Re: Brakara's Journal of Beasts ((Very Image Heavy))

I wonder if you can still do the entirety of the Mag'har quests, now that Thrall's no longer in Orgrimmar? Does anyone know?
Also, has Brakara been in any dungeons? It seems that you're levelling her entirely through questing (which is cool in itself). Do you just not report her dungeon runs?
Anyway, have fun. You've gained another fan

Um, that quest is just removed completely. >.> They didn't tie up any loose ends, they just got rid of that last quest. Other than that, it's all the same.
Up until today, Braka didn't do any dungeons at all. However, Nugget was on today and he was bored, so he ran me through Ramparts twice and Blood Furnace once. Got me an entire level. Usually I'd object to dungeons, but I hate Hellfire with a burning passion. >.> So I'll just say a powerful hunter wanted aid and they trampled the remains of the Fel Orcs.
I'll probably stick to just questing from here on out, but it was nice to get a nice push through Hellfire. I hate that place enough that reporting on it isn't any fun. Zangermarsh is better.

These personal pet challenges typically skip dungeoning because you can't really RP a dungeon as easily as questing. Plus I think they would move along the process too fast and if you ding your fifth level or what have you, most dungeons don't have a pet immediately available for taming.Cerah wrote:Yeah, killing the remnants of the Burning Legion in Outland is a good way to explain her explorations there. Re: Brakara's Journal of Beasts ((Very Image Heavy))

Journal Entry 12
What a strange place the Outlands is. I continue to marvel at it. I was foolish to think Daemon, my ravager, was the strangest beast I would see! I did end up naming her Daemon, "Twisted Soul" in old Orcish. While she may not be twisted, her appearance is.
Last time I wrote I was killing demons, and I continued to do the same. They have strange living metal that is made into cannons - they're somehow disturbing. They even let out death rattles as they 'died'. Daemon didn't blink, but I started to think twice about the metal around me. Demons are strange.

Did I ever mention that demons swarm worse than any creature I've ever seen before? At one point I had several Forge Lords, a demon mistress, a few slaves, and some fel guards attacking all at the same time. Daemon made fools out of them. She leapt around and wove between them, spinning in the air to gash them and leave them crippled. What a beast I have befriended! Rutilus helped too, of course, flying into the air and spitting fire at the demons. He ran off to chase an imp then.

We were searching for a demon lord, who was apparently holding a key. That key would be able to jam a demon portal that was teleporting in soldiers of the Burning Legion. After wading through endless demons, we found him. It? I'm not sure with demons.
Rutilus hadn't returned and I was starting to get worried.

We had one last demon-slaying task to do once the demon portal was jammed - slay Terrorfiends.
They have mouths on their stomachs. What kind of creature has - needs - mouths on their stomachs? Do they ever use them? They seemed to attack with their arms more than anything, despite their horns and huge mouths. Hmm.
Rutilus still hadn't returned!

Nazgrul had a very urgent task for me when I returned. He seemed very worried about an assassin that was supposedly posted down the road some, and wanted me to find and kill him. Cragtooth spotted him quickly as we flew along the road and banked to fly above the assassin, who was thoroughly dead. A thick, strongly built stone axe was protruding from his back.

The axe looked familiar - I guessed immediately that it was made in a way similar to how us Orcs make our own. Orcs! I knew enough about my kind to know we came from Draenor, which is this land. I had heard tales of the legendary Mag'har, the Uncorrupted Orcs, before - back when the Outlands was populated by hundreds of adventurers. Now they've moved on to other lands. I didn't expect to ever meet the Mag'har, though, besides Warchief Garrosh. With the help of a seer's Spirit Wolf, I made my way to their camp.

I met their own captain, along with several hunters and shamans. They were fairly used to adventurers coming by, but I was the first in some time. Travel through the Outlands has slowed greatly.

After speaking with them for some time, I left to find Spinebreaker Post. They didn't shy from giving me many tasks, both easy and difficult, as if relieved that an adventurer had finally come by.

The easiest of them was to gather herbs to help heal a wounded orc. Of course, the herbs grew mostly in a crag filled with ravenous vultures. It wasn't the most glamorous of tasks, but I'm used to it by now. Besides, I was helping an orc.

An undead wanted us to kill ghosts, humans at that. I was happy to oblige. As we were fighting, a MASSIVE robotic monster patrolled by. It was so massive that each step shook the ground and its venting roars deafened anyone nearby.

That, apparently, scared Rutilus out of hiding, and he joined me again by ramming his head into my shoulder and squeaking fearfully. I noticed that he had an imp skull in his claws - he had been fighting.
Another undead, an alchemist, was interested in Fel Orc blood. He wanted me to gather it and boil it in a cauldron that the Fel Orcs had. Overall it was an easy enough task, though whenever I boiled the blood I found that massive black beetles would pour forth and skitter around before running off. Why, I don't know yet.

I was right next to Grillok's cave by that point. Grillok Darkeye, the Fel Orc shaman that sold his eye to a demon for power. Finding him was simple - killing him, nearly as easy.

Zeth'gor was nearby at that point, so I payed a visit, burning all the buildings I came across. The wood was dry and old, as Hellfire isn't the most moist of places, and burned easily.

The stable was guarded by a stable master and several wolves. I felt a pang of guilt killing the wolves, but they were trained to kill anyone who wasn't a Fel Orc - there was little hope for them. I felt especially bad for the brown one, who looked very much like Goshlok.

Then it was back to killing ghosts. They had a commander who held a horn of some sort, and the Forsaken at Spinebreaker Post wanted it. I was surprised to see that the commander seemed alive. Daemon watched my back while I looked for the horn - the ghosts were so transparent that sometimes they'd appear near out of nowhere.

The horn, I learned, summoned the ghosts. And Ghosts, I learned, don't like some of the Fel Orcs. I blew the horn at the foot of a small tower and a Fel Orc attacked - then got overrun by a swarm of ghosts.

The ghosts were quite happy with me. They crowded around me, some kneeling. It was odd. Ghost or not, I've never had a human kneel before me in respect.

Onwards... More demons. Voidwalkers this time. I was to collect Void Shards, which seemed easy enough - until the Voidwalkers started to explode upon weakening. Fel!

We collected the shard of the Void Prince as well. He was massive, and that scared Rutilus. To my surprise and pride, however, he aided anyway, despite the fact that I could see he was terrified. He's maturing.

That was the last task the people at Spinebreaker Post had for me except one last thing - check on a crashed zepplin. It looked like a violent crash, but both occupants were unharmed.

GOBLINS. I should have known. Bloody, spirits-cursed, fel-hearted goblins.
I guessed that they would have disagreeable tasks for me, and I was correct - they wanted me to raid a Ravager nesting area and steal eggs. As soon as I came close I saw that they were the same species as Daemon. She had probably been born there. Not wanting to disturb her, I sent her back to Spinebreaker and took on the ravagers with Rutilus.

I happened to notice while fighting that there were larger, more dangerous looking ravagers about. They were very protective of the smaller ravagers and the eggs, so I guessed that they were adults. Will Daemon grow into that some day?

I didn't have much time to wonder. A goblin - of course, a goblin - landed next to me, riding a windrider. He demanded that I follow, saying that he was going to raid Hellfire Citadel itself, and he needed someone to watch his back. I didn't have time to argue, so I followed.
The POWER that goblin had! He waded through hundreds of Fel Orcs like he was wading through a swarm of harmless bugs, ordering me to pull them into piles and burn the bodies. I thought I could kill many Fel Orcs - I had no idea.

((Thanks Nugget! Two Ramps runs and a Blood Furnace run. <3))
When we finally emerged from the Citadel, it was practically deserted. With the Fel Orcs being the main threat to Hellfire, I realized I had little business staying. I headed to Zangermarsh.
((Continued))

Re: Brakara's Journal of Beasts ((Very Image Heavy))
If I thought Hellfire was strange... Zangermarsh was only further evidence that I wasn't on Azeroth. No Azerothian environment could grow such creatures, such plant life. Mushrooms taller than trees, strange floating creatures made up of tiny, glowing spores, floating bladed rays, massive giants made up of fungus. The only even slightly familiar creatures were the naga and the wasps, massive Flame Fly-like creatures.

Our very first task was to kill one of the mightiest creatures, a 'fen strider' by the name of Boglash. While it itself wasn't particularly strong, another fen strider attacked and managed to make the fight quite difficult. Again showing remarkable bravery, Rutilus helped us fight despite his fear of the huge striders.

Next, it was the Broken. I'd never heard of them before, but apparently they're related to Draenei. They attacked on sight as well.

They were holding a tauren druid hostage, a member of the Cenarian Expedition, a group of mixed-faction druids. I didn't feel comfortable around the Night Elves there and I was glad she was a tauren. She was just glad I was there, and I lead her out of the Broken camp.

Then it was on to killing the Broken chieftain there, another fight that was regrettably easy. Daemon alone nearly killed him before I could draw my bow.

Briefly switching tasks, I turned my attention to the Naga of the area. They were in great numbers and had massive pumps set up at each lake. I was to bind the pump controls with vines, using a amulet I was given, kill two Naga leaders, and just all around kill as many of he snake-people as I could. I obliged.

The leaders were fairly strong, and I was quite impressed. We killed them both, but it was quite taxing.

Binding the pump controls, at least, was easily done. There was little opposition besides the inevitable wandering Naga.

Without pause we were on to our next task, killing Bog creatures in a cave.

They seemed to be fighting things. I intervened, spying a somewhat humanoid-shaped creature being the victim of the attack. When I killed the bog creatures, I saw that it was a What the Fel is that?

It was a Sporeling, apparently. I'd heard a bit about them from the druids, though seeing one was strange. Little fungus-based people. The swamp really was its own world.
They told me about a very large Bog creature at the bottom of the cave that was terrorizing them. It was very large, but not especially powerful - a fair amount of arrows and slashes later and it was dead.

The druids were pleased with my efforts and told me to visit Watched Leesa'oh, who was trying to help the Sporelings. I didn't know she had a cat, though - one quite fond of scratching people at random, apparently. Damned beast.

She sent me to the Spawning Glen to the north, where bog giants were killing spore pods - the pods that Sporelings were hatched from. Spawned from? Regardless, I had to kill the bog giants. They were huge and got quite a few good hits in against Daemon, along with slinging thorns and mud at me.

I think I'll rest at Leesa'oh's camp for a while before moving on. I'm tired and Daemon is battered.
Until next time, Journal.

I'm surprised by just how pretty Daemon is. I never considered taming that color before.

Re: Brakara's Journal of Beasts ((Very Image Heavy))

I think I'm going to do the undead one. Debating between a female named Nattalya or a male.
Edit: Gave the wrong name for the male as it was Kam's hunter's name. XD Stupid brain.
