While I was sleeping (which I must say is rare for me ) I came up with the idea for a naming theme: song/music styles. The problem is, I have no idea which names would fit what pets! So this is kind of a reverse post; help me find pets that would fit these names.

Teehee, those musical words together look familiar... Nocturne, Elegy, or Requiem all work for creepy pets -- darkhounds, carrion birds, crows, spiders, undead-looking ones. I also like the idea of Song for an owl or parrot.

Elegy - A demon dog of some sort - the dark grey one from Nagrand perhaps.
Ballad - Again, aqua sabercat, or purple sabercat, or Hell-hoot...

Melody, I think, would suit a dragonhawk. Maybe a moth as well?
Maybe a demon dog for Chant? I'm just connecting Demon -> Ritual involving chanting. I think the runed guys would work best for this.
As for Lied... hmm, I'm not sure what to suggest for this one. Maybe a wolf, raptor or rhino...?

I think Melody would be a silithid or scorpid, actually. They seem very cool and melodious with their movements.
Chant seems something sturdy, I like the idea of a dog, or perhaps a crocolisk or beetle? Turtle, perhaps? Or...warp stalker. I have a soft spot for the little guys. I had one in Beta named Nether, he and my orange devilsaur Synge had been my best buddies. >>;

Lied sounds something very flowing, to me. Snake or wind serpent, perhaps a crow.
