I tried to get my old Hydra restored, and the GM was very friendly , we talked for about 25 minutes about stuff. And he couldn't restore my Hydra, so he offered me this information since he couldnt help restore it.
Maybe, but I wouldn't consider it irrevocable proof. GM's don't always know their shit...as evidenced by him not restoring your hydra.

my hydra was deleted along awhile ago, but based on all the hydra info added to PTR, and i didnt even ask about PTR, and he brought it up himself, id say its pretty solid proof hydras are coming to hunters. but to each their own when it comes to opinions. just thought id share this since i know eveyrone wants a hydra!
Yah as much as I like GMs sadly they dont know everything and I wouldnt take it as proof until those in the ptr can actually tame it. and he said upcoming patches to so... maybe not 4.1
The GM says though look forward to forthcoming patches, so it means that blizzard is still think about it; however, they did not say they were going to be tamable in 4.1 for positive just in a forthcoming one.
Normally I'm not a huge fan of GM's just because I've gotten some rude ones before but I live in Austin (one of their headquarter cities or w/e) so every other person I meet works at Blizz. They know a LOT more than they tell you. Blizz is just super strict about what they are allowed to restore let alone tell you about upcoming patches. I'd bet that the hydra will be tamable this patch.
Man I really hope so.. every build I get so excited go on my horde whos in sholazar to see if hydras are tameable, and if not try that quest for the ghost hydra.. every time getting dissapointed.. Im like screw call to arms! I want my hydra!
Sshhhhh..where not allowed to talk about "call to arms" any more. I believe it was locked for a reason. Please respect that and find a new topic of conversation.
