Lv 80 and a new dilemma..
As most may know, Yas already has 2 spirit beasts. And across 3 alts I have obtained all 4. But see the problem is, there's a spirit beast you have to be lv 80 to tame.
You know of him, I know of him. And ofc it's Skoll.
But that's where the problem comes in- Yas already has a full stable set. And I know I'm going to want Skoll because as much as I adore him on Ryai, I'm going to love him even more on Yas. Why? Because he won't be tiny compared to her.
But I couldn't even stomach the thought of abandoning Landowar [Loque-nahak] for more than a few seconds. And Moonglow [Gondria] is also out of the question. Orthros [MC hound], like the other two exotics before him is also something I can't see myself abandoning because as much as I disliked the shrinkage of them while playing a tauren, I find that it's something I can deal with on Yas.
This just leaves me two pets; Lavender, a Devilsaur and Sunscale, one of the rarespawn gold worms [the Sithilus one].
So the question is; should I abandon poor Sunscale or Lavender? I'm asking because, this isn't really about having the 'best dps pet for an instance' cause I've pulled respectable numbers with Orthros in CoS [boss not trash dps], but more about. Is it alright to load a hunter up on just DPS pets, or should I abandon Lavender, keeping Sunscale because of the fact he's a tank pet?
Right now I am going to temp abandon Lavender since in the end she really is the easiest to repickup. But I'd still like some opinions of other hunters; mostly do you still use a tank pet? Do you think a tank pet will be needed in cat? Or would Sunscale, if kept just be made redundant if they change it to where pets can be ferocity, cunning or tenacity?

Try releasing Lavender and just assure yourself that she's taking a little break and she'll be there whenever you need her in the future. The Devilsaur is definitely easiest to pick up again out of the bunch, and if for some reason you change your mind about one of the pets later on she'll be happy to come back.

Re: Lv 80 and a new dilemma..
I don't need a dozen baby 'saurs running around. I have enough mini pets as it is :d
Anyways on a serious note, ty Veph and Kall for answering :)

They were scourge in disguise? :dKalliope wrote:*scowls on behalf on her own gnome rogue*
Tho now I do have a serious question. Been looking thru WoWhead for Skoll's estimated spawntimers, like someone posted for Loque, and in the latest post someone basically said;
Skoll is no longer tameable. But I've heard nothing here. Nor on MMO. Even checked Mania's Arcania...
Is this just a spiteful troll...?
I've not stopped camping but now it's got me paranoid >_>

That wouldn't surprise me then. Tho the real lol was the one who was a lv 78 SV hunter; went to respecc BM, came back to ofc no Skoll.Kalliope wrote:Actually, I just looked at the page on Wowhead myself. I'm thinking "lolhunterwhowasn'tBMatthetime."
Then you know insults BM specc cause he didn't get 'imba pet'.
6 hours still nothing.
Bleeeh my eeeyeees.
Re: Lv 80 and a new dilemma..
Anyways still no Skoll- and couldn't camp like I wanted too. Evidently all the stress and worrying over finding him and the long camping gave me a tick the other day. Meaning had to take a break :D
*sigh*
Hoping that with the maitanence going on for EU servers, if I can manage to stay up untill realms come back online, I might have a chance to snag Skoll.

No one yelling 'I killed Skoll' nothing. Zip. Zero. Not even a corpse.
I'm starting to wonder if he even spawns anymore on Hellscream, this is just utterly depressing.

ive 'camped' skoll for other hunters your best bet isnt to sit in one place all teh time fly about hopefully you have epic flying maybe ask a pala friend to /follow you just for the aura
also check teh AH most who kill rares do it for the times they drop if his item is still selling he is still there and isnt gonna go anywhere

he is still tameble i saw him yestaday on my realm during the day (got my guildies alt it wewtwewt)
though i must admit he is hard to get i got him 5th day he was out and on my realm i think i was the 4th with him D:

Paitence, he has to see and understand that your not a threat to him before he shows up.. Wolves are wary of those on their home grounds.. And will sit and watch for hours before coming to investigate further.
