea:) My 'planning' tends to be along the line of hearing that some formerly untameable mob is about to be tameable and thinking 'yeah ... I've always wanted a ... "
I still wait in hope for the purple spirit wolf.

I guess I mainly meant an idea of pets people think would look good with her, I like to have ideas in mind and so far I only have high level rares.. It just gives me something to look forward to as I level, that and I love a naming theme, sometimes I break it of course but.

Re: For the...Horde (Yeah..the horde)
Welcome to the dark side!!!
I started as Alliance way back when - played there for nearly 3 years on a PVE realm and decided to try out horde on a PVP realm. I haven't gone back hahaha!
As for a pet theme I will try to help a bit later- but I can't right now because I cannot actually see the image of your troll (I'm at my student teaching internship and most of the image sites are blocked, hence images don't show up.
)
So, in short, I will respond later this evening!

Re: For the...Horde (Yeah..the horde)
I never plan my stables, but I can certainly see the appeal on an alt. I can't really suggest themes, although I do hold the Random Pet Theme challenge in another thread as mentioned; it's up to you to decide what you like
As far as naming goes, though:
If you want to know a bit about the Troll language, check here, the Wowpedia page on Trollish (Zandalari). It shouldn't be hard to alter the names to suit your pets.
You could easily change, for example (going with the gem theme) a red pet named Garnet to Garnitt, or Sapphire to Saffir, for some kind of approximation of the language.
Another option is to go with actual Troll words. Shadra, Kaz and Thraze, for example, are words with known (or guessed) meanings in Zandalari.
Or, the third option: Get your friend to roll a non-troll alt. Say the chosen (gem, or whatever) name to them in Trollish, and ask them what it comes out as. For example, Garnet might come out as Italaf, Quashi, or Saakes, among others, but it'll be consistent, and then you can name your pet that. The bonus of this method is that you could point to your pet, to an Alliance player for example, and say the pet's name to them in Trollish
