The most creepy thing/place in WoW?

WoW is a very cartoony game, but it has some creepy things, for me they are:
- The children of Goldshire
- Karazhan crypt, Upside-down sinners
- Gnoll tents

Anything else?

The abominations pre-Shattering in the plaguelands did scare me. And those that were Undercity guardians.
Oh, and that doctor in Scholomance.

Interrogator Vishas, the torturer guy in Scarlet Monastery: Graveyard. He wouldn't be too bad, but his voice is just on the wrong side of manic for me.

I like Interrogator Vishas, hes my favorite mob lol, also children of goldshire are pretty creepy.

The creepiest places for me are the in-game grave sites of people who died and were involved with the game and such. Dunno why, they just give me a creepy feeling.

That place in hillsbrad where there are humans planted in the ground having their heads attacked by ghouls. that place is freaky and you can hear them all screaming in agony.

Thaddius. If you've ever been in Naxx do you remember that every now and again you hear those random voices screaming for help? Those are coming from Thaddius. Well, more like coming from within him. He's made from the flesh of kidnapped women and children from Lordaeron. I always found those screams to be quite haunting... (They stop after you kill him.)

The undead section of old Zul'Gurub, especially the skeleton trolls dancing in the pool of blood -- and the fact they keep coming back, no matter how many times you kill them. Creepiest place in the entire game, IMO.

I know you mentioned the Upside-down Sinners room, but that's hands-down the scariest place in WoW in my eyes. Crisscrossing chains and corpses floating the wrong way in an underwater random room? Oh yeah. I'd heard that the reason they blocked it off was because it was just TOO scary. The rest of it--Pauper's Walk, the hole dropping down onto the skull pile and the huge low-ceilinged black cavity of a room--all freaking creepy. It's even worse when you're opening the rooms to all the crypts and find A GIANT ARAKKOA staring at you where you expected empty space--oh yeah, I did that to my guildmate /flex.

Scariest moment I've ever had in WoW actually was probably coming in from one of the side rooms into the room with the huge bonepile. Standing atop the bone pile was another guildmate, an undead mage, and he'd called mirror images--there were just glowing yellow eyes peering at me from the darkness o.o

And I'm with Aleu on Thaddius--"Help me, PLEASE SAVE ME!" echoing through Naxx is just horrifying. In fact, most of the Forsaken places (at least pre-Cata, I don't know if they're still about now) where they were torturing & experimenting on human npcs were pretty shudder-inducing as well.

Wasn't Karahzan supposed to have three 5 man dungeons with it? I think if they had gone through with it, it would brought up WoW's rating possibly from a T rating to M rating. I doubt the developers wanted one dungeon to bring them up an entire rating.

Also, I believe those Forsaken are still testing on those poor NPCs in Undercity. There's actually a reference to WC3 in there with one of the Forsaken poking a human turned sheep several times until it explodes. << >>

I agree that the Room of Upside Down Sinners is one of the creepiest places in WoW. The Children of Goldshire being a VERY close second. (in fact I totally got shivers thinking about both places. haha!)

Ive never been to the Kara Crypts though i will go there eventually... once i have Time-Lost...

Creepiest places i can remember is Karazhan itself cause i read the book actually some days before it came to WoW and everything was fresh in my head.

I also a few years back didnt like Dustwallow Marsh but thats because a massive red tarantula spawned right ontop of me and was lvl ?? to me cause i accidently fell off a cliff into a little nook when i was running around barrens..

To this day, Deadwind Pass in general scares me. Kara, the underground part of it which you had to go down for something or to do something as part of the quest chain for the Kara key.. Icecrown if im ever dismounted, scares the crap outta me to be running around down there.

Im sure id agree with you guys about Thaddius but ive never fought him before Ive only killed Sapph and Kel'Thuzad.

I dont like the place where you go in Mount Hyjal to fight Nemesis, i stared at an object for a few min before i came to realize what it was and i felt sick for a few secs cause i all of a sudden imagined what they musta went through before dying.

The place where you fight the Defiler or whatever... its a dreadlord i believe and its in Blasted Lands, i dont like being up there either, theres corpses up there bent in different positions of fear or pain before they turned into dry husks, having all life ripped from them.

Now. One thing thats in the WoW universe but not (perhaps not yet ;D) is the War of the Ancients Trilogy. O.M.G. I was so scared of demons i deleted my warlock (luckily was lvl 20 though) and i could not for the life of me quest in Outlands and it was during the TBC expansion so i kinda HAD to fight demons at some point or another....

It took me 3 months to play again and the first time i saw a demon i literally screamed and made my char fly the opposite way so damn fast it was like i was watching a murder commence. Result of that has me afraid of one spot in Netherstorm since everytime i go near it i remember my freak out incident and avoid it.

I think the thing that scares me the most is anceint giant living things like the shellfish in vash'jir and *shudder* Iso'rath I hate tencticles, Especally towering giant spikey tenticles. Im also scared of felreavers, if your alt is still just a little guy entering outlands and when you feel the ground shaking with that noise, you know its going to be instant death by an oversized robot

oh my gooooooood i completely forgot about vashj'ir! Yea Iso'rath is freaky swimming into the nothingness, specially the area where you have that big fight against the faceless one' army and the water demigod elemental guy is defeated and everyone goes down that big hole.. that place is freaking bizzare. Swimming in absolute nothingness is freaky, swimming close enough to the Whale Shark so he fills up my 21" (thats a biiiig shark.. *shiver*) screen scares the crap outta me

I take it you haven't been to the end of AQ40. C'thun has more tentacles than a bad hentai, and the fight requires you or one of your teammates to be pulled into his stomach by them, where you then have to kick the crap out of his internal tentacles to weaken him.

I guess I watch too many scary movies, TV shows and play to many horror video games that nothing so far in WoW as truly scared me, and I've been down to the Karazhan crypts many times. During raids I like to play creepy music for better atmosphere. >.>
