What bugs me is that his face, shoulders and hands still look old-fashioned and silly, but the rest of him is kind of shiny and well-made.

Don't know what on earth he's hiding under that loin...plate thing, however. I'm intrigued.

First off, I'd like to agree and say that him with legs is absurd, however, please keep in mind that that is nothing more than a datamined model that has no spell effects to it whatsoever. It could end up looking much closer to Rag from MC once it's in game with the proper spell effects.

Aye, true. I generally save my final judgements for the model seen from the live game. But first impressions? This model just doesn't look very epic. I hope we see some work on it in the future.

What gets me the most is that I think he uses the Human Male skeleton. Which is really, really boring to see again.

Actually I think it's the male Night Elf skeleton because the propotions are a bit ape'ish. But not much can be said.

The thing that distubs me is that his armor makes me think that he is in a one-piece swimsuit or in a apron...or in speedos. Take your pick, thought that apron idea does kinda fit since the lil'raggy is a substitute for a cooking fire.

Give him his swirly lower body back, since Neptulon (was it Nebtulon or...) and Al'kir don't have legs but swirly.

There was a blue post on the general forums and apparently Rag only comes out of his pool of lava during one phasein heroic mode.

Or something along those lines.

So most people won't ever see his legs.

The problem is that you have no context or perspective on the model you've seen a static image of.
1) Standing next to the full-sized, animated model will give you a very different perspective when you're looking up from his toenail
2) Knowing that he will only come out of his lava pool to reveal his full figure in a Heroic-only phase of the fight will give you a bit more context

He's not just going to be running around the moment every raid reaches him.

Also true I suppose. I fully expect the model to get fine tuned as they go along too. But just because he's really, really big, doesn't mean I won't be disappointed if he's doing the Night Elf or Human Male run to get to his opponent.

So, I guess you'll have to get into a heroic raid that can make it to Ragnaros, Mozag. Ironic how it's normally the guy wanting to look up the girl's skirt...

On a related note, when Ragnaros emerges from the lava in said phase, I think that a well-timed Charge or Feral Charge should be able to end that phase prematurely, in a humorous fashion

The legs that seem too small make a bit more sense now after reading the blue posts that Celi linked. If he will be so large that we are the size of his toenail then it makes sense he would almost have to be smaller at the bottom - if you look up a building it looks smaller at the top - so they want this guy just to look big all over than they would have to make him top heavy. I don't know if that makes sense to anyone else but I thought I would post in case it does.
