If they were going to add more skins to the dog family, I'd personally want a Greyhound/Deerhound/Wolfhound-type skin, as those three breeds of sighthound really have been used to hunt. The only problem with expanding the Dog family is going to be that everyone's going to want their favorite breed represented, and that could easily lead to dogs having even more skin options than cats. Not that that would necessarily be a bad thing on its own, but I would think it'd wind up being very difficult to find places to put all the different dogs.

I merely pointed out a slight difficulty...how do you determine which dogs make it into Azeroth and which don't, and how do you avoid the storm of QQ of "zomg Blizz you GOTTA have Chihuahuas/Labradors/German Shepherds, etc?

If we already had a few more representatives other than a)demon dogs and b)mastiff-types, it might be easier to figure out which kinds of dogs would fit best.

Yeah. I understand the mastiffs since I think they're a standard war dog. I wonder if it would be better if maybe they made a more fantasy-esque dog type that combined aspects of real dogs or something and then just labeled it as a war dog?

I was watching Animal Face Off on netflix today and was wondering if an animal based on a hippopotamus would be possible? Hippos are kind of like crocodiles--land animals that spend a lot of time in water--and they're pretty vicious little buggers in the wild.

Boyfriend gave me a good idea. He was making a joke about dingoes eating babies and it occurred to me that dingoes might be kind of cool as pets. Probably in the dog family, I guess?

While trundling on pushing my Hunters towards 70 yesterday I got reminded. Would it be possible to stop taunting me with so many gorgeous owls? Namely from Terokkar:

During the Skettis Offensive - Avatar of Terokk (Uses Red and Purple), no diet listed.
Minion of Terokk (Red n Yellow owls in the first waves of the above quest), also no diet.
Veil Lithic: Preemptive Strike - Malevolent Hatchling (uses Red and Purple), no diet listed.

None of these drop loot also which I suspect is where the problem is coming from for lack of diet.

I can understand the Blade's Edge Lashh'an Kaliri not being tamable as they are a pet (Even if they do have a diet) but I'd love for some early spur of the moment quests to open both skins a bit. Heck would be resulting in something like the Undead Eagle in that less you bribe someone doing it or doing it yourself, you miss out until later and there's nothing wrong with that!

Tameable cyborg gorilla, please. I've always loved the look of A-Me 01. The Cataclysm update to her quest is great, too. Since I first encountered her, I wanted one of my own, though.

Both of my hunters are engineers and I crave some sort of semi-mechanical pet.

make the new roaming colossus in silithus (PTR right now) orange so we have access to it outside of AQ40(iv tried to solo first boss and the mind control messes me up ad i end up killing my pet) also since it appears to blow its top when damaged it will also add the damaged version of the orange skin

With the new children's week pet in Shattrath and the speculation that it might be a baby strider pet my desire to be able to tame one of these has been re-kindled. I imagine this has been suggested before but I just wanted to add in my /beg. I remember the first time I went to Zangarmarsh I was really amazed by the creatures in this zone and tamed a spore bat and nether ray asap to play around with. I was so bummed that the striders were not tameable though. I especially love the Black Stalker model http://www.wowhead.com/npc=17882.
