Nesingwary Guards and my Crush on King Krush

Unread post by Apetk »

So 3 times have I had my scanner go off the King Krush.
1st incident: Halfway through tame(did not tag). Horde Belf pally kills by the Glimmering Pillar. 8AM last Tuesday
2nd incident: Missed Tame near the Maker's Perch at ~4PM on Saturday.
3rd incident: Afk showering at 4:30 PM on Sunday. I comeback, I am missing King Krush's overlay. I was near the bonepile south of the nesingwary camp.

-So after the third time I miss King Krush I am wondering something. Since the guards have gone up to 85, could they aggro Krush and kill him? I know beforehand if you dragged him near the camp and you could potential ruin your tame but I'm wondering whether the upgrade from 75 to 85 has increased their aggro range, or whether Krush actually has to engage something nearby in order to aggro. Perhaps it was a player that tamed Krush in the third incident, but I have been unable to track who it was, even through an extensive Armory check on everyone on my /who Sholazar when I returned to the computer.
But on the upside, I did get 4 spirit beasts this week without extensive camping-Gondria, Arcturis, GC, and Karoma.
My crush on King Krush will never waver.

They've always aggroed onto King Krush and kill him if he gets to close to the camp. Thats likely what happened.

altough I've goten King Krush at 8PM (while I turned my back flying away and right before my rated bg queue poped up), I still can't help wonder how far the aggro range is. Since the game auto-logged me off at 20-30min being afk, I would have thought if the NPC's killed Krush I would at least have glimpsed his body since I came back after ~35 minutes, because he should not be skinnable and killed rares seem to stay up longer before despawning. My assumption now is that someone quickly killed/skin or that the minute I went afk he poped and the guards whomped him up fast. Thank you tough. At least it seems the guards will kill Krush even if he hasn't aggroed them first.

Anyways in addition to King Krush that day, I got Sambas as well 4 hours later at 12AM. <<Happy hunter here.
I got one more stable slot left saved for a Madexx, although I don't know which color to get as a NE male.

Actually if a mob is killed by an npc or pet, it will despawn really quickly. Try letting your pet kill something without tagging it yourself - the corpse will despawn within a minute or so.

Personally I tamed Krush when he spawned on the dangerous path - thankfully he went past the camp without aggroing the guards and was allowed to keep pathing North until I finally subdued him. That was back in Wrath though, no idea if the guards are more likely to attack him now.

I don't think so, though to be on the safe side if I can catch him before then, I usually will then let him wail on me until a hunter can come by.
