Guild rep?
Guild rep?
I'm going to transfer a toon to a new realm and going to try for the boa helm.
My question is what toon will gain the best rep? My 60s dk (that helm bonus would be nice for) or my 85 hunter (who gets more guild xp) ?

Re: Guild rep?
well if your transferring your hunter, you wont get any guild xp. o.o;
Re: Guild rep?
I will be transferring my hunter to new realm and join a guild to grind rep with.
Would like to get all the boa I can to level quicker.

Re: Guild rep?
Would depend on the guild though most guilds frown upon using them for just their perks, from what I've noticed on my server. ^^; So becareful if you plan to do that.

Re: Guild rep?
You're better off trying to grind rep with a guild through an 85. You get shit for rep with low level toons. However, I'd be cautious of joining a guild just for their perks--it's important to find a guild with people you like that you'll enjoy playing with.

Re: Guild rep?
^ This exactly. We had a few people join to get their toons to 85 with out Lvl 10 perks then just leave once they hit 85 and it royally ticked us off. Said people now have a terrible rep on our server.TygerDarkstorm wrote:You're better off trying to grind rep with a guild through an 85. You get shit for rep with low level toons. Re: Guild rep?
I have picked a guild. Its one of the largest on realm. 20-40 people on at all times and gchat is quiet unless someone gets a achv and then a addon says grats.
Anyone can join, its not like Im totally useing them, lol, they also get the rep I get. (Almost feel bad for this idea).

Re: Guild rep?
Your rep means very little to them, believe me. But you've been warned I guess.
Re: Guild rep?
Ok, I see the posts in trade bragging about how big they are and being a lvl 20 and what ever the next member puts up.

Re: Guild rep?
For some reason, I doubt they're actually lvl 20.
Re: Guild rep?
I have my DK in the guild, hit 20 on the 12th, the 11th was the fastest a guild could do it.

Re: Guild rep?
Well you've still been warned. Guilds like that are usually very bad to be in. Members in such guilds to only get perks usually could care less about you. You're just a number. I'll take a guild full of friends than just some random annoying people anyday.
Re: Guild rep?
I totally understand the friend/guild part, my main has been in the same guild for 4 years. Its just a lil to small for the boa helm at lvl 16. I would just like to get the alt transfer and work for helm to help lvl my toons on a new realm.

Re: Guild rep?
Thing is, leveling is so simple now. You dont NEED heirlooms to level. I've got a ton of alts. You can level them just as fast without heirlooms with the way Blizzard set it up in Cata. Plus if said heirloom is via guild-bought, I dont think you can use it without the rep.
Re: Guild rep?
As far as I know I can still use it, I have the cloak I got from a diff realm before I transfered a toon to help level a farmer.
And the helm will also be used on a xp off toon.

Re: Guild rep?
Jess, everyone does things different. If this is the way Zip wants to level, and he/she found a guild willing to accept them, then you should probably let it be.

Re: Guild rep?
Well aware. Just irritates me when people think they HAVE to have it. I was just pointing out heirlooms arent necessary and JP, personally, should be saved to up your gear.TygerDarkstorm wrote:Jess, everyone does things different. Re: Guild rep?
The boa helm is BIS for a xp off toon, or win the STV fishing tourny. I would rather lvl 35% faster the do same quests Ive done several times before.

Re: Guild rep?
Well Blizzard changed a lot of the quests since cata's release so I guarantee you might not have done the new ones in the old areas.Zipdo wrote:The boa helm is BIS for a xp off toon, or win the STV fishing tourny. I would rather lvl 35% faster the do same quests Ive done several times before.

Re: Guild rep?
Heirlooms may not be absolutely necessary, but you have to understand that not everyone likes to level and some people want to get it done as quickly as possible. Hell, I like leveling but even I like having the heirlooms for my alts on my main server.
