Re: Azuremyst, Bloodmyst, Teldrassil: hardest tame for horde
As somebody who recently wanted to tame The Kurken, I can say that your best bet is to get an Elixir of Water Walking, get on a mount, and run across to Rut'Theran. It's a lot faster than going to SW, and you should be able to get across with a little less than half of your fatigue bar left. After that, when you're trying to get on the boat to Azuremyst, pop an invisibility potion and run like hell to the boat and feign death. Now, I'm an alchemist and engineer, so I had an ample supply of invisibility potions, as well as the Rocket Boosts (that thankfully didn't backfire on me).
Hope this helps!

Re: Azuremyst, Bloodmyst, Teldrassil: hardest tame for horde
Sadly I'm lvl 10.
So now I can't even see my coffin symbol, I decided to run back to SW, and noticed that my coffin symbol was moving! My body was still on the boat, so I figured that I could ride the boat all the was to Darn, and jump into the water an rez when I got there. So feeling a bit better, I settled for the trip, but as the boat neared Darn, I got a loading screen, I was afraid it would rez me on the boat again, and I'd just be back in the same situation.
But I was still a ghost, but my rez button was gone! So, after banging my head on the keyboard a bit, I started looking for where my corpse was. Answer: Nowhere!!! So, I decided just to run to Azuremyst anyways, and maybe, what with all the chaos of the new expansion, maybe I'll bug out and rez at the Grave Yard that I'm at. If it doesn't work, I really don't think I can play this toon after all this. And if I do my next pet will be named Disappointing.

Take the boat to Azuremyst; it's the only way to reach the place. See if you can a.) get yourself rezzed on the boat, killed, and sent to a Spirit Healer or b.) Run of fthe boat as a ghost, and go find a Spirit Healer.
AKA Nazthandol, in <Petopians> (US)
Cute doesn't need an explanation.

They "fixed" it so that if you go to a Spirit Healer who isn't the original one that you spawned at, she returns you to your original location. Trust me I've tried.

Have you actually read the thread or wow pedia like at all?Cialbi wrote:Take the boat to Azuremyst; it's the only way to reach the place. See if you can a.) get yourself rezzed on the boat, killed, and sent to a Spirit Healer or b.) Run of fthe boat as a ghost, and go find a Spirit Healer.
This has been fixed ages ago.

Yup, hence why I started the thread.Murloc Chow wrote:They "fixed" it so that if you go to a Spirit Healer who isn't the original one that you spawned at, she returns you to your original location. Trust me I've tried.
Seriously if that was not a problem, I would had not even bothered to start this thread.

Re: Azuremyst, Bloodmyst, Teldrassil: hardest tame for horde
Don't know if this has been covered anywhere yet, but I decided to log onto my Horde Hunter whom had been sitting in an Azuremyst Graveyard since my last post
I've been too depressed to touch her, but her ghost was making me feel guilty, and I finally decided to suck it up. Log on...ALIVE!!! I couldn't believe it! So my theory is she was reset to the graveyard after the patch. I actually decided to get the blue Ravager, might test my theory by coming back and trying for a Moth
(I'm glad this happened today, I had a really bad day, and really needed something good to happen.)

I did this on my orc not two weeks ago... you just have to corpse drag a bit. (Run from Darkshore to where your corpse is dead, then you die from ghost fatigue, rinse and repeat).
It's a bit time consuming, but totally possible.
If that doesn't work for you, look for someone with a 2 person flying mount that is bored.

Re: Azuremyst, Bloodmyst, Teldrassil: hardest tame for horde
I cant say ive done this post-cata on a lowbie but on one of my hunters, i think she was 72 at the time or something, i took the boat to Azuremyst and didnt get my face eaten bu the lvl 85 guards, they paid no attention to me and i was not flying nor was i hiding ontop of the structures since i had no reason to, i wasnt flagged for pvp, i was able to sit on the poop deck (cant believe ppl call it that..) and sailed to Azuremyst, mounted up on my skelly horse and ran over to get The Kurken.
If you plan it out right you can indeed make it over to Teldrassil from Darkshore though swimming as previous comments mention. Even though its horribly difficult now opposed to the boat that used to exist in the now destroyed Auberdine, it seems blizz has given lowbie players who do not have special buffs placed on them or mounts or shapeshift to still aquire pets that are in isolated places.
One very grueling and time consuming method also is to run through Stormwind and corpse jump your way to the darnassus boat but that would take you at least 5x if not more the time it'd take you if you were in Darkshore LOL. Crazy, stupid, humungous waste of time, and impractical but it was funny seeing it play in my head so i had to make the mention of my ungodly terrible idea XD

Truly, it is worth the gold to buy a water walking potion (if your helper has a land mount) and pay someone with a 2-seater to take you from Darkshore to Rut'theran Village (specifically to the boat that goes to Azuremyst, on the west side).

Re: Azuremyst, Bloodmyst, Teldrassil: hardest tame for horde
Here is how I got Duskstalker.
I did this on Kitsune, my little horde hunter, when she was level.. 14 I think it was?

Start at Darkshore travel North-not Northeast, towards the tendrils of Teldrassil-orange or pink path, I think pink was the best for me. You'll die once. Run back and keep on running over the water as a corpse to where you died. You'll start to fatigue but if you aimed right, you will hit the normal water and your fatigue will fade. Backtrack as little as you can to be in range to rez, rez and go back to the roots.

From there swim to the portal leading into Darnassus-blue path. If you die while trying to get there, follow the same path back to where your corpse is again-and again if you keep dying. If you time your rez right you should be able to jump into the portal before the guards kill you. Once in Darnassus, you'll die again-but you will be in the graveyard in the center of the isle when you release. Take rez sick, run and hide until your pvp flag disappears and then take the purple flag to go south to get your kitty.
Did this on Gypsi when she was a goblin for her first 20 levels, and then on Kitsune. It works but all the backtracking is annoying as heck and it is time consuming. First time took about 2 hours, on Kit, it took about 1 hour to do.
And he is not shiney-but in some light he seems to have a glow-he is a very bright white.
-----
As to the moths-I spent all the funds I had on potions of water walking and tried to get there with much failure. *shrug*

It's slightly less grueling if you swim up/down the coast. When you do get close to the boat, it's likely you'll aggro one of the guards on the pier, but your corpse will then be close enough that you can rez on the boat once you get all the way back to it. Unless they changed it in 4.0.6 (which is possible), the guards on the boat are kind of lazy.Xakaal wrote:One very grueling and time consuming method also is to run through Stormwind and corpse jump your way to the darnassus boat but that would take you at least 5x if not more the time it'd take you if you were in Darkshore LOL. Then again, so are city flying guards... I can't count the number of times I've taken the zeppelin from Tirisfal or Grom'gol to Orgrimmar, and gone the entire journey + out without waking a mouse (though that's with a flying mount, so maybe I'm just out of range of 'em all the time).

Re: Azuremyst, Bloodmyst, Teldrassil: hardest tame for horde
I wound up doing this ^ I definatly noticed a difference this time around. After I returned to Brill to stable my Death Ravager I took the Zep to Grom'Gol, swam around the coast (didn't aggro anything, just need to stay far enough out, and avoid sharks), and then swam up to the end of the dock. I actually pulled one of the harbour sharks to kill myself, I didn't want to wait to drown since it takes longer with an Undead, and I actually couldn't get the attention of a guard.Xella wrote:It's slightly less grueling if you swim up/down the coast. Then I waited for the boat ran in the cabin and rezzed in there, once the boat leaves the harbour and the loading screen finished I just ran out and jumped off the boat. I believe that if I waited too long, and the boat reached the dock, that's when the guards become hostile. I think that was part of my problem before, I lagged and then the boat was too close to the docks.
Once I jumped off I headed West to the Azuremyst dock, but I couldn't jump on the dock without getting too close to a pair of guards. I was trying to figure out where I could jump, and this ?? Pally came along and one shotted me! I was livid, there was no call for that, at level 10 there is very little mischief I can get in to, just so annoying! And I was terrified to release in case it put me all the way back in Darkshore!
But what else are you going to do... So I released, and amazingly enough I was sent to a graveyard near by! I don't know if it's a new graveyard, or where I was dying before was too far from that nice close graveyard, and the Darkshore graveyard was the default? At least it meant that I didn't have to figure out how I was going to get on the dock

I didn't have a problem with the guards on the boat to Azuremyst, I did run up to the top deck just in case, and jumped off well before the dock.
Summary:
~Take the zep to Grom'gol
~Swim around the shore to Stormwind (very little risk of death)
~Suicide at the end of the first dock (drown/aggro shark/aggro guard)
~Release and run back to corpse (be prepared for a long run)
~Wait for boat as ghost
~Rez inside the cabin
~After loading screen wait until land is in sight and jump off **if you are lagging this can be very difficult, since it gives you less time to react, so you might need to try this during off peak periods**
~Swim West to the dock with Draenai architecture
~Get on to dock and run onto boat
~Head up to the upper portion of the boat, after loading screen wait until land is in sight and jump off

I would like to announce...there is now a graveyard next to the Rut'theran portal island. *was pleasantly surprised, expected a ghost run from Darkshore*
