To echo TygerDarkstorm, could you please do those two gals a favor and post in the given format (name, level, etc.) every single time, so that they don't have to go digging back through this thread to find where you first posted that info? It's a lot of work (or so they claim... hey, put down the pitchfork, I was just kidding. Honest), so making the process easier for them is always a good idea.

It does help us a ton if you could please repost the full request format at the end of your report when you want another one. There's a lot of information for us to cipher through as we both enjoy reading the reports and in order to determine who needs rolls and how many, we have to find where the rolls were last handed out. A lot of information to go through indeed and if you guys can make it easier by reposting the request form, it helps us get you your rolls faster.

Ok, Im done douting over my pretty girl.

The red dev-lizzard (Devilsaurs) wasnt too hard to find. I went after the quest related one named Devilsaurs Queen (it may have been a queen but bare with me on me calling it a him...) It still makes me kind of sad just how much they srinky-dink down but oh well I quicky put my new friend to action doing my mount quest daily in Un'Goro and he seemed happy to put in his best...stompping and chomping sithlids left and right. (and a alliance pally who hit him for some reason and was killed befor I could call him off...oops) All in all I have allways liked the devilsaurs, this one has some beautiful color once you get him out of Un'Goro...I dont think the light there does any of its animals any justice. Not sure if they all do but he does roar on his idle pet action (cant for the life of me remember if Yummz does, I normaly have the noise off when I play).

Being the game would not let me name him his full name SirStompumz will be showing only his informal name Stompumz

Tyger, I will be completely honest, I cringed when I rolled that ravager for you. I thought you might like it and I'm glad you do, but I personally want to gag at it. The "puke" green is......puke green! But the pink and purple are really nice haha.

But yeah, I love that ravager! I figure he's one of those kind of pets that will only appeal to certain people so he should be a pretty unique pet to have. The puke green is one of the reasons I think he fits so well with Yzma.

I'm looking forward to the rhino report; it's the same color rhino I had as a challenge for Vitani and I fell in love with mine. The bleed is useless, but rhino bowling is just too much fun!

Luckily i had taken the Ashenvale fp, when i ventured to Azhara for my previos challenge, so i flew to Azhara to tame the bear



And, as with all my pets on predatoria, the name came to me, the second i tame the bear. Meet Bamboo.



I like bears, just the model could use some improvements. The view which we hunters most see our pets.. the behind area... well The tail bugs me, the hiney (nice word for butt) really bugs me.. from fare away its ok, but up close... is it me or does it look like a nose?? (warning after the original pictiere there is a " cant unsee picture")





The teeth... looks like my poor bear have been chewing tobacoo.. they are soo yellow!! And i dont like that the mouth never closes..

He also did well in the dungeon i went into. The aoe ability is quite handy if you havent got a Warrior tank (which we didt, out of sheer "luck").



Bamboo and me really bonded, and despite the hiney annoyance, he is staying in my stables. I just wish that he could have a "paint" pattern. I dont know if these skin are difficult to incoperate on pets, cause i dont see these patterns ANYWHERE (cept the Cailico cat, which you can get as a vanity pet). I would love to see these patterns on Bears, wolves, cats, etc.. I could only find horse pictures representing the patterns im talking about, but i think u get it... how cute would a bear not look in these colors??: My favorite color for Bamboo, is the black/white headshot pattern

I don't think that bears ever have mottled colors; that's kinda unique to cattle, horses, dogs & cats. Regardless, I found that the dark brown bear model has subtle color differences that led to me deciding upon it as my clear favorite. Along the backbone, the fur isn't so much brown as it is black. This is kinda hard to tell unless you're looking for it. Some lighting conditions will really bring out a contrast between the brown and black; places include Searing Gorge, Burning Steppes, and the burning regions of Hyjal.

All right, after much leveling (and traveling) of Ruffley, I decided to go to Bloodmyst Isle for the spider as going into Durotar at her level wasn't something I felt up to. I forgot to get a screen of her taming her new spider, but here's a pic of Ruff and Spindle together.


Now, normally I'm not a fan of the spiky spiders, but I'm really liking this gal. The main parts of her body are a lovely, chocolately brown color and her eyes and abdomen are a pretty orange.


Her legs are spiky all over and the top of her abdomen (I believe that's what the "butt" on a spider actually is) has brown stripes on it, and on the underside of her abdomen, are three very small brown stripes that she doesn't really seem to like to show off.


I can't see any glaring flaws with the model, even under close scrutiny. Each legs has its own, distinct separation (unlike tarantula models). The biggest thing I can see is a little bit of low res on the design on her back; which you wouldn't notice from an average distance.


As for animations and sounds, this gal is pretty decent. Occasionally as these guys idle and seem as if they're looking side to side, the motion is accompanied by squishing sounds which I can only presume to be their legs. The sound is quieter than my worgen sniffing so it's not enough to bother me. These guys also have a second idle where their two front legs seem to be cleaning each other (or rubbing together at least). I find the run animation for Spindle to be one of the smoother spider runs.

Disappointingly, the spiky spiders do not have one of the gorgeous spider swim animations; they just walk underwater.

I decided to do something a little different to test Spindle's combat prowess, and instead of my usual questing tests, I opted to try a random....that was a huge mistake. First mistake was getting wailing caverns. The second was getting some idiot paladin who signed up as a tank but was wielding a two hander and didn't really know his way through the instance but the others followed him anyway. Generally you go and kill the snake boss first and just skip all the raptors--I headed to the snake area, they followed the pally around the ledge toward the final room. So I decided to see if I could solo some of the snakes--Spindle and I handled it like champs at level 17. I ended up leaving that dungeon early just because I have a low tolerance for stupid and because WC is long and boring and I still have Yzma's report to do.


Spindle puts out good damage as a cunning pet and since I'm leveling Ruffley as SV until I can dual spec, her web ability will come in handy for kiting when we get to level 20. I ended up being surprised at how much I like this spider skin and Spindle will be staying by Ruffley's side.

I'll see if I can get Yzma's report done before I have to go to work.

Report: Blue Rhino Special!

Alright! Once again, back to Sholazar! Luckily, I logged out there last night while training skinning, so flying over to tame the Blue Rhino was not a problem. Found one, placed a trap, and started to tame. The tame was indicative of the whole relationship, with Genghis standing just outside of the trap's area, and shaking his head "no".

After taming, I started really looking at this guy. Model-wise, he's fine, as fine as the WoW rhinos are. I've never been a fan of the rhino model. Although it would be near impossible with WoW's graphics engine, it bothers me that the hair is so long yet so static.

Not my favorite model.

When it comes to animations, I'm not the biggest fan either. Basically has 2 attack animations - One head swing left, one head swing right. Scaling, he became quite small in comparison to my expectation. Overall, not my favorite model.

Genghis' combat sounds were generally the same as the way my Petemote add-on made him seem: Aloof, grumpy, and generally hating being a pet. Grunts, snorts, and other such noises were common, along with a slight thumping.

Under bestial Wrath, he grew a fair bit, and became a neat purplish colour, but other than that, not a lot of praise. It was while he was under the effects of Bestial Wrath that he was the size that I originally imagined for a rhino.

Mechanicswise, this beast is awful. 30% Bleed debuff, which we as BM hunters can't use. MM hunters, who could use this a little bit, can't tame Rhinos. 2 of the major classes that use bleeds, bring this Debuff with them (Cat druids and Arms Warriors). On top of this, the exotic skill seems fun, albeit not very useful. You can horn toss an enemy about 10 yards forwards. No damage, no nothing. Just a knockback. (On the other hand, if We still had Eyes of the beast, i would love this skill at the Lumber mill in AB.)

Overall, I didn't enjoy having Genghis as a pet, and he didn't enjoy having me as a master. Sometimes it just doesn't work.

Overall rating, 3.5/10.

All righty, time for Yzma's report on . (bleck)

So I made my way out to Stranglethorn to go hunt down one of these 'mighty beasts.'


A quick hearth back to UC and a flight to WPL brings us this:


Gorillas are one of the few pets that I could say I 'hate.' I just really don't like anything about them; sorry gorilla fans. Kerchak's colors aren't terrible. The dark silverish-grey changes nicely in different lightings; the black hands, feet and face look okay too. I think my favorite thing about him are his green eyes.


There is just so much wrong with the gorilla model in my mind. They're just built...weird. Looking at them from behind makes it look like there's a break in his back and his legs and arms just look bulky and bleh.


The side view gives you an idea of how all the colors look in bright lighting. I've started noticing how the undersides look sort of like a poop brown color.

You can't see it very well here, but his legs and arms sort of clip against his body and his toenails are very low res.

And one major issue I noticed with them is how when they rear up, their legs look way too tiny to support their huge bellies, and their wrists clip through their wrist fur.


Animations and sounds. Ugh, gorillas, like monkeys, are too full of animations, in my opinion. The damn things never stop rearing up to beat their chest or scratch their ass. At least the gorilla runs in a straight forward line and not in a goofy diagonal. They make hooting and grunting sounds in combat, rather meh to me. It's not overly loud if you prefer quieter pets. Gorilla's have one of the goofiest swim animations I've ever seen.


Gorillas, like moths, can smart cast their special ability making them handy against casters if you don't like to micro-manage your pet. They're a tenacity pet so they're damage isn't overly terrible but no where near as good as a ferocity or cunning pet. I have no plans to keep Kerchak as my opposition to gorillas just makes me go urgh and I just can't stand keeping them.

I'm game for more, as always.
