Don't worry, it wasn't you. Your 'manliness' is intact.

With the 'tail', like Grace Jones in Conan the Destroyer? I can just see that! I think you and I have similar tastes, Chrizesu.

It was mentioned earlier that hardly anyone plays orc or dwarf women. I just happen to love orc women (they make the best female warriors in the game, hands-down) and I think the dwarf females are just lovable as can be. I especially like the double-braids that swing around when you cast something. For whatever reason, I've just never leveled one up, but I've created several.

Oh and btw, imo the human females have some of the biggest breasts in the game, just depends on the angle, I guess. ;) I'm even a female and I noticed, like...dang...I'm jealous.

Having just created my first female Orc, I have to say that I just love her! :D The female orcs are so awesome in their strength and confidence. I don't even know why they're considered 'ugly' either, they have a quite a few nice faces and some of the hairstyles look great on them.

And I can vouch for female dwarves as well having recently become a convert. I never looked at them much, but they can be really cute if you pick the right face and hairstyle. :D

I'd be willing to play a female of any race really (except gnomes...*shudder*), they all have their unique traits and personalities. I don't always want my character to be pretty, I want someone who looks like she can kick ass. xD

Conceptually I like female dwarves -- and I have a level 71, of course -- but I hate the way that clothing and armor looks on them most of the time.

LOL!

I just changed the topic to reflect what's going on at this point.

As for female dwarves I wish they would have saved the female face they show in the Alpha screenshots. Yes, the face looks more like a human female face but at least it doesn't have a five o'clock shadow like one of the other current faces.

Female dwarves are adorable! Yes, some of the faces are downright fugly, but don't pick those. And the non-fugly ones have some character, which I really like. Much more realistic. I don't care for the available human female faces. Human female faces, look, to me, either vapid or angry. And the males are not much better...why are the men all harelipped?? None of them have much character. I wish that they would revamp humans to look a bit more like the Valkyr in Northrend. That would be an improvment. That and getting rid of the Macarena dance.
I love the old female trolls! More tusky and fierce.
Female orcs are my other favorite female, after dwarves. So tough!
I like my toons to look female and pretty, but not like a showpiece.

Ok, just looked at all the screen shots from that archived page (great find, btw! thank you)

Dwarves - good then, good now
Humans - oh, man...what did they do?? so much better then! Actually looks kinda like what I was thinking would be an improvement!
Gnomes - not much difference
Night elves - better then, but not a huge difference. The faces were sharper and more "elven" looking, imo

Tauren - better now
Trolls - better then
Orcs - different now, but just as good
Undead - not much of a difference

I didn't see a HUGE difference in Alpha Male Humans compared to now, but I agree that the Alpha Females were much better
