Sounds awesome, Rawr. Thing is, here in Sweden you can just walk into a hospital and bring several boxes of pills out, for free.

I also exist on DeviantArt.

If you want to adopt and/or don't want to deal with a pregnancy and/or pregnancy just isn't an option, then by all means that's a great way to go.

Otherwise I have no problem with people wanting to have their own kids, long as they don't have more kids than they can support (includes being able to give them a decent headstart as young adults).

World population is a valid concern, but even there - as long as you're not having more than 1 kid / parent, you're not the ones expanding world population. If you feel responsible for offsetting 10-15 child families in developing nations, that's a noble decision but it's by no means (morally) mandatory.

I once said that I didn't want kids - I've always loved animals and figured that's all I needed, but somewhere deep down I always wondered what it would be like to be a parent... now, being one, while it has its predictable downs - the ups are indescribable, and I wouldn't trade it for anything. :)

EDIT: back on topic - glad to hear your little fellow is doing well Rawr, I was worried about him from his last scare... :D

Hahah, I have two of them and I called them both parasites when I carried them. Pregnancy is by far the worst bit of having a child. Never understood the women who enjoyed it, but heck, good for them. Labour is uncomfortable, but not nearly as exhausting, boring and just plain unpleasant as pregnancy itself. Nine months of no control over your body, ick.

And yes, I plan to have one more.

Pills are so last decade, get an IUD, safe simple and you don't need to mess with those things. The plastic ones last for 5 years and have the same "liter period" meds the pills do. Copper ones last for 12 years but don't have the meds. Both also liten your periods and cramps, I got the plastic one and haven't had a period in over a year :headbang: . IUDs are awesome just take 1 doctors visit, no surgery, does the same thing as the pill with no hassle, and if all else fails they're in the place where egg takes root, blocking it from ever even attaching. In my opinion, best birth control ever invented. http://www.epigee.org/guide/iud.html
I really don't understand how people can want to use the things in your link. I mean, doesn't it hurt? What if he hits it?
Nothing goes up there for me, and stays several years. I use one of those implant thingies, 4cm long stick right under the skin on my arm, keeps me safe and good for 3 years. Pills doesn't work for me, ADHD and remembering things, you know.
Oh, and no stupid periods! I hate bleeding. :p

Yup!
They look all alien like too. Disgusting things. But I want one someday, just not now.

An IUD is placed directly in your uterus. I would HOPE that your S.O. wouldn't be hitting that during your time together!

Here's just a diagram thing for reference. :) http://www.womansavers.com/uploads/IUD2.jpg

I just wish it wasn't such a hassle to get an IUD if you haven't had a child. I can see how the insertion would be more difficult if you've never given birth but still. I guess it's pills for me for a while.

I've been with one guy for the last 5 years, so for me the IUD was the best option. We would be married by now but I would lose my insurance :| . And he doesn't want to get married till he can pay for it. We have survived each other longer than most marriages in this country

@Miyon: I've never had him move it, I can't ever even feel it. No cramping and no bleeding, not sure I've even had anything that counts as a period in a year or so. For me it's the best thing ever, but to each her own.

Hey where are those kitteh pictures?
lol...forgot fetus = parasite.

Im glad kitty boy is doing well. Those operations, my mom use to word at a vet office doing those things, its rather easy unlike a female animal.

My parents one cat does the whole skarf dry kitty cookies then has "eatters remorse" and pukes them up, Im not sure how to get them to stop doing it, wetting the food is a good idea for a younger cat but they do need dry kitty cookies to keep thier teeth clean (scraps the ickies off I guess) Hope he stops his "eatters remorse"

--off topic--

As for the kids thing: I was told at 17 I was never going to have kids due to seriuos health probblems (seems telling someone they cant have something makes them miss it even more) after miscarries and going into the hospital over things we found out I was pregnant with twins....ya...was really freaked out but at the same time happy. Almost lost them twice, spent the last 4 months in the hospital, not aloud to do anything, on "bed rest" (that is every pregnant womans nightmare or evil two words they never want to hear)
Long story short my now 18 month old toddlers are the loves of my life... Yes I hated being pregnant and was scared of my children for 2 months (cause they were 1 month premies and looked like breakable naked tailess lemurs so kind of freaked me out after such a hidious pregnancy..lol....got to love PPD)
Kids are totaly not for everyone, adoption is awsome, my husband was a foster kid and we planned on doing the same some day.
