So lately I've been goofing around up in Northrend, looking for the TLPD on occasion and fishing and stuff like that. Also a bit of archeology going on but I already have the vyrkul ax and nerubian transformer, don't really want to go nuts trying to get the puzzle box then have no reason to go up there. Well other then Frostbitten but I don't know if I could bring myself to do it when it comes to Loque.
So anyways, while I'm up there I make a habit of occasionally skimming the spirit beast spawn points. So far I've found Loque once aside from when I tamed him, Gondria 3 times (technically twice but man, I found her, did HoO fully on heroic I think, and came back and found her in still up so I'm counting that as a seperate time lol) and Skoll when I tamed him. No sign of Arc yet.
So I decided I'd start rehoming them. Loque's rehome went off really well, found a hunter after 20 minutes or so who wanted him and had been looking for months. He was really happy about it and we parted ways after that.
The first time I found Gondria I let her be when no one was around, because I'm pretty sure I had to do something soon and I didn't have the time to rehome her.
The second time I found her, I goofed a little bit. I found a hunter of the right level, but I forgot to make sure she was BM. I realized that when she got there and had trueshot aura on. A little bit of talking though revealed that this was her first toon and I set about helping her out. We sat over Gondria and talked for a while, then once her questions were answered she continued on to leveling and I went with some guildies to do a dungeon. When I came back at least a half an hour later, she was still there.
So that's why I call it the third time I found her. Once I got back and saw Gondria was still around, I started looking again and found a hunter in the Storm Peaks. She hadn't played for two years and was out of practice, but with a little chatting I got her set up and Gondria was hers! I congratulated her then found out that she had just been looking at the Spirit Beast page here at Petopia and was trying to figure out which one she wanted and had settled on Gondria. Talk about perfect timing! I went off on my own and told her to look me up again if she wanted some help with finding a pet again later.
But my rehoming stories don't end here! I has one more Spirit Beast tale to tell you about!
I went down to Vash'jir to pick up my epic ring from the Earthen Ring quartermaster as I had finally reached exaulted. Since I had hearthed to get to Darn and took the boat to SW then the portal to Vash, I was waiting for my hearth to come off cooldown. While I was waiting, I figured why not I'd pick some herbs and do some looking for Ghostcrawler. And I found him. I asked in guild chat if anyone wanted him/ knew anyone who wanted him but the only one who wanted him sadly didn't have her hunter high enough. So I stalked him while searching every section of Vash'jir for a hunter. There were none. So I asked my friend to do a potentially stupid thing. I asked him to post it in trade. He did and I popped track humanoids, ready to grab GC and book it with him neft batting my butt if someone tried to come and kill him. Luckilly no one did.
Eventually I got a whisper from a hunter asking if GC was still up. He was, and I told him so. Then the hunter asked something that made me incredably sad and angry at my realm. He asked something along the lines of 'Are you selling him?'. I was stunned for a moment then replied 'Hell no. He isn't my mob. If you want to come and tame him, then come do it!'. First time I had heard that people on my server were doing that...but I'm not surprised. -sigh- So the little hunter makes it down just as Ghostcrawler decides to phase out. He freaks and I laugh and tell him to wait, then when Ghosty reappears the tame goes off perfectly. I heal us both up with Zevryn's spirit mend (haha I didn't expect nerf bat to hit me as well) and he offers me some money for finding him. I decline and go on my way, happy that I helped him out.
So long story short: Rehomed Loque, ignored Gondria, Screwed up rehoming Gondria, rehomed Gondria, rehomed Ghostcrawler.
Chances are this won't be the last time I rehome something, I'm already looking for Loque for a few others and I spend far too much time up in Storm Peaks so I will see Skoll again soon I know. So yeah, I'll probably to update this with every time I rehome something now. If you happen to be on my server and want something looked for, feel free to send me a whisper though mentioning you're from here might help. I get whispered by really random people and tend to ignore it unless they mention who they are. XP Horde side is a bit harder since I'm a little Nelf, but we can work something out probably. Heh.

Hey look, they announce Illidan returning in some form and suddenly I'm back. Hmmmm I wonder if there's a connection.

Rehoming has to be one of the biggest perks to being a hunter. I get to meet so many other hunters and they all seem to be really nice too! And it's really nice to see how happy they are to get the pet they've been wanting. I'm a sucker for making people happy.

Right after I tamed Arcturis, a friendly non-beast master hunter alerted those of us in Grizzly Hills that Gondria was up. Me and him looked for 10 minutes for a home, and eventually found a night elf that wanted her. Then while looking for Obsidium, I found Ghostcrawler on my Death Knight. I messaged a hunter in Kelp'Thar and he swam over and tamed him. He then invited me to his guild which is now about to hit level 22. ^_^ Win/Win/Win.

Alright, so I've done it again. I was just flying over Sholazar to head up to the Storm Peaks via a slightly odd route. I'm just flying over the spawn point for Loque where Pitch is hanging out when I start to lag. I know what that means. I've already found Loque there twice, once when I tamed him and the time I rehomed him. So I literally thought 'Well come on npc scan. Do it already' and yep, there he was.
So I fly down and stare, and do a /who sholazar. Imagine my surprise when I see only four people including me. Not one of them is a hunter aside from me as well. It was a bloody friday night, I expected Sholazar to be packed. Apparently not.
So while I start searching for a hunter who can tame him, I start debating on if I should kill him. I'd need him if I wanted frostbitten, I can skin his corpse so no one would ever know...but I couldn't bring myself to do it. Don't think will ever be able to.
Eventually I start talking to another hunter who isn't that interested in him, but agrees to take him after she finds out that I'm having no luck finding an owner and neither of us wants him killed. Forgot to get screenies of the tame but oh well. So we sit and talk for a while and she names him Treasure, and then we part ways.
Yay another rehoming has gone off without a hitch. Wonder who I'll rehome next?
