Interesting Sambas Tame

On my server (frostmourne) Sambas is fairly popular, to the point that each of his spawn points has 4 to 5 hunters camping above at any point in time. It's so bad that most Sambas spawns are wasted by players who'd rather kill him than let another hunter take him.

Anyways, around 5:25pm server time yesterday i flew over to find Sambas dead at one location, at this point all the hunters seemed to scatter to do other things and come back in a few hours. I decided to stick around for a little while, more out of boredom than expecting him to spawn.

I checked online and some were saying the respawn time was 6 hours avg, others saying min of 24 hours O.o then around 6:17pm i flew over and NPC scan went off, sure enough there he was, unguarded so i flew in to take the tame

less than 1 hour respawn

Interesting Blizzard have always said its completely random, despite alot of sites listing spawn times in an attempt to discover the pattern. This is the first real proof ive actually seen, random does mean random. I just wonder is there a set number of spawns per 24-48 hrs( 4 spawns every 48hrs randomly is my guess) or does it work on amount of spawns per week?
