Final Fantasy Soundtrack question

this is quite off topic, but I'm hoping there are some Final Fantasy fans on this forum.

I recorded this music MANY years ago, and for the life of me, cannot figure out which Final Fantasy game it is from.

the opening bars have completely thrown me for a loop.

once you get into the main body of the song, its the FF1 theme song, which is actually the generic "opening" song for almost every single final fantasy game up till 8.

there are a few minor differences in chord progression and whatnot that make it specifically the opening for Final Fantasy 1.

great recording btw. what kind of microphones were you using to get such a nice clean sound on your acoustic guitar?

no, I wasn't playing this.
this is a direct recording from the game. I just don't know WHICH game, nor which part.

it was an online video of the music, but they didn't specify which game it was from, only "Final Fantasy".

oy, yes. I've sat through dozens and dozens of videos on Youtube, and still haven't found this track. I've tried everything from FF-7 through 10. I know it's not from 12, because I got this track before 12 came out. Somehow, I doubt it's from an earlier game, the sound just isn't right, but it COULD be.
